A fellow MSTie. There's not too many of those on SO.

I can't wait until the American Idol Top 12 start touring after the competition. I kicked myself for not thinking of seeing last year's top 12 but I think this year's top 12 will be the one by which all others are judged and I would love to see them live in concert.

I kinda agree. I loved the John Tribute, it was really sad to watch it tho. :( The Awards were good, imo. I've kinda lost interest in TV Land tho. I dunno, I've seen every episode of every show I like 10 times.

TNT? I think you mean Comedy Central (the good old days when Penn Gillette of Pen and Teller fame was the voice for the station).

I didn't start getting into the show until the 8th season, when it aired on Sci-Fi. The first episode I watched was The Giant Spider Invasion and I ran out of the room screaming when it got to the part where the spider ate this guy. I have been working for years to get all the Comedy Central episodes. I have a number of them. I heard about it before they made the switch to Sci-Fi but I didn't get interested until August 1997.

I used to watch it but I stopped around the time A Different World went off. I did give it a try since. I've never been a big Friends fan(although I'll watch the finale like everybody else in America), Tried watching Single Guy and Caroline In The City but I never felt a connection. It was like I didn't care if I watched it or not. As for ER I finally stopped watching it after they killed Romano. It didn't seem like must see tv anymore. With Friends ending and the Apprentence now on Thursday must see tv might be no more.

The last couple of years on Friends haven't been quite as good in my opinion, so of course my interest is... eh. But I will watch the finale! That's exactly when I stopped watching ER. Never was a big fan of Romano but I was shocked that he'd been killed off!

Its not that I liked him but as a character I thought he was funny and the show really hasn't been the same since Anthony Edwards left. I began watching Without A Trace and taping ER but I just got tired doing that.
Yea I'm not a big fan of Frasier either but I'll probably watch the finale. After this year only ELR and Will And Grace will be back as top 20 sitcoms.

He could be an egotisitcal you know what, but just as Benton grew on me, so did Romano. It took a while, but it did happen. Those last episodes with Anthony Edwards were so sad and I hated to see his character leave the show. I've missed him ever since.

Will and Grace is one show I'll continue watching and as far as the Frasier finale, I'll watch it too. Hopefully they'll do a good job with it.

The worst thing about it was their was a big letdown after the first 5 minutes. I had to try to remember what happened a year earlier and some of the characters didn't fit well. I mean Dusty was on before the dream started. Where did he go? Wes looked an awful lot like Ben Stivers in that dream but Pam didn't seem to regognize him and the worst part Garry Ewing must have had the same dream on Knots Landing.

I mean Dusty was on before the dream started. Where did he go? Wes looked an awful lot like Ben Stivers in that dream but Pam didn't seem to regognize him and the worst part Garry Ewing must have had the same dream on Knots Landing.

Tell me about it. We're all gathered around the tv, still trying to throw in guesses and then we just sat there. That was a big let down, not at all what I expected. With a show as great and as big and as popular as Dallas was, you'd think they could've come up with something more fitting. And why the hell things didn't fit the way they should've, what were they thinking??

They got what they wanted. The ratings remained high and I actually enjoyed that season but then at the end of the year Victoria Principal left and JR lost Ewing Oil. It wasn't really the same after that and then all the cast started to leave and were replaced mostly by actors who couldn't act. The only new cast member I liked in the later years was Sheree J. Wilson and they killed her off.

I liked her, too. Every time they bring in a new character, seems they wind up killing them off one way or another. A few of the new ones I liked but not enough to still enjoy the show. It really wasn't the same after Victoria left and certainly not after JR lost the company. :(

And I still don't understand why they brought back Katharine. That was pretty confusing.
Now I remember the final episode of Knots Landing. I thought that ended better. I'm glad Val and Abby came back.

I think it ended a week before Cheers but it didn't get the same hype. I know cbs has an interview show at 8 and then a 2 hour finale so they at least treated it with respect.

