These people. ohno: IF they want to do it right, they can hire the original cast for the movie. I mean, everybody's still alive. I know the youngest cast member was 24 when she joined the original cast in 1984, so why not? (Colin Farrell is a LOUSY choice for Crockett. BLEH!)

I plan to see the Strangers With Candy movie when it comes out this summer (I think). They hired everybody from the original TV cast to be in the movie, so this movie is going to kick some hard ass. :D

I just refuse to talk to him at all costs. It's been pretty effective thus far. I am a bitch when I need to be, and it works for me. I FINALLY broke down and bought the first season DVD of Police Woman; and I spent 42 bucks (because Frys was the only store in town that carried that particular DVD); everywhere else, I found NADA...
Congratulations Tara. Thats what my Lost DVD came to but if I bought in the mall it would have been $60.

Mr. Television
04-29-2006, 11:41 PM
I prayed and prayed that there would a release of a Police Woman DVD; so, buying over 40 bucks was well worth it. I was going to also buy the 6th season of Three's Company (In honor of Richard Kline's birthday) but (unforunately) I did not have enough cash; so I bought an old VHS tape of A Hard's Day Night (the Beatles movie) and a James Bond film that was on sale for only 2.99:lol:
I'll have to wait to get mine. Their are so many other shows I want and all the dramas are really expensive. I'd like to get Charlie's Angelas, Starsky and Hutch and Hunter too but I don't know when I'll start.

VHS tapes are real cheap anymore. If you pay over $3.00 anymore, you're getting ripped off.

Oh I know..and I am glad that VHS tapes are DIRT cheap. I found a lot of (Out of Print) concerts/VHS tapes of some of my favorite bands; but speaking of DVDs, thank God, this year has not been as bad as last year, I swear, I was having a mild nervous breakdown of all the amazing releases that were taking place.
I remember when you were on a DVD buying frenzy. I wished I would have started collecting tv shows earlier. I think I was put off by DVDS for awhile because my other player kept ruining my DVDS everytime I played them.

That really is one of my favorite seasons of the show. I'm glad their's only 2 more seasons left and we're done.

Mr. Television
04-30-2006, 11:43 PM
YAY!!!; and I am so glad that the DVDs of TC sell; unlike shows like Starsky & Hutch (I am still waiting for the 4th and "final" season to be released) and Barney Miller...HA! (that was a joke); and another thing, where in the hell is the 6th season of Good Times??????????
I have to believe that Starsky And Hutch and Good Times will be out eventually. It doesn't seem right that they'd release all the seasons and stop before the last one. I think Barney Miller is a lost cause though. That's why I don't usually start a collection until a few seasons have been released although I'm going to get the 1st season of The Incredible Hulk.

Mr. Television
05-01-2006, 12:00 AM
I hope so too; it would be silly not to finish the series of those two shows, and for Barney Miller!; their first season was 'orrible! and so was their second. I was just disappointed that I was unable to have a DVD of the show's 3rd (and best) season unedited and complete..Oh well!, maybe some day!
It did take a long time between releases for Charlie's Angels too so hopefully those two show will get released soon. I really would get Starsky And Hutch if season 4 was released. I was watching some of the first season last year on Comcast On-Demand. I should have taped them because they were un-edited but they didn't show any other seasons but the first. Barney Miller was a good show but it got better as the years went on. It's to bad their aren't many fans of that show. The BM message board always seems dead.

Mr. Television

I mean, how can you dislike someone like Yemama (he was hilarious); but on the other hand, I think I was bias because I was madly OBSESSED with Ron Glass (ewwwwwww)puke:

I admit it, I have a thing for male celebs with mullets from the 80's. You had Richard Dean Anderson, John Stamos and Don Johnson. There were probably more, but I can't think of them at the moment.

Cheesy shows can be entertaining. I remember watching that first episode when Joey and Jesse were changing Michelle's diaper. yuck. They should do something for their 20th Reunion even ifs its just sitting around talking about it. That episode has always stuck out in my memory -- I'm 99% sure it's because of the aqua shirt Jesse wore in that episode. I don't remember what happened in the rest of the pilot episode, but I sure remember THAT part.

Yeah, a retrospective. That would be pretty cool. :D None of that E! True Hollywood Story garbage -- it would be neat if they all got together to reminisce.

I really hated the later years, especially after the Katsopolis twins were born. :soapbox:

Yea I hope its something like the cast of Dallas and Happy Days did where they all sat around and shared stories and memories. I haven't watched one of the E True Hollywood stories in ages.

I don't blame you, either. That diaper was pretty bad.

I was just going to say that! Tony Danza did the same thing on his show with the WTB reunion last fall. :D I haven't watched a THS in forever, either.

Yeah, that was one of the other reasons I hated the later years. Plus, there were WAY TOO MANY characters, and it made the opening credits even longer. John Stamos, Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron, Jodie Sweetin, Ashley & Mary-Kate Olsen, Lori Loughlin, Blake & Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit, Andrea Barber AND Scott Weinger. YUCK!

