Hmmm, this it is not me, since DAX has never contacted me before..
I think the last time DAX contacted me was maybe about a year ago. We never really talked and he did seem like a swell guy. I'm confused as to why he would leave.

Dr. Jazz
08-11-2005, 01:23 AM
I really don't know. He was going on about Miss Golden and then that moderator {I don't know if he meant you Tara} and then he was gone. I didn't see any thread where he was yelled at unless it was in pm's.

The moderator he kept referring to must be a guy because he slipped up and called referred it as "him" in one of his posts today. I caught that when I was reading it earlier today.

You weren't even a mod on this name until recently because your mod powers were still on your old name, so you couldn't have done anything. I did some tweaking at the boards I mod the other day, but that was it. I can't think of a single mod that would be out of line - there's an excellent group of mods here, from what I've seen. I'm confused.
I think TJ is pretty "SELECTIVE" when it comes to allowing certain members to become moderators; so like everyone else I am confused...

Mr. Television
08-11-2005, 01:23 AM
When DAX was referring to the mod, DAX said "he" -- well, DAX threw in both genders later on...

This was DAX's reply to Roby:

That there is a moderator here that gets away with treating other board members with disrespect. I'm not just saying this because I don't like him/her, infact I have nothing against this person, but I have recieved several PMs concerning this moderator and his actions. I even approaced this person at one point. It isn't you, obviously. He/she knows exactly who they are.

I'm the moderator DAX was talking about. I asked Todd if he was talking about me but I really didn't have to because I figured it was me.

I do not know what he was talking about when he was complaining about me. I could see why it was me he was talking about after something that occurred last year. I did a parody avatar of an avatar of Jen1989 (or whatever her name was). He took exception to it because she is his friend.

He should have gone to Todd if he had an issue with my moderating duties. I always emphasize that if you have a problem with a mod, contact Todd because he is in charge of moderators. This rule isn't limited to non-mods.

Keep in mind that he doesn't hate me or even dislike me. He's said so a few times.

Probably because those people are his friends.

I think there should be a rule - a guideline actually - that states something along the lines of:

If you have a problem with a moderator, please contact TJ and he will review the situation and take any appropriate action that is necessary. Please do not complain about it on the boards. Moderators are volunteers and they are selected carefully. They are not punching bags. Any posts that complain about a moderator will be deleted.

I was offered them in HighSchool but I would have been stupid to try them. When I was in JH it seemed like I was in the ER everyweek because I had an attack. That cured me from ever wanting to try them.

One of my friends was really stupid. He has asthma but he smoked anyway.

That's an excellent guideline -- I'm for having it added. :)

Yea I didn't think the post was fair. It had people wondering and he was beating around the bush. If he had something to say he should have took it to TJ.

I'll ask if TJ can add it because I think it is a very important rule. People should contact TJ if they have problems with a mod, not their friends. I can't mod people. Seth and PB can but they aren't allowed to, really. It's sort of an unwritten rule because TJ was the first admin. PB didn't become one until Spring of 2003, I think.

I have an uncle who has been smoking since 1979. That was when his daughter and son were killed by a drunk driver. They were on a bus and it was a church gathering. The driver hit the bus and it was tragic.

He had heart surgery months ago and in a few weeks he started smoking again. He told me that if he quit and it would mean spending a few years wanting a cigarette, he would rather keep smoking. He even told me what happens when you try to withdraw. It gives me even more reasons to not smoke.

My psycho ex best friend has asthma as well- she couldn't run too much in PE, or it would trigger her attack. I remember there was this contraption (ugh...too tired to bother looking up the correct spelling...) that the school nurse would bring to her at lunch...it was basically an inhaler attached to this plastic bag thing...she had to press down on her inhaler and breathe in and out like 10 times...That object fascinated me to no end.

I could not get to sleep until 3:00 AM last night. It's been hard for me to get to sleep ever since I have stopped taking this anti-anxiety medication that also makes me drowsy. I've decreased it gradually over the past year. The only problem now is dealing with a fear of something happening in the night.

Any posts that complain about a moderator will be deleted.
i thought that that WAS the rule???

its common sense though - if you feel that a mod is being unfair, talking about it openly in the forums is only going to make you look stupid and cause problems for EVERYONE.

I hope so.

if not Tara might have to try to contact her.

as for Anthony I don't know if he's gone for good or not. I'd figure he'd let us know something by now.

It's a war zone over here. I biked over to my dad's and am waiting for him. I decided to go downstairs while I wait, and there are sooooo many obstacles on the floor. I think a tornado hit through here and they haven't had time to clean up yet.

I don't know why, but I've never been able to develop a taste for homemade mac & cheese. I like it straight out of the box. When I was going to the deaf school, the kitchen ladies always made this disgusting "homemade" mac & cheese...the cheese was too thick. :barf:

Now, Kraft mac & cheese...THAT is good stuff. I know...I'm weird. :D

We had skater crunches the equivalent of Good Humor Chocolate Eclair pops.
We also had this stuff called LeShakes. Which was like a yogurt smoothie.
my source of nutrition in 7th grade.

In my senior year it was Soft pretzels and Ring Dings.
