I tried to watch Alice last night at 1am (don't remember which ep. Something about working at a diner and stuff happened) but got bored about 5 minutes in and switched over to Card Sharks. Antenna and Buzzr are right next to each other on my cable system.

It's actually 58 degrees right now where I am! ;) Temperatures vary so much depending exactly where you are here ! Having a car is costly too, paying for gas, plus expenses for maintenance, repairs and upkeep, and you need to have insurance too, that's another expense. So I save those expenses by not having a car and not driving.

My neighbor who lives next door to me drives me to the store once a week so I can get my groceries. Aside from that I spend my time hanging out at home.

LOL, OK funny man, for your information my neighbors car expenses have nothing to do with him being a good neighbor and driving me to the store once a week. I offered to give him some money for gas but he said don't worry about it. I've done favors for him too, that's what good neighbors do, they help each other out. :wave:

If you can, learn how to drive manual, that's how I first learned, how my sisters did, and how I taught my daughter. Learning to drive manual early on, I think helps build confidence in driving, also, even if you may never own a manual shift vehicle, it can come in handy knowing in the future.

Either way, good luck, we're the same out here, no close bus routes. More convenient being able to hop in a car anytime. My daughter loves being able to drive to her school instead of having someone drive her all that way, or rely on bus or train for coming home to visit. Also she can drive between work and college.

I am actually on a bus right now! ;) We have only one car, and we share who gets it. . If neither of the ladies I care for have to be taken to any appointments and stuff he takes the car , and I take the bus.If they do than the Hub takes the bus to work,

And I do lots of errands, shopping and stuff on public transportation. I don't mind at all.And I walk to alot of places too that are close enough on my days off!!:) I was raised on public transpertationback in Philly . My Mom didn't drive so I was on PT since I was a baby!!:)

And I'm afraid to drive in the rain :( and driving really long distances and on the freeway make me a little nervous! ! :eek:

I am actually on a bus right now! ;) We have only one car, and we share who gets it. . If neither of the ladies I care for have to be taken to any appointments and stuff he takes the car , and I take the bus.If they do than the Hub takes the bus to work,

And I do lots of errands, shopping and stuff on public transportation. I don't mind at all.And I walk to alot of places too that are close enough on my days off!!:) I was raised on public transpertationback in Philly . My Mom didn't drive so I was on PT since I was a baby!!:)

I did quite a bit of walking when I lived in Chicago. I miss going for walks in my old neighborhood there. These days I don't do a lot of walking, except for the few times a day I take my dog for a walk in the back yard. I also do some walking once a week when I go grocery shopping, I walk around the store and put items in my shopping cart. :lol:

I was hoping I just have an allergy to the furnace dust, but I think I'm coming down with a lousy cold. I have all the symptoms, scratchy/tickly throat with coughing spells, runny nose, and I feel like I have a bit of a temperature also. I just hope I don't have the flu. I've had colds before, if that's what it is I just have to let it run it's course. It sucks to be sick, especially now since I'm living alone, I don't like to be alone when I'm not feeling well. I probably caught it from this damn cold weather, I try to dress warm when outside but it's just been so damn cold. I could have caught it from my neighbor too, he drove me to the store on Tuesday and I noticed he had the sniffles and was blowing his nose in a handkerchief. So maybe I caught his germs when breathing the air while riding in his car. :(

Interesting question. I was a Cubs fan up through the 1976 season. Then during the '76 offseason, the Cubs traded my two favorite players, Rick Monday to the Dodgers and Bill Madlock to the Giants. I wasn't happy about this so I decided not to follow the Cubs anymore. Then when the '77 season started, I began getting interested in the A's. In 1977, the A's no longer had a roster of star players. Charlie Finley had filled the roster with rookies and castoffs from other teams. The 1977 A's had some interesting players like Mitchell Page and Tony Armas, who would become a pretty good slugger with the bat in the 1980's.

One of my favorite A's teams was the 1978 team. Again a roster filled with rookies and castoffs, but they got off to a 19-5 start and were the talk of baseball. They managed to stay within striking distance of first place through about the first week of August before collapsing down the stretch and losing about 40 of their last 50 games, finishing with only 69 wins. The A's had a tough schedule to end the season that year, playing against the top teams in the league for much of August and September.

