train your dogs, play with em,pick up thier poop when ya take em for a walk, enter them in competitions, dress em up, find things, unlock breeds etc.etc.etc..... What's really cool is that it actually uses the mic in your DS and lets you talk to them. Right now I have a Chihuahua named Toshi who wears a flower on her ear and a Sheltie named Bozo who wears a pirate hat

He's one of the villagers (an owl) in Animal Crossing: Wild World on the Nintendo DS. He will be found in everybody's villages because he runs the museum. You can catch fishes and insects, dig up fossils and find paintings and donate them to the museum. When I gave my koi fish to Blathers, he said something like "WOW! This fish will surely increase the museum's attendance! Thank you!"

PZelda 01-05-2006, 10:44 PM  I did a bit of time traveling (not by much, just to noon on Jan. 6th) and Gracie was in my town. I went up to talk to her, and she quizzed me on my fashion knowledge. She ended up calling me a redneck and giving me a moldy shirt. :( Then I pestered her some more and she ended up giving me a makeover. So now I have a new hairstyle and outfit...I had a pink 3-pigtail hairdo, and now my character is ENTIRELY BALD except for one spot where she has a ponytail. THAT DAMN GRACIE. :soapbox: But I can't stop laughing!

 Pierce is the one in my village that LOVES shirts and he wants an uncommon shirt... :cuss: And January 8th is his birthday, by the way. (that's how far I time travelled) So me and Cesar (gorilla) have been hanging out at Pierce's house
It was so funny...when Pierce still had a fridge in his house, I opened it and my character said, "What is Luigi's clothes doing in there?!" and I opened Pierce's closet and it said, "You've seen something you weren't intended to see... Well, it's been real nice knowing you!"

Nope, hehe. What happens is this - for me, this took place in front of the town hall, where I was standing by Egbert (orange rooster) and Cesar (orange/brown gorilla). I listened into their conversation, and Egbert wanted Cesar to breathe on him because Cesar reminded Egbert of his grandpa. The first time Cesar did so, Egbert said something along the lines of, "You smell a LOT like my grandpa! Can you breathe on me one more time, please?" and Cesar was giving him weird looks and protesting, then he gave in and breathed on Egbert one more time. Egbert said something like, "YOU SMELL EXACTLY LIKE MY GRANDPA! Do you eat livers?" and Cesar just said "Okay, dude..."
That was the most confusing thing ever, but I thought it was HILARIOUS  Egbert had flowers coming out of his head the first time, it was so cute and funny.
I made a Mr. Snowman, but he just says the same three phrases over and over again. :cuss: Something about wanting to make a flower bloom once before he dies...another about how it's cold and he's stuck to the spot...the third one I forgot.

PZelda 01-07-2006, 03:10 PM Robyn, I think I have it figured out now. In ACWW, if you make two REALLY REALLY GIGANTIC snowballs and roll them onto each other to make a snowman, he will commend you for doing a great job. When I did this, the snowman I made said he wished he had a snowlady next to him. Unfortunately at this time, there are no other snowballs lying around. The other snowmen I made have melted. :( I have been digging up Gyroids left and right today...I musta dug up 4 of 'em.
Funny bit... Cesar was going on and on (and on and on and on and on... :schmack:) about how he wants white furniture...I finally acquired a white pawn from the recycling bin. Cesar had two of 'em in his house and when I went to give him the white pawn, he said, "Gee, thanks...but take it back already! What's wrong with you?! I have enough duplicates as it is!"

PZelda 01-07-2006, 08:37 PM Speaking of DVD's, I had to order S3 of Hunter via DDD's website, because they didn't have any copies in-store. :cuss: I ordered the 2-5 day shipping with it. It shipped on the 5th, so I was hoping to have it today...Nope. BAH. I was looking forward to a Hunter marathon before I go back to school on Monday.

They must not have shipped Hunter S3 out to very many stores because I went to 3 different places before a found a copy of it. It's odd because when the first two seasons were released every store around here had them the day it came out and had several copies at that.

PZelda 01-08-2006, 01:37 AM I finished up watching an episode of Golden Girls from my season 3 DVD set... so I turned to TV Land and Night Court was on. It was a first-season episode, from early 1984. I only saw the last 10 minutes of it...at the end, Harry marries a young couple. I wasn't really paying attention to the episode until Selma said, "Oh come on, it's 1984!" and I was thinking to myself "Oh geez..." It makes me want to cry when somebody says that onscreen

I was watching Night Court when it first came on in '84. I remember watching the very first episode. I consider myself an original NC fan because there was a LOT of bandwagoners back then who jumped on board when Markie Post joined the show
PZelda 01-08-2006, 01:47 AM Me too. :(
I just checked my Yahoo TV guide to see what episode it was, and it was the 3rd episode ever, it aired on January 18, 1984. Geez.
It's funny how if you watch a TV show, sometimes somebody will say "Get on with the program, it's the 1970s!" or whatever. It makes me sad when they do say that. :( They did that a lot on MF, usually phrased as "It's the 1980s, Vint!"

