Svenfan1234 01-30-2018, 12:20 PM Well I told him the situation and he thought that it was
strange that it was only website I couldn't get? But he kind of poked around and said my computer needed some files deleted, Too much space was being used up and it was rejecting updates or something like that ? I just have a cheep little laptop.:p I got that in a pinch last January, and have really been thinking of upgrading. ;)
And also that the McAfee anti virus that I had expired and I had tried to renew it but it didn't download right, so he's gonna do a complete tuneup, delete junk and install the McAfee correctly!
Now, I'm kinda worried that maybe after all that what if I still can't access SO? What if it's a baffling, unknown mystery why it's happening? :(
I hope everything turns out well for you and your computer.
Bonniegirl 01-30-2018, 01:45 PM I hope everythin

She walked away with $20,000 for her charity, which I already forget what it was. (But I'm sure it was a good cause  )
I bought the Sports Illustrated Winter Olympic preview issue today, and Tommy was on the cover! (Ignore the prediction at the top though)

Babalu 01-31-2018, 08:13 PM Well I just got my computer back and I STILL can't access SO !! Just like before, I can get every website but SO !! :( WTF!!
Did you ask whomever fixed it to try to get onto the site while they were working on it?
Did you ask whomever fixed it to try to get onto the site while they were working on it?
He beat me to it, but that would have been my question too. Was it tested before you left the shop/house (wherever they work out of).
Bonniegirl 01-31-2018, 09:10 PM No, I really just trusted that it would be fine because I have had this person or his associates work on all my computer issues sinse I have had a home computer. And everything always went fine.;) This issue did have him scratching his head the other day, and TJ the moderator here has no idea why I can't get SO being that the issue has been corrected and others are accessing this fine. So as a last resort thinking it might be internet issues I just called AT&T and guess what? He said my internet connection was fine and he has NO idea why this is happening?
It's pretty much baffled everyone and seems nothing can be done,:( so thank God I have my cell!:) Just I have to pay 30 dollars more a month to get a lot of Internet connection. And I can't post pictures. But it is what it is !

Last suggestion.
All you guys who are having the same problem have to keep in touch with TJ, reminding/explaining the problem. If he sees it's more then just one person with the same problem, hopefully he can help on his end.
And it probably wouldn't hurt to keep this thread bumped up every couple of days

Michael is so unattractive and a totally horrible addition to the worst show that ever aired!
Glenn is such an ugly straight man!
Valerie is a horribly ugly hag that no one cares about!
And now the green slime dumps for saying "I know"...:)
Oh wait I'm doing opposites day...dammit! I mean, gosh darn it..

Easy. I just rotate the picture in the iPad's photo file and then post it the same way as always.
I won't flip Max totally upside down because then the towel would come down and I know you wouldn't want to see that

They must be burning it off on LOGO.
Svenfan1234 02-01-2018, 08:44 PM P.S., I'd rather not watch a 17 minute and 30 second version of "Julie's Job" thank you very much. I'd rather watch my full, uncut, remastered and looks better than Logo's version--my DVD.:)

Bonniegirl 02-02-2018, 04:09 AM Well, I guess I made a complete fool of myself on that other thread! But that came from my heart, what I was really feeling! Maybe I'm being a bit too paranoid, hoping somebody else with this issue responds, to see if anyone ekse kinda feels like that too? Maybe I will delete the post before I go to bed?
But anyway, on a more positive note. Besides watching ODAAT Max eps.today, I watched Michael on Dan August and as Arnold on Gidget ! :) I noticed he seems to resemble his Mom when he was younger as well as his Dad!:)

1960'sTVfan 02-02-2018, 02:17 PM I watched the season 2 episode "The Butterfields" on the DVD, Ann was looking fairly sexy and wearing a blue dress, even showing off a little cleavage. :) Her boobs are small but that's alright because she had a petite figure anyway, she looked her cutest during those early seasons.
A comment about Ginny, too bad she was on the show for only that one season, season 2. She didn't really add a lot to the show but she was a good friend for Schneider.