Personally, I loved Lori's hairstyle in the 2nd/3rd seasons of FH. She had blonde highlights and wavy hair...that was my fave. :D

To: PZelda
PZelda,
Thought I would drop a line to say that I adored Vicki Lawrence ever since I was a little girl (I am now 38 years old), and I was so appalled as to her vulgarity and nastiness. I was so heart broke, because I truly thought i would be seeing a clean show from her. I never thought I would be watching a woman I had adored for so many years to have such a dirty mouth, and dirty jokes. I know you are only a fan, but I wanted to let someone know how disappointed I was. I don't go to to many things due to it being so bad these days, but I was so happy to hear that the woman I grew to love was just as nasty as all the others! I pray for her now, that she hears enough of these, that she hopefully changes her Stand-up style. Thank you for listening to me. Sincerly, Becca

I got to the main building on my school's campus at about 6:45 (I have an editor's meeting right now  ), went into the science building -- connected to the main building -- and was back into the main building by 6:55. I got onto the elevator to go up to the 3rd floor. When I came out of the elevator, the fire alarms were going off. I got back into the elevator, went back to the first floor, and got the hell out of the building. We were outside for about 15 minutes, and the fire department and police both responded to the call. Okaaaaaaaaaaay....why would there be fire alarms when the buildings are practically empty?

I confess that I have a problem. Remember how I mentioned buying 13 TV-DVDs in one month? I've barely cracked them... Last time I did this, I showed you which ones I had finished, which ones were in progress, which ones I hadn't watched yet. Well...here is an updated list.

Bold = in progress
Strikeout = finished
nothing = haven't started

Bewitched Season 3
Bob Newhart Show Season 3
Full House Season 3
The Golden Girls Season 4
Hart to Hart Season 1
I Dream of Jeannie Season 1
MacGyver Season 5
Miami Vice Season 2
Seinfeld Season 5
Three's Company Season 5
Three's Company Season 6
Wonder Woman Season 1
Wonder Woman Season 2

And I just spent a 1/2 hour rearranging my DVDs. My DVDs take up one entire DVD tower, AND 3 out of 5 shelves in my media center. Uh-oh.

I've only seen a few episodes of MV. I do remember watching the 2 hour finale. It was opposite Dallas for most of its run so that's probably why I didn't watch it much.

Aww, that's sad that it disappeared. :(

Yeah, IDOJ S2 is due out sometime in July. I forgot the exact date, but it's definitely confirmed for July.

I didn't buy 13 at once...(Yikes, that's a lot of money at once!) but rather, over a month and a half. I brought IDOJ S1, MacGyver S5, Three's Company S5 and S6 the same day in March, which was the day after I came home from New York City. The rest, I brought later on. I know I brought MV S2 and Seinfeld S5 the same day...Later on, it was WW S1 and S2. I brought Hart to Hart while I was in NYC, and that's it, off the top of my head.

I've been to the Twin Cities a gazillion times, so it's nothing new, to me anyway. The residental neighborhoods there are pretty bad...you're better off living in the suburbs. Their downtown is pretty decent.

Me...I wouldn't mind living a commute ride away from NYC on the east coast. :D

You haven't seen my room. I have stuff piled up on the floor by the side of my bed. I consider my room clean if I can pile up the stacks neatly. I have NO storage space at all in my room.

Sigh, I completely agree! Life is way too short, we all have (especially me, said stupid things in the past) time does heal all wounds. Life should be remembered for the times you laughed and were happy, not when you were sad, mad or in tears..so smile, damn it..and like Mike, I wish everyone here all the happiness in the world (and I mean that from the bottom of my heart):)

This is what I think. Life is too short to get caught up in grudges and resentment. Just move on and forget the bad things that have happened, is how I feel. I admit, I said some really stupid things in the past, too, which I regret, but I think there comes a point where you just have to forgive and forget, it's not healthy to resent and hold grudges.

I'm fit to be tied! I was patrolling a bad part of a bad neighborhood when I came upon a parked van and when I shined my flashlight in it, there was a young girl (13 years old) giving oral sex to a 52-year old man. I called for back-up and we took them both in. I got a hold of the girl's mother (who I've arrested for soliciting a while back!) and she came down to the station to take her home while I booked the guy and send him off to the regional jail. Simple solution. BUT, a circuit judge got involved and made us release the guy and is making us hold the 13-year old and maybe send her to a juvenile detention center! The sexual conduct was consensual on both ends but I believe if we're going to hold the girl, then we should definately be holding chester the molester, not letting him off scot free.

Thanks  God, it took me from June to November to get 10,000 post. I remember at the beginning of July 2005, I had like 400 posts.

If he did, I'm going to have to kick his ass. ;)

It would be super-cool if Angie got asked to come around here for a festival or whatever.

WHOA, I just found a Playmate that was born here. Holy ****

I got the back door open so if I disappear it means I got blown away.

It will be like that scene in Twister. A bunch of people will be in their car and instead of a cow flying pass, you'll come flying pass...still typing at the computer.

She was also in a John Wayne movie...Rio Bravo back in 1959. That's one of my favorites and she was so young then. :faint:

Yup :D  She was born in Kulm, ND, which is 50 miles south of Jamestown, ND. Jamestown is located near Valley City and both are pretty ****ty towns, but oh well. I'm sure Kulm is a nice town.
