I enjoyed it and they did look like Kate and Jacklyn. I thought some of it was cheesy like John Forsythe telling Aaron Spelling to think of him next time he was putting another Dynasty together or Aaron promising baby Tori that one day he'd create a show just for her but overall I thought it was pretty well done.

I definately agree with that. They don't exactly have all the time in the world on their hands, so when they do make time it's very nice to read what they have to say.

Someone posted a thread about it which is closed now. Her name was Laura Dickerson and she had caused a lot of trouble at the Diff'rent Strokes board earlier that year. She hasn't posted for over literally a year.

Can't Believe it's 2004! We've already been to some mighty frigid climates this year, and it makes me appreciate how very lucky I am to be a native of California. With the release of "The Carol Burnett Shows" by Columbia House, and now the airing of the Burnett Shows on TV Land, my popularity is soaring for which I am incredibly grateful! The audiences have been just magnificent, but the traveling can really takes its toll. Thankfully, this year, I have learned to knit which makes all the air travel much more bearable! I am about to do an episode of "Yes Dear" again. It will be great to see Tim and so nice to be back in town for a bit. Also look for Mama on "The Hollywood Squares" this spring. We've added our son Garrett to our road crew. He's learning road and stage managing, and even has a small part in my show. He is a welcome addition as it's so nice to have family around.

We just returned from back east where the temps were minus God knows what! It's a good thing I don't live there or I would weigh 400 lbs. The first thing I wanted to do when I got home was cook some beef stew. Since the recipe is out, I'm passing this one along. It's a great winter staple that everyone should know how to make. It's also a favorite on our boat when we do a long distance race. Enjoy!

Chocolate Chewies

Ingredients:

1/2 cup unsalted butter
4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
2 cups sugar + 1/2 cup sugar for rolling
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:

Cream butter, melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Blend chocolate into the butter with two cups of sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Add the vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Chill dough for two hours, enough dough for about fifty cookies. Roll into balls, roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. 350 degrees for 9 or 10 minutes.

Chocolate Chewies

Ingredients:

1/2 cup unsalted butter
4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
2 cups sugar + 1/2 cup sugar for rolling

2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:

Cream butter, melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Blend chocolate into the butter with two cups of sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Add the vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Chill dough for two hours, enough dough for about fifty cookies. Roll into balls, roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. 350 degrees for 9 or 10 minutes.

From everything I've heard, he's one of the nicest guys around and enjoys meeting fans. One guy over on the Hulk board at SciFi.com got to meet him. He said that Lou was more than happy to sign autographs and whatnot.

Also could you make Iola mama's other doughter in this remake? In the original Mama's Family Iola was Mama's prissy neiober and best friend but in the remake of Mama's Family she could be Mama's third doughter. Also could you make Jamie Lee Curtis be a reguler cast in both the NBC and Syndicated episodes and she could in all 130 Episodes. I think it would be could if Jamie Lee Curtis also played a hawaiian girl in the Hawaii episodes as well as her reguler charactore. Jamie Lee Curtis could be Mama's Neiober and best friend in the remake and she could live right across the street in the house that Iola lived in in the origel Mama's Family. Could you make Jamie Lee Curtis play the role of Tess in the show and Lindsay Lohan could be Bubba's sister in the remake. Bubba's little sister in the remake could be Anna played by Lindsay Lohan. I was replying to a post down below and i was just wondering. I know that Jamie Lee Curtis would be a cool Mama's Family Cast Member but, what about Lindsay Lohan. What if they had them both star in Mama's Family. Jamie Lee Curtis could be great as either Eunice or Iola Boyland but, what about Lindsay. I think that would be really awesome. I mean a remake of Mama's Family would totally be cool. I mean they did a remake of "Freaky Friday" with Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan where a mother and doughter switch bodies after reciving a mysteriouse fortune cooking during one of there fights at a local chinese restront. I think the restront was call "House Of Chang". Freaky Friday was a remake of the 1976 version starring jody foster as the doughter but i don't know who played the mother in that one. But I think a Mama's Family remake would just as fun as the remake of Freaky Friday. I mean Mama's Family and Freaky Friday could have one two things in common. One they both had remakes and two the new version of Mama's Family could have Jamie Lee Curtis as Eunice in the NBC Episodes. Also Lindsay Lohan could star in Mama's Family as one of the casts or maybe she could be a guest star. Lindsay Lohan as Iola's neice Bernette. But, I think it would also be cool if the came to the Syndicated episodes they had Jamie Lee Curtis play the role of Iola that way we'd see her more then in the NBC Episodes. I don't think there has to be a remake and certainly not without the original cast. They can't say Vicki has gotten to old for the role like they say with other remakes. Eventually Vicki could play mama without the wig. :lol:

On Animal Cops one night, they had to deal with a man who collected homeless cats. Started out with two or three, then it turned into..... over 300, due to all of the mating. It was insane watching them cart those things off. What's really sad is that every one of them had to be put down.

Ok, I definately remember her now. :hug: One of my family members had alzheimers and my parents took care of her for a few years before she passed away. She was my dad's grandmother, really sweet and full of spunk.

She's my favorite aunt. She and my uncle were the only ones from my family to visit us in NC every year. We never traveled up to PA or NY much after we settled there. She was a lot of fun.

Aww, that's awesome. My greatest memories are those summers I spent with my grandparents, including all of the holidays. I went everywhere with my grandma. My grandfather used to say, "Wanna go fishing with me?" Since then, I've loved fishing.

Oh yea. We used to go the fire works every year(They visited in the summer), and the whole family would go the amusement parks. My grandma used to come with them the first few years but then she couldn't travel anymore.

Oh you just reminded me of when I was about 10, I guess. My parents were really good friends with the neighbors who lived two houses down from us, and I remember all of us packing up in the back of the truck to watch the fireworks in one of the parks for Fourth of July. Corey Hart was playing on the radio. That was a lot of fun. My grandmother used to gather all of us together for bbq's, then my friends and I would go swimming.

A few years ago I went up to Baltimore to see them.. That was a huge event. The last few years I've stayed in town to watch them. They put on a good show for being such a small town.

Yeah, I don't doubt that. The last time I was in Oklahoma, I got to watch some friends put on a fireworks show and it was one of the best I've ever seen. Real small town, but they sure knew how to draw a crowd.. from all over.

I remember, before I was even born, my parents had a Super 8 video camera...They got it in 1980 or 1981 and used to make home videos of my brother and sis all the time when they were really little...I remember that because my parents had a Super 8 reel to reel thing, and we watched the home movies on them. :lol: Great times. I think there might have been a few reels of me after I was born too, but I dunno what happened to those reels.

A few years ago, my dad had one of the reels converted to a VHS tape...It's SO trippy watching it...it was about mid-1981 at the beginning, and by its end, it was around late 1982.

*sigh* I'd love to find the rest of the reels again and have them converted to VHS.

Wow...I wish, more than anything, I would ahve been born early enough to remember the 80's...

I am SO sorry to hear that. :bighug: Nobody can find the reel tapes of me from when I was REALLY little. The only home movies I have of me is from when I was 5 & 6 years old. One of my presschool teachers had a (school) movie of me from when I was 3-4 years old, but she's never gotten around to dubbing a copy for me. :(

Granted, I still have a lot of stuff from my childhood...But not very many stuff from when I was a toddler up to about 4 years old...In fact, there isn't a lot of pictures of me from around that time...So in a way, I know how you feel.