There are a few early season episodes where her nipples are on display :D. It probably happens in the later seasons too but I pay much closer attention to her in the early seasons . I love that longer hairstyle, and she looks good as a redhead, it's the perfect color for her :).

I like the brunette hair too! ;) She really didn't seem to age much! In these pics would have been from the early 60's , and as Ann Romano when you liked her was 75-77 ish ! And she doesn't look too much older really! I guess the red hair made her look more youthful. If she stayed a brunette maybe she would have looked older! ;)
In the Gidget picture, note the upright bosom! Bras were a MUST back than and they were really confining and supportive! Than gave way to the free late 60's -early to mid 70's a la natural breasts, sometimes even bra less (Till my Mom would yell at me as a young teenager "You put a bra on before you go out"! ) :D

Yes, in the Gidget picture she must have a bra on under the blue top she's wearing. I agree things changed during the late 60's to mid 70's, the women's lib movement was going on and some women went with the natural look and "let 'em hang", like Ann Romano does in some ODAAT episodes. :D

LOL, in the first picture her one boob is half exposed, she should have just taken the picture topless and let them hang out. :eyes:
And I like the second picture too, the TV guide cover, she looks sexy in the jeans and red top. She has the hairstyle that I like and she's flashing that cute smile :eyes:. Back when she looked like this, I wanted to get down to business with her ;), absolutely, yes sir indeedy. :D
I love Rachel, but she is not accessible, she lives too far away from me in Oregon and I'm not traveling out there to try and snatch her away from her boyfriend.
1960'sTVfan 02-03-2018, 02:47 PM Ants! tonight (1977) on Svengoolie!
I don't know if I want to watch this movie. If I do, after awhile I'll probably start itching and think I have ants crawling on me :(.

I'm gonna watch it. I think it will be enjoyable being the era it's from! ;) The 70's had those great campy horror movies! :) :D
But yeah . I know what you mean about feeling like ants would be crawling on you! Like when I watch real life medical shows on TLC or a channel like that. Those ones that have people on who survived rare, weird unexplained illnesses !! I start to imagine that I am experiencing the symptoms of the illness too!!!!
Here it looks like Barbara is imagining ants crawling on her and that they are all over the floor!!!!

Yeah, I knew it was one of your favorites! ;) I have quite a few of Michael that I would say are my favorites! I will have to give it some thought as to which one is my absolute favorite! Maybe you could post one or some of him that you think probably are favorites? ;)

Suzanne Somers is OK, but she doesn't really appeal that much to me. When I watch those early seasons of Three's Company, Joyce DeWitt appeals to me more than Suzanne Somers does.

LOL, yep I would probably enjoy that, but if given a choice between a braless Suzanne Somers or braless Joyce DeWitt, I'll take Joyce :D :eyes: .