Bobby Winkles started the 1978 season as the A's manager, but Charlie Finley kept calling him on the phone and telling him how to manage the team. After awhile Winkles had enough of this, and resigned as manager about 40 games into the season. Then Jack McKeon took over as manager. I often didn't like how McKeon managed the team. The A's that year had a center fielder who was a speedster on the bases, Miguel Dilone. He was the ideal lead off man but for whatever reason McKeon usually had Dilone bat 8th. Mike Edwards usually hit in the lead off spot, he was the A's 2nd baseman that year. I think Dilone should have batted lead off, with Edwards batting 2nd.

The A's main strength in 1978 was their pitching, starters and relievers overall had a good season.

Harry Carey, who announced the White Sox games in 1978, said something funny about Charlie Finley. It was late July and the A's were in Chicago for a two game series vs. the White Sox. One of my favorite A's teams was the 1978 team. Again a roster filled with rookies and castoffs, but they got off to a 19-5 start and were the talk of baseball. They managed to stay within striking distance of first place through about the first week of August before collapsing down the stretch and losing about 40 of their last 50 games, finishing with only 69 wins. The A's had a tough schedule to end the season that year, playing against the top teams in the league for much of August and September.

Bobby Winkles started the 1978 season as the A's manager, but Charlie Finley kept calling him on the phone and telling him how to manage the team. After awhile Winkles had enough of this, and resigned as manager about 40 games into the season. Then Jack McKeon took over as manager. I often didn't like how McKeon managed the team. The A's that year had a center fielder who was a speedster on the bases, Miguel Dilone. He was the ideal lead off man but for whatever reason McKeon usually had Dilone bat 8th. Mike Edwards usually hit in the lead off spot, he was the A's 2nd baseman that year. I think Dilone should have batted lead off, with Edwards batting 2nd.

The A's main strength in 1978 was their pitching, starters and relievers overall had a good season.

Harry Carey, who announced the White Sox games in 1978, said something funny about Charlie Finley. It was late July and the A's were in Chicago for a two game series vs. the White Sox. The A's were playing very well at the time and were in the process of sweeping the two game series, and Harry Carey said this about Charlie Finley towards the end of the 2nd game. "I don't know how Charlie does it. He has no scouts, no sales force, no one goes to the games to watch the team play, but he still puts together a good ball club!" :lol:

At the end of The Runaways part 4 today, which usually ends in syndication with Julie and Barbara off to argue in the bedroom and Ann sitting down with a smile, there was a whole other scene afterwards!

Watched it today!! :wave: WOW, yes that was a big scene that was cut out ! :eek: Also remember we were all posting about when Julie called and Ann was asleep and Barbara didn't want her to hear /to wake her up and SUDDENLY there were double doors that closed in the hallway that we never saw before!!! ?? Remember how we were discussing this when we first saw it on Antenna ? ! ;)

Besides Part 4 of the Runaways, I watched "Shakedown" First ep of Season 9, the one where Sam brings those cute dogs home. And Max debuted his clean shaven face, looking OH SO HOT!!:eyes: Barbara debuting her cute shorter hair style! :) And rewatched The Dentist and Pride and Privacy part 2 ( I LOVE that ep. brown pajama debut)!!! :D :love:

I guess I'm slowly getting better, I have a head cold with sinus congestion and it will take awhile until all the symptoms go away. When I have a cold, the symptoms usually linger for 3 or 4 weeks. :(

Too early to predict who will play in the Super Bowl, I'll get back to you on that after the conference title games are set. :wave:

I had a dream about John last night and it was based on the book called The Sky Is Everywhere.

One of my friends died and I was overcome by emotion. Then I was torn between Harry Anderson and John Larroquette.

In it, Harry was in teenager form as the new magic magician boy in town and John was still the same. One of the boys couldn't see me without seeing my friend and the other only sees me only for myself.

But what happened was that John needed help. He needed to rediscover his love for music. So he decided to take a break from acting for a long time and find his place where he belongs. Jazz music.

I could go further, but do not want to reveal spoilers.

I had a dream about John last night and it was based on the book called The Sky Is Everywhere.