I didn't start watching it regularly until 1987 because I would always watch S&S which aired oppisite it. I think the first episode I did see though was the 2nd episode that MJF guest starred on. It was a different kind of sitcom then though.

Man, I am so jealous. I grew up with NC myself so I can remember when it was on. My mom was a HUGE NC fan so I would watch it sometimes. I wish I had been around to see NC when it first debuted...Man, they had some really great stuff on that show.

I can't believe Buena Vista squeezed 8 episodes each on three discs of the Golden Girls S3 set. Sometimes I wonder if they're trying to copy Sony. With my Bewitched S2 set, they put NINE episodes EACH on four of the discs and had only two on the final disc. :schmack:

Yea because it brings back a lot of memories of where I was when all that took place.
Thats a lot of episodes on one disc.
One other DVD coming out is IDOJ season 1. They're going to have a comentary track on the pilot show and a new documentary. They're also releasing it in B&W and Color just like Bewitched. Thats another show I wouldn't mind having.

I agree, Sony gets a big kick out of squeezing all these episodes on one disc. Geez, one more disc isn't going to hurt THAT badly, Sony.
I heard about all of that. I am soooo psyched, I watched the reruns when I was growing up. I loved the opening sequence, I always wanted to be a genie like Jeannie. And when I got older, there was this lady that worked with me at school. Her first name was Jeanne (close enough) and she had originally watched IDOJ growing up, so sometimes she would do the arm and wink thing that Jeannie did. I loved that.
Thank god only the first season of IDOJ was in B&W. That way they won't have any obnoxious later-season boxes lying around that says, "THIS SEASON IN COLOR" on the side or whatever. I hate how they colorized the first two seasons of Bewitched and released them as a separate colorized set. Hey, Sony, don't mess with the classics. :cuss: Thank god the next one is in color :D
Man, February and March are going to rock really hard. February because Growing Pains is coming out and March because, well, it's just that awesome, and IDOJ will be one of them. :D

Regarding the last line, I mentioned that on the MF board but I actually heard about that somewhere. Looks like it wasn't true after all.

The UPN station here airs Mama weekdays from 5-6pm. I don't think they've ever skipped "Gert Rides Again" in all the years they've been airing reruns of Mama. Next time I see it on, I'll most definately tape it for you. I have that ep on tape three different times - once from my ABC station 15 years ago, once from when TBS first aired it in '97, and once from UPN a couple years ago.

5-6pm?! Sh*t, my ass would be firmly planted in front of my TV on the weekdays if I had UPN and it was on at that time of the day. *turns green with envy* I'm curious... Are the episodes captioned? The copy I have of GRA came from a TBS broadcast in 1998/1999 and for some reason, it's not captioned. :( Thanks, you rock. :D

That is so cool. :D I never even saw the 1st season of IDOJ until N@N aired it. For some reason it wasn't rerunned in the 70's probably because it was in B&W. I agree. The classics should air the way they were made.
I'll probably be slow in getting some of these shows but I sure want some of them....also I'd like to get Police Woman. I haven't seen that show since the 1970's.

Know any good stores?
Hmm, I just consulted my list. There are 5 DVD's I want for the month of March and 3 of them are on 3/14. IDOJ S1, MacGyver S5 and Murder, She Wrote S3. I could probably be able to pick up IDOJ and MacGyver. I just need to know where to go to get them

If you're in Manhattan, the Virgin Mega Store carries every TV-DVD known to man. It's right around Times Square. There's also a Tower Records right around there that has a good selection of TV-DVDs. Those places are not as cheap as Circuit City, Target, etc. but they're cheaper than Suncoast and FYE.

Ditto, he's my fave too, + Harry, Richard and Markie are definitely right up there too :D
I meant to get NC when it first came out last year, but I didn't. Oops. :o It's definitely on the horizon though. 13 episodes and two discs. Hm, $23.58 on DDD...I am going to wait until they announce some kind of sale on Warner Bros. DVD's before I pick up NC.
I think it's rotten what WB did to NC. :( I mean, sure, I'm happy they are finally doing something about MF, and I hope they don't screw THAT one up. It all comes down to the almighty buck...but what would they say to the almighty fire to their official headquarters? ;) (I TOTALLY stole that line from the TV-DVD board... )
PZelda 01-08-2006, 03:51 AM I think I'm going to call it a night. :bye:

Yea that is great news about Mama's Family. I think some of these studios don't know what they're doing though. I heard WB is releasing yet another set of Friends DVDs. How many can one person own. Nightcourt never got the respect it deserved. Thats a great saying. Its probably one of the kindest things said about them.
