Exactly. That's why when networks show their primetime lineup, I'll turn to ABC to watch shows like My Wife and Kids, According To Jim, 8 Simple Rules.

Other than that, the TV simply gets shut off.

NBC used to be a big one for me but now I'm turning to ABC for my favorites again. Those are some of the best shows.

I hear ya, Anthony. For many, many years I was a tv addict. There was ALWAYS something good on the tube, it seemed. Now I'm finding myself browsing through my movie collection more often than not, or flipping it over to Turner Classics.

There needs to be a network just dedicated to TV shows in the 70's and 80's. :D

I've always been a tv addict. I still am. I don't go by the networks schedules anymore. I use the vcr to set my own schedules.

I'm only a tv addict when it comes to good, classic shows. That's not to say that everything blows now, it doesn't. It's just that the selection doesn't exactly keep me glued anymore. :(

And like you, I quit going to by the schedules, too.

Now they're copying Law And Order and CSI. They're probably going to drag those 2 franchises into the ground.

They better not, though it's hard to deny the fact that...they probably will. ohno: Aren't they doing CSI: New York now? Last night I watched an interview with Gary Sinise and I think he was talking about that.

That was a good trade: Keyshawn Johnson for Joey Galloway

and so was.....

Clinton Portis (to Washington) for Champ Bailey (to Denver) and a 2nd round draft pick (to Denver)

It felt like a ton of bricks had hit me when I finally woke up and because I slept all of December 20, 1999 away, I have no memory of that day taking place.

I usually can remember what I was doing on an exact date (past the age of 1), but that's the only date in the last 18 years that I have no recollection of. :(

In my area, Small Wonder came on at 5:00 pm (on weekdays) and 1 and 1:30 pm (on weekends) -- until 1988, then it was just shown on weekends.

ABC showed episodes on Saturday mornings in the Fall of 1988, and again in the Fall of 1989 (10:30 am).

My local FOX station continued to show episodes until September 1992.

The last episode was cheesy because it should have produced the spinoff Too Good To Be True (and Vanessa would have been the star of the show)

I've also sprained both legs. Clumsy me. I also sprained my right wrist (that's bad, because I'm a righty) REALLY REALLY badly on June 4, 2001...I was minding my own business on the bike trail, and all of a sudden, I tripped. I tripped over nothing, so my hands shot out to curb my fall. My right side absorbed the impact; I fell to my side on the trail and skinned my right shoulder, too (I had a tank top on that day). That'll teach me to NOT wear rollerblading protection when I'm out rollerblading. I haven't been rollerblading since my accident in 2001. And because of that, the next morning I ended up in the ER because I couldn't move it, and now I have a recurring pain in my wrist...It only happens once in a while, tho. :)

My knees are damaged to the point where I can't squat or sit for a long time without severe pain occurring.

The doctor said I have some type of disease in both of my knees and I had to wear knee braces for a while.

The reason I remember that date is because 4 days later, on June 8, 2001, one of the girls in my grade at school got killed in a car accident. :( I went to her funeral, which was on my dad's b-day (the 12th) and I remember wearing an Ace bandage to her funeral. =/

But I did have some nasty falls....I was once biking up this hill to my paternal grandparents' house with one of my cousins (this was in the summer of 1995, I think). I fell off my bike and scratcheded the side of my right leg pretty badly - from right above my shin to right below my knee. It was RAW and hurt soooo much when we got to our grandma's and she had to clean it off. Ouch...I almost forgot about that accident, because I blocked it out of my memory.

...then there was the time, the summer of '97, when my sis and I were biking to this elementary school where I was volunteering as a junior counselor...My sis went with me to make sure I knew my route to that school (it was a few blocks away). On the way there, there were a bunch of birds on the sidewalk that didn't fly away, so I stopped to shoo them off. My sis wasn't looking, and one side of her bike scratched the same side of my leg that I scratched going up that hill...only it wasn't as bad. There was a bolt or something sticking out on her bike that scraped my leg. I have a scar from it now - it looks like a birthmark.

Once, in Delaware, there was the metal door and my finger was in the way as it was closing and it smashed my finger and it looked like a bloody and pruned raisin.

It was black, blue, wrinkly, and filled with blood and it hurt for 2 weeks, and then the scab started to itch really badly for another 2 weeks.

You just reminded me of a big toe story that happened to my friend. It wasn't biking-related, but it got hurt so badly, she woulda have to had her big toe amputated if she wasn't VERY careful about taking good care of her toe.

A couple of years ago (I think it was early 97), we were all home for the weekend...so I didn't hear about this til I got to school again that Monday. My friend was taking a shower, and when she finished, she went to her bedroom to change...like anybody else would do...There was this big, heavy mirror in her room...Somehow (I don't remember how), the mirror fell off the wall and SMASHED her big toe. I mean SMASHED. She has a scar from it now, and it is NASTY. It started bleeding a lot, and the mirror BROKE her toenail and she broke her big toe too...she had to go to the ER and everything...she had her foot all bandaged up...and she had to be in a wheelchair for a while...not even crutches would have helped...it was that bad...She had to keep her leg elevated, so the blood going to her feet wouldn't clot, and then she wouldn't have to get her big toe cut off...Thank God, her toe is OK now...but WOW. The top of her toenail is all wavy now, and she has this ugly scar right under her toenail...And all of that was from a mirror

Vicki was on a handful of MSW eps in the 80's...I'm pissed at A&E because they never show any. :o The last time they did, TV Guide screwed up on the guest star list and didn't have her name in there, even though when I typed in "Vicki Lawrence", it brought up that episode...So, I taped it and played it later (I had to go somewhere when I was taping it), the guest star in there was CAROL Lawrence...There was no Vicki in there...I was PISSED. That was in June last year, and they haven't shown any Vicki MSW eps since then.

Sanford And Son was always one of my favorites. I liked all the Norman Lear shows. My tastes haven't really changed. I'll admit I didn't watch a lot of Barney Miller then and I like it now but I still like most of the shows I always have.