Those ants on her back don't know what they're missing. ;)
1960'sTVfan 02-04-2018, 11:25 AM Well I watched the Ants movie, it was alright, it was sort of like the Alfred Hitchcock movie The Birds, except this time it was ants that were running amok and attacking people.
Watching this movie reminded me of two other 1970's made for TV movies.
One of them is "Trapped", starring James Brolin. He accidentally gets locked inside a department store overnight, and the store is protected by vicious guard dogs, so he spends the night fleeing through the store while trying to avoid the dogs who are wanting to attack him. Pretty suspenseful stuff. The only time I've seen this movie was back in the 70's when it originally aired, I think it was 1973. I would like to see it again.
The other movie is "Dying Room Only", starring Cloris Leachman, Dabney Coleman, and Ross Martin. Leachman and Coleman play a married couple, they stop at a roadside diner where Coleman mysteriously vanishes, no one seems interested to help so it's up to poor Cloris to find out what happened to her hubby. This movie is suspenseful too, keeping you on the edge of your seat till the very end. It's available on DVD, I haven't bought it yet but I should order it.
And there are two teenage/juvenile delinquent movies that I've always liked.
One is "13 West Street", starring Alan Ladd. He gets attacked and beaten up by a group of teenage thugs. While he recovers from the beating he starts to believe that the police aren't doing enough to find and arrest the punks, so he sets out on his own to try and track them down. Pretty good movie, this one is out on DVD too.
The other is "Hot Rods To Hell", starring Dana Andrews and Jeanne Crain. They play a married couple, driving with their son and daughter through the hot southwestern desert, where they encounter wild teenagers driving souped up cars, and the teenagers start to terrorize them. This movie has it all, it's campy, has some bad acting, some over acting, some of it is laughable, but it's also suspenseful and a lot of fun to watch. I like the scene at the gas station where one of the teenagers threatens Dana Andrews. "What's the matter mister, are you trying to make a federal case out of a beer can? You came a long way to look for trouble, you should have brought some help with you!" This movie is available on DVD too.
Svenfan1234 02-04-2018, 11:55 AM My thoughts on Ants:
It was alright. However , what people need to keep in mind while watching Sven is that he's mainly for showing mockable B movies (save for Frankenstein, Dracula, Invisible Man and Creature from the Black Lagoon, naturally). That being said, what was this movie?! Some foreman named Mike goes psycho and wants to prove the health board guy wrong about the virus, so he bulldozes killer ants to prove his point? That'll teach him, nearly killing everyone! Also, what in the world was that ladder scene? Did they not WANT to save her, and that's why they kept raising the ladder? Also, the puffing wallpaper part was literally one of the stupidest things I've seen in any movie lol. I give it a 5.25 out of 10.

I agree some of the movie was dumb, including the wallpaper gimmick. With that ladder scene, I was questioning why they didn't get the ladder closer to the window . It only got close enough so the rescue guy could barely reach the girl, so when he pulled her out from the window of course she's going to be dangling there, barely hanging on, so I guess they raised the ladder upright so she could get a better hold and then climb down the ladder before she would lose grip and fall to the ground.
When the show began and Sven was introducing the movie, he mentioned that the movie has been edited for time and content. After I heard that I said, well if they wouldn't have so many damn commercials and if Sven would cut back on some of his comedy stuff, they could show more of the movie!

Well, Sven's shtick is part of the whole show, of course, and he and his editing crew always do a great job making subtle cuts to movies. Poor Moosie Drier and Suzanne Somers barely made it an hour without being killed off!
There are movies that Sven has cut back his shtick on, and last night he seemed to have less than usual. But I totally get what you say about the commercials. But,new Sven shows, hey, I'm not complaining. Next week is another 1977 TV movie -- Tarantulas: The Deadly Cargo! Should be interesting. Just sayin', I liked Gargoyles better than Ants! I'd love to see Sven air some classic Hitchcock in an extended show, but that probably ain't happening.
Bonniegirl 02-04-2018, 01:40 PM Yeah, Sven's shtick is the best part of these movies IMO! I ;) love that corn ball type humor! That was great when Sven did a tribute to SS after she was killed. That parody in the tune of the Threes company theme song!
But I found this movie to be pretty good, it was entertaining, sure things were dumb about it but that adds to the coolness and fun of the movie. ;) It was a sign of the times! Very 70's, very nostalgic!:)

Moosie Drier, I've seen him as a kid actor in other 70's shows but didn't know his name until now.
So next weeks movie is Tarantulas, another insect attack movie. Sounds interesting, I'll tune in and check it out.

There's an opening scene cut from syndication (I'm pretty sure I'd remember it) with Barbara on the phone trying to talk to Elton John.

Yup!
Either the obvious in the early seasons, like the girls trying to go to a concert, or later on, after Ann became a bigwig in the advertising business. Remember when she tried to hook up Alex with Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Reggie Jackson?

How about when Max was a pilot if Elton John was on one of his flights?:) Say Max was working the first class section that day and Elton had a long layover in Indy, Max talking him into coming to the apt. to meet his Wife and Sister in law who are really big fans! :) ;) Would that be too far fetched? Would Elton be too big of a star, too famous to be on a commercial flight like that? Even in first class?

