Yeah that scene with the poor dog was a bit much. Why would the dog even run towards the bus? And why didn't the bees bother the other dog, who was in a confined space in the truck with the guy who died. He opened the door, and the dog just ran out. We never learned what happened to that pooch. I'm thinking he ran to another town and was adopted by a kind family.

And the female lead wasn't so smart. She sends a bunch of kids out to find the bees, then when they do find the bees, she piles them on the bus without much forethought, then drives the bus away despite the fact that the windshield is covered with bees. Also, come on, only one or two bees get through the vents?

Yeah, she kinda saved the day by honking the horn and getting the bees away from the crowd, but when the kids were saved and everyone was thanking her, I wanted just one person to say, "You idiot! If it weren't for you, those kids wouldn't have been in that mess in the first place!"

I did see Gimme a Break! I liked Andy Gibb! In one of the episodes last night, Run DMC was on 227! I wouldn't mind having Dylan for a History teacher, he might've been better than the one I had. He was a dorky goofball, but I liked him. The early seasons were good, but Dylan and Travis seemed like the classic sitcom "couple"! :lol:

Nell is such an amazing singer, though. I heard her sing on Touched by an Angel the other night when I was watching it on my DVDs of the show, and she is such an amazing singer. And she seems like she was a nice lady in real life!

He was still in his cute brown pajamas out of courtesy! Being he was pursuing his writing career , he didn't have to leave the apartment like the others had to for work, school and job interview! She displayed some sexy exercise moves too :D. This is season 8, so she has that unattractive short hairstyle :(, but her cute/sexy petite figure is in fine display :eyes: :lol:.

I'm listening to a vinyl LP this morning, the album is titled Danger Zone, by the band Player. Great album, I like all the songs except for the last one. This album is interesting because Player went in a harder rocking direction for this album. My favorite tune on the album is Silver Lining, to me in some ways it resembles Boston's Peace Of Mind.

I'm listening to a vinyl LP this morning, the album is titled Danger Zone, by the band Player. Great album, I like all the songs except for the last one. My mom has been sick lately with an infection but is improving bit by bit, knock wood. She is in the hospital and on antibiotics and fluids to help her get better. She is presently snoring as I type.;)

Life sucks and then your parents die. :(

Right now I have 2 different rehab places to choose from for her after she leaves the hospital.

I am probably going with the one with the larger room so it will be easier for me to sleep overnight as much as possible.

BTW, I know you hate daytime TV but the love of your life will be on The Talk in a few minutes.

Will she pay tribute to her TV grandmother? I sure hope so. She was lucky to have the privilege of working with her.

I watched an episode of Rhoda from my DVD last night:) I love Rhoda and miss seeing it on MeTV! So glad at least all the seasons are out now! MeTV is just so gungho on their westerns and MASH and Andy Griffith and Hogans Heroes. I miss it when they had stuff like Mary Tyler Moore, Dick Van Dyke, Bob Newhart, The Odd Couple and Rhoda on at night.

The Columbia's are my favorites. I have a nice collection of serials, I don't have every one that was made but I have many of them. Columbia made 57 serials, I have 48 of them.

Some of those Columbia serials are interesting. One of my favorites is Chick Carter Detective. It's not a popular serial because it doesn't have a lot of action, but it tells a good story. The plot centers around a jewel robbery that takes place in a night club. The serial has that classic 1940's night club atmosphere and occasionally a musical number is performed, something different for a serial.

There are other interesting Columbia's too, like The Phantom, The Desert Hawk, Jungle Raiders, Adventures Of Sir Galahad, many others.

The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T next week on Svengoolie! Dr. Seuss movie from 1953, sounds fun! :D And also new to his show. The show tonight was a mix of new segments and old ones (from the original 2010 airing on Chicago locally). Good movie, a little draggy at times, but overall a decent movie, I liked it better than all the killer insect TV movies (although with Sven's stuff, they were fun!)

I just looked up 5,000 Fingers Of Dr. T. on imdb, and I found out that Peter Lind Hayes and Mary Healy from the Peter Loves Mary TV sitcom are starring in this movie! :) I recorded the Peter Loves Mary episodes a year ago from GetTV. So maybe I will tune in next week and check out this movie.

A friend of mine recently lost his father after years of Alzheimer's, my friend (and his sisters) had to put their father in a special hospice for Alzheimer patients, then just a few months later he passed.

I stayed with her through the night and the good news here is that Dr. Cohen just told me that her infection has cleared up and that her vitals are good so we are packing her up to go to rehab and hoping that a stay there will improve her mobility and strength.

Thanks for asking, my mom has been slowly recuperating from her serious infection.

Presently she is at a skilled nursing facility and trying hard not to complain about the hospital food. I bring her extra stuff to try to get her weight up but her appetite is very low and she seems to only basically be able to consume foods like soup or ice cream which are easier for her to digest. But she is gamely trying to eat the dinner they just brought her on a tray. She loves mashed potatoes too.

She is able to do limited amounts of physical rehab and walking a little bit but it is an uphill battle at this point and every bit of progress feels like a tiny miracle from where she was last week.

I imagine so too. Sven tries very hard to make small edits to his movies, but with some movies like Batman 1966 which are extremely long, it is inevitable that some things get trimmed.

I have a bootleg set of the 1960's Batman TV series. I usually don't buy bootlegs, but this set is very good. It has 24 DVD's, 20 for all the episodes and 4 extra discs with bonus material. Episodes are uncut and many have the ABC network ID's at the start and end of the episodes. One of the bonus discs has the Batman movie, complete and uncut, 105 minutes.

And now I have 3,000 posts. How about that.

Parts of the tri state area got up to 18 inches (some people still don't have power), but my area only got a few inches and it's mostly gone already.
