The last movie that I watched was “Billy’s Hollywood Screen Kiss” starring Sean Hayes of “Will and Grace.” I was looking through my TV onscreen listings and it looked light and interesting. It was very cute and appealing, but it is gay-themed (the directory didn’t indicate this), so if you would be uncomfortable watching something like that then don’t look into it. It is a romance, not a sex film. A very enjoyable, lightweight film.

Tonight we rented, About Schmidt, with Jack Nicholson and Kathy Bates. It was a beautiful heartfelt movie. I was expecting a laugh a minute comedy, but it's more along the lines of, As Good As It Gets.
Next up was the movie, Secretary. This independent film got a lot of buzz, and I've always loved James Spader. Yikes, what a wild movie about sado-machochism. It was very weird, but I liked it.

Plan 9 From Outer Space by Edward D. Wood, Jr.

Yep, the Ed Wood about whom the 1994 film starring Johnny Depp was based.

This film is a hoot! Considered by many to be the worst film ever made. It is truly an example of something being so bad that it's good. Lots of unintentional chuckles.

It stars Christian Bale.

Not bad for a low budget flick.

Moulin Rouge was the best movie of 2001. It was so good, I saw it 8 times, and cried each time. It was so touching and sad. It was a totally amazing movie. I bought the soundtrack, and "Come What May" had me in tears.:crying: It was so beautiful. I even got it on DVD for Christmas over a year ago.

The Terminator. Great film. I sure can't wait until T3: Rise of the Machines comes out. Hopefully it does well even without James Cameron at the helm.

If Ewan and Nicole couldn't sing, I must have been missing something. Nicole Kidman is a great actress, and a great singer. I don't think Baz Luhrman would have chosen them if they weren't able to sing well.

You're right, everyone's opinion is subjective and we have to learn to respect that. Differences in taste and opinion don't change the fact that we have to be civil and agree to disagree with others. This is what makes us special as people, and if we all were the same, that would be kind of dull. We all have a different take on things.

Has anyone seen the John Huston version from the early 50s with Jose Ferrer as Toulouse-Lautrec? It was pretty cool. I guess it's O/T, though, since it isn't exactly the last movie I saw. I saw it about....hmmm....during the 60s, I guess, on TV several times late at night, and it was very interesting, although a bit sad.

To be honest I don't think Nicole Kidman sucks, I just don't like her. Something about her rubs me the wrong way. If others like Moulin Rouge and Nicole Kidman that's fine. Nothing wrong with that. And I'm sure you have a celebrity that you don't like and someone you know likes.

I really want to watch Two Weeks Notice, Sandra Bullock is a wonderful actress. I enjoyed her in While You Were Sleeping & 28 Days, I can't wait to watch Two Weeks Notice.

The last 3 movies I saw was X-Men 2, Matrix Reloaded, and Bruce Almighty.

All three of them were very good. :)

I watched it only because it had Myrna Loy in it.. shes fabulous! I need that dvd lol thanks for telling me its on dvd or else I wouldnt have known! I liked After the Thin Man too!! Have you seen The Awful Truth? The dog Astro looks alot like Mr. Smith from The Awful Truth.

Yes, I have seen The Awful Truth (really enjoyed it) and that is also now on dvd.

The dog that played Asta also played Mr. Smith.

yeah they were fantastic! :D. I had to keep my laugh down because im at work, but shoot, in some parts I couldnt help it LOL One of the ladies came in and was like whats so funny? I was like Myrna and she just kind of went "oh" and walked out LOL. Oops!