I also watched the One Day at a Time reunion on the last disc. Michael Lembeck is in it too, but no mention period of Boyd Gaines/Mark, Howard Hesseman/Sam, or Cliff Randall/Scott Colomby. Seems weird. If they'd been invited, but turned it down, you'd still think they'd still say something about their characters. Also the Mack/Glenn interview was good , very candid! I liked it. I suggest those two. Haven't seen the other.

Elton flying commercial might be a bit implausible but A) it's a sitcom, so whatever and B) you could always write around it. His chartered/private plane has mechanical difficulties, so in an emergency to get to the next concert he has to fly commercial. Or he's sick of being treated specially and wants to travel like everyone else. Plots like that
Ya'll want to see my new avatar all big-like and up close, right? Here... (please note that all the pictures , while not wintry, are all athletically themed)

I was looking through my photo file and found this dated September 10. I guess I should use it.
Basically, the game is which of the 3 photos doesn't belong, and why?

Svenfan1234 02-06-2018, 04:38 PM Good afternoon. Where are all you muddlers ?:confused l Nobody is in a muddling mood today?
I'm here:wave:
I was busy with online classes and such. How are you?
Bonniegirl 02-07-2018, 01:07 AM I also watched the One Day at a Time reunion on the last disc.
I watched the ODAAT reunion today!! ;) At first I was like OH NO!!! Michael's not in this!!!! WTF???? Just Bonnie, Valerie, Mack and Pat!! Than I calmed down and kept watching, and yes indeed, my baby, the Love of my life Michael was shown:love: (although, I would have loved it better if he was actually IN THIS , not just a film clip of his opinion ) !;) But anyway, it was brief, but like I always say: ANY Max/Michael is better than NO Max/Michael! He looked HOT !!!!, 2004, he was like 55 or 56, MY AGE!!! :)  He was saying how Max and Julie were SO MUCH alike , both cut from the same cloth or something like that? That they belonged together! ;) And when Michael Lembeck was first brought up, Valerie said "Michael Lembeck was great" !!! ;) Smart girl!!! :) ;) :D
Bonniegirl 02-07-2018, 02:50 AM Another beloved picture of him!!! :eyes:

Bonniegirl 02-07-2018, 01:20 PM :eyes:  Yes, in the words of Valerie Bertinelli "Michael Lembeck was great"!! She should have went on to describe the kiss that curled her toes!;) :happyface :D

Let's see if I remember my logic...
The first picture is a cooper (a job making things out of wood, like barrels).
The second picture is romano cheese.
The third picture is a hotel, specifically a Hyatt.
So the first two are ODAAT names, and the third is an Alice name.
So the third picture doesn't belong

Valerie should have elaborated and said " He was so sexy with the pink towel and I was so upset that he wasn't mine , that lucky Julie got him! I wanted to rip that pink towel off him ! And the adorable brown pajamas, and cute apron. I was ecstatic when I FINALLY got to do a kissing scene with him in Season 9 when he was REALLY HOT after he shaved his beard! At this point I was tired of Barbara being married to Boyd blah, and getting to kiss Michael was wonderful"! :) :happyface :D

Bonniegirl 02-08-2018, 01:06 AM I was looking for that picture of him wearing glasses in Room 222 but couldn't find it , but I came across Arnold & Gidget! :)
https://michaelstvtray.files.wordpress.com/2017/02/arnold-and-gidget.png?w=300&h=226
Remember this article that mentioned him?
A cute hotel waiter named Arnold serves Gidget her room-service burger and fries. He’s played by Michael Lembeck, who later played the husband of Mackenzie Phillips’s character on One Day at a Time. But here he’s all young and fresh-faced. Arnold tells Gidget he gets off duty at eight o’clock and would love to show her the town. Gidget puts him off about that, but she uses his interest in her to get him to tell her when the ambassador leaves his apartment.
Bonniegirl 02-08-2018, 01:12 AM https://michaelstvtray.files.wordpress.com/2017/02/arnold.png?w=216&h=186
Personally, I would have chosen Arnold the hotel waiter over Moondoggie or Alex
I agree with the writer of this article !!;)

Yeah, in a desperate attempt to try to get SO back I had deleted lots of files and lots of pictures. Lucky they are mostly on the Max, Barbara and beyond cute pics thread, so it isn't that bad a thing! ;) But the tech apparently moved things around and saved pictures aren't being saved where they were before. As I was looking for the Liberty Bell pic. I couldn't find it , and I came across Arnie Wakeman and put him up in the meantime. Tonight I poked around and figured out where other pictures were!!;)

Luckily I don't have the time or the access (I'm not near my iPad) to mock up a photo of Doug.
But I don't think he fathered kids anyways. According to AntennaTV I think he hooked up with Paul Reiser and they adopted a teenage girl.