It really is strange when you flip on an old soap that you haven't paid attention to in years. Days of Our Lives is another one I liked but don't watch anymore. So one day while waiting for GH to come on, I watched for a few minutes. All of the kids are now teenagers, and two of them are supposed to be getting engaged. Forgot to add up there: I loved that commercial so much that I begged my parents for a Slinky. Finally they gave me one for a Christmas present. My dad's parents lived in a two story house, so as soon as I could, I took my slinky and tried to make it go up and down the staircase just like the kids in the commercials.

I never had a slinky. I did have a light Bright set and I loved games. I had Battleship and also Hangman. They were great.

To clarify, I wasn't homesick, I just had a crappy day yesterday. At the end of every day, all I want to do is cut off my feet. OMG. They have throbbed so much every day for the past few days... Ug. I get home @ 10.20pm on Wednesday night (but permitting for luggage, I'll say about 11 for sure), but tired or not, I'm definitely staying up to chat with you guys when I get home. I took nearly 200 pics so far. Thank God for my 256mb card. I took some REALLY cool pics that I can't wait to show you guys. :D

My day today was better, tho... And oh my god. The people over here int he UK are so lenint about smoking. :barf: Enjoy your clean American air, guys...I'm slowly being killed by the cigarette smoke over here. :o They even let you smoke in the HOTEL LOBBY. Nasty.

Looking at the older threads from last year (on Chit Chat), it seems like we were there yesterday! It's really nice that you live in a town like that, where it's small and seems like you don't have to worry about too much the way you would in a bigger city.

Houston's fine and I love it, but deep down I'm more of a "small town girl." People think there's so much more that you can do in bigger cities and while that may be true on one hand, it's the same in smaller towns. Plus, the people are a lot friendlier I think.

My dad told me about where he was when it happened. He was on his way home from school and just as he walked in to the front door, his mom told him to sit down. That's when they saw Walter Cronkite and she broke down in tears.

Well, looks like I won't be going to Paris after all. (I wish my dad and stpemom would make up their minds, but this time it's for sure)

Long story short, my stepmom says the people there are rude so we won't be doing Paris.

And, we didn't do Stonehenge today...Too windy and dreary here in the UK (as usual).

Dammit. I want to come home NOW. I'm deathly bored here. I just want to get the flight over with. I don't like the fact I'm missing 3 days of school...Do you know what that does to me? That puts me in a tight bind, because that way I CANNOT afford to miss any more school...Ugh. Thanks a lot, dad. :p

I miss my queen-size bed. (for the last week, it's been a twin sized bed for me and I HATE IT) I miss my computer. (you don't have to pay to use my comp  ) And I miss the clean air. In London, it smells like exhaust, mold and pee 24/7. Plus, there are a billion gum spots on the sidewalk. How cool. :o

Hey Allison, sorry you won't be seeing Paris :( - hope you get to see Stonehenge before you leave, though! Always makes me think of This Is Spinal Tap.

The one sport I cannot get into is golf. When I stayed with my aunt and uncle one weekend, my uncle flipped it over to watch it. For about 3 hours I was fine, after that I wanted to stab my eyes out.

Golf and tennis have to be the worst sports to watch. I'd rather go out on the porch and watch the rain fall.

The 1950s gallery is one I'm trying my best to add to more often, since dramas / sitcoms are the ones I naturally go over to. First I was only going to add more soap pictures, but Crossing Jordan and Columbo were more in need.

It would be nice if a network I had would air them, especially Life With Elizabeth since I like Betty White. I did see her 1957sitcom Date With The Angels a few times. It was on the Nostalgia Channel(before it changed its name to Goodlife), but my cable company dropped it.:(

Yea I always liked him since I saw him on Flamingo Road. It is to bad its not being shown though. A network like TV Land could put it on the weekends or something. I also read it was tangled in legal red tape so maybe it can't be shown. Dr. Bellows from IDOJ was in it as so was Alan Reed the voice of Fred Flintstone. It sounds interesting.