Oh you never watched My two Dad's than? There was a strong pos. That Greg. could have been the teenage girl's bio Father! Or Paul!! The premise of the show was the Girl's Mom was dating both Paul and Greg ( Michael and Joey) at the same time. And she came up pregnant. After the lady died, the two pos. Dad's adopted the girl (Nicole) to co raise her, and neither wanted to find out which one was actually the bio. Father! :)

Thanks I'll enjoy it, I haven't seen it since it originally aired back in the 1970's. Some of it I remember but I don't remember how the movie ends. I like to watch suspense movies like this during nighttime when it's dark out because it adds to the atmosphere.

Oh yeah!! Watching scary or suspenseful things at night do add to the atmosphere ! ;) Tomorrow night we are going to watch Tarantulas on the Svengoolie movie , than at 10 IDTV crime channel has the show "A crime to remember"! This show is a documentary style show that reenacts really bad and high profile crimes from the past ! A brand new ep. Saturday night about the family that was murdered and the killers in Kansas in 1959, that the book and the movie "In cold blood" was written about ! I might have nightmares tomorrow night!!!
I think I will order Season 1 of I Love Lucy , and Season 2 of Hazel! At Wal mart there were pretty good deals ! Season 1 of Lucy and Season 2 of Hazel were the cheapest priced seasons! ;)

The 2nd season of Hazel is my favorite, I think that's the best season. Several good episodes. Ordering season 2 is a good choice :). I Love Lucy is a show that I've just not gotten into all that much, I might watch it once in a while on TV but I don't desire to have it on DVD. I prefer The Lucy Show and Here's Lucy over I Love Lucy.
1960'sTVfan 02-10-2018, 12:56 PM Talking about 1960's TV, I agree the 60's was the best decade for TV. So many good shows during that time, unlike today's shows that are mostly garbage.
I watched last night the movie Dying Room Only, very good suspense thriller, well done and well acted. Towards the end of the movie it's explained how Cloris Leachman's hubby disappeared, but at this point of the movie things start happening pretty quickly so you have to pay close attention. I won't reveal anything more except to say that the movie does have a happy ending.
I'm not a big fan of Cloris Leachman, but she has long hair in this movie which makes her look somewhat attractive, and she wears white slacks throughout the movie which shows off her butt rather nicely. :D
Dying Room Only was directed by Philip Leacock, the same guy who directed 13 West Street. Watching both movies I can see similarities in the style of direction.
Svenfan1234 02-10-2018, 01:04 PM Talking about 1960's TV, I agree the 60's was the best decade for TV.

I love many 60s shows...Bewitched, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Hazel, The Brady Bunch, Gilligan's Island, Get Smart, Dragnet, Adam-12, etc. I don't like Hogan's Heroes or McHale's Navy at all:p I enjoy The Joey Bishop Show thanks to Antenna running it again! Just not one of my favs. Also Doris Day and Family Affair I like!
Also, Svengoolie has shown some good 60s classics -- The Night Walker, Curse of the Werewolf, Kiss of the Vampire, and such being my favorites (Night Walker my all time favorite Sven flick.) Oh, and also Island of Terror with Peter Cushing is a good one! And the Godzilla/Toho flicks. Sven's getting more into the 70s now with movies like Duel, Gargoyles, Barracuda , Ants, Tarantulas: The Deadly Cargo, etc.

I'm generally not a fan of military sitcoms, so I don't like Hogans Heroes or McHale's Navy either. Gomer Pyle USMC is alright, some of those episodes are funny.
Joey Bishop Show I've become a big fan of since Antenna TV started running it. Not the greatest sitcom of all time, but it's a lot of fun. I'd like to see the complete series issued on DVD, but in case it doesn't happen I recorded the Antenna TV airings of the episodes.
Bonniegirl 02-10-2018, 03:46 PM The 2nd season of Hazel is my favorite, I think that's the best season. Several good episodes. Ordering season 2 is a good choice :). I Love Lucy is a show that I've just not gotten into all that much, I might watch it once in a while on TV but I don't desire to have it on DVD. I prefer The Lucy Show and Here's Lucy over I Love Lucy.
Oh cool! Season 2 of Hazel is the lowest priced season at Wal*Mart ! And Lucy I'm still trying to decide between Season 1 and 2? ;) I really love I Love Lucy ! It's a go to comfort show for me. Just hearing the theme music and seeing the heart come up in the opening cheers me up if I'm sad or in a bad mood! :) I love all the Lucy's ! I love Lucy is the best IMO, than The Lucy show, and Here's Lucy third best , but a big plus in that is cute Desi Jr. ;) :eyes: Did you think Kim/Lucie was cute? ;)
I have a small DVD (5 or 6 color eps.) of The Lucy show. I bought it at Big Lots or somewhere years ago! ;) It's really good! :)

Cloris Leachman has pretty hair. I always thought that when she played Phyllis on Mary Tyler Moore! ;) She was also in that made for TV scary movie from 1972." Haunts of the very rich "with my adorable young Michael Lembeck!! :eyes:  I will research "Dying room only" on IMdb ! Maybe i had seen it years ago!? ;)

I'd like to rewatch it too, but my free time TV schedule is pretty full for the next two weeks.
But don't worry about talking about it here. I'm pretty sure there are no major plot twists in that one
I'm seeing ODAAT scheduled for prime time on Logo this Thursday.
Obviously though, with their bi polar schedule maker, no guarantees it will actually be shown.

A brand new ep. Saturday night about the family that was murdered and the killers in Kansas in 1959, that the book and the movie "In cold blood" was written about ! I might have nightmares tomorrow night!!!
The 1967 In Cold Blood movie is on Turner Classic Movies tomorrow at 5:30pm ET
Bonniegirl 02-10-2018, 09:13 PM The 1967 In Cold Blood movie is on Turner Classic Movies tomorrow at 5:30pm ET
Oh wow cool !! I saw that movie not first run but probably around 1974 or so. I was about 12 ! Scary!! The home invasion /murder happened because the crooks through hearsay thought the Clutter family was rich and that they had a safe with lots of money in their home! I remember being scared to sleep after that for a while, being nervous that maybe somebody thought we were rich and had a lot of money in the house and that would happen to my family!!!  Around that time I also watched "The Boston Strangler' and than had a crush on Tony Curtis! :D
Than I remember when Baretta first came out , I was like Oh that's the guy that was in "In cold blood"!
I won't be able to watch this tomorrow though! I have to work and than I'm going to the movies after ! Hoping TCM shows it again! ;)

How about Lucy's daughter Chris in the early Lucy show eps.? She was cute, maybe too young though? :)
Hey I was wondering. I watched Hazel but because of what times it was on and such, I haven't gotten to watch a lot of it. But all the eps. I've seen I really love!!:) Shirley Booth is AWESOME!!!:) ;) A very funny, wholesome show! :):D So what I was wondering, later in the series I noticed there is a whole other family!! A younger couple , but their last name is Baxter too! And Hazel still being the maid of course ! So how did that come about? Are the two families related? Did they explain where the first family went?

The fraternal boy/girl twins in this! The girl is like a head taller than the boy and she looks much older.  Really bad casting. It's hilarious!!

From what I remember, the producers wanted a hipper, younger family, thus the original Mr. Baxter's younger brother was introduced. Harold stayed with the show, as his mother and father went overseas but wanted their son to continue his schooling in the States.:)

Tarantulas: the Deadly Cargo was OK, alright, nothing great. Sven's shtick, as always, made the show. I give it a 5.25 out of 10. Giving it a 6 out of 10 would be way too generous.
Next week Mysterious Island of Beautiful Women (1979).

In The Lucy Show, actress Candy Moore has the role of Lucy's daughter Chris. She's pretty, but can be a little annoying. She over-acts and tends to shout her lines.
Regarding Hazel, if I have the story right, the show switched networks in season 5 from NBC to CBS. CBS didn't renew the contracts of Don DeFore and Whitney Blake, Ray Fulmer and Lynn Borden were hired to replace them. I believe the thinking at the time was, CBS was targeting a younger demographic audience for this show by having Hazel work for a younger couple.
Yes there was a relation, Don DeFore played George Baxter, Ray Fulmer played Steve Baxter. If I recall correctly, Steve was said to be George's younger brother. In the 1st episode of season 5, I think it was explained that George accepted a new job overseas, so Hazel went to work for his brother Steve. But little Harold was still on the show, he stayed behind with Hazel while his folks went overseas.

The Blob is OK, when watching it as a child I thought it was scary. Now watching it as an adult, it's campy and silly, the scare factor is gone but still fun to watch. Great drive-in movie, along with Hot Rods To Hell.

Brief synopsis of the Trapped movie- James Brolin is shopping at a department store, later on he visits the mens room where he gets mugged and knocked out cold by two thugs. Later when he wakes up, he realizes it's after hours and the store is closed and locked for the night. Then to make it worse, he discovers that the store is protected by vicious attack dogs. That's when the terror begins. One of the dogs gives him a nasty bite on the leg, he starts to get weak from blood loss and nearly passes out a few times while trying to avoid further attack. But at the end of the movie, he is rescued and survives. This is a pretty gruesome movie. Watching it now, I'm surprised it was allowed to air on prime time network TV back in 1973.
In the link that opus posted, the movie runs 82 minutes, although the end credits are cut off. This is interesting because information I've seen shows that the movie runs 74 minutes. So I'm assuming that the 82 minute version is the uncut version. The movie does have a subplot that is fairly uninteresting and tends to drag things out a little.

I LOVE James Brolin!! He's a HOTTY!:eyes: Wow, back in 1973 he was still playing Dr. Kiley on Marcus Welby . Or the show just recently wrapped up maybe? But everyone still associated him as Dr. Kiley, so that would have been horrible seeing Dr. Kiley getting attacked like that!!! :( And jeez, that is one heck of a rough , ghetto department store, where you would get mugged in a rest room!!!  And JB was about 6'3' , young and strong. Do they explain why he just doesn't spend the night in the bathroom planning his lawsuit against the department store?
1960'sTVfan 02-11-2018, 03:10 PM Do they explain why he just doesn't spend the night in the bathroom planning his lawsuit against the department store?
LOL, yeah I was thinking the same thing. No one from security checked the restroom to see if anyone was in there before closing the store. Too bad Brolin wasn't carrying a gun, otherwise he could have just shot and killed the dogs and that would have been it. But that solution would have been too easy and then they wouldn't have had a movie. And the two thugs who mugged him in the restroom, I don't know if they got away with the crime or not but during the end of the movie there was no mention that they were found or arrested.
Watching this movie also made me think, when guard dogs are locked inside a store for hours during the overnight, what if some of them pee or poop on the floor during that time? Who's job is it to clean up the mess in the morning before the store opens?? Using guard dogs for security isn't a good idea, for several reasons.

IMDB says he played someone named Spud. They have him billed 19th on the cast list, so his part couldn't have been that big.
I'm sorry!! :( I was gonna respond!! I didn't recognize him in this movie! I was going to check IMDB for what character he played and see if I would remember him? It couldn't have been that big of a role? Anyway, I ended up going to sleep, and this morning I forgot! Again, please except my apology! ;)
No need to apologize. It wasn't a complaint, just an observation that I thought it was interesting there were three ODAAT alumni in that movie. But I didn't see it so for all I know Steve had a quick 10 second blink and you miss it role as tarantula chowder.
