I took this as a suggestion and watched it. It reminded me of The House of the Devil, but I enjoyed this much more.

The House of the Devil really aimed to be a throwback to the 80's in terms of recreating the era. It really succeeded with that, because it actually felt like it could have been a movie that was shot in the 80's. However, I felt like because they put so much into doing that, they forgot about the plot somewhere along the way. I found the plot to be really weak and at the end of the movie I kind of felt like it was a waste of time watching it.

This is a personal evaluation of an aesthetic spirit (look at another movie like "Death and Love in Long Island" or "Death in Venezia" of Visconti): according to me this is the must of the american comedy production of the '80 and '90. The importance of the movie is, without any doubts, the occult power of the character of Hyser....some one else can say me where is she at this moment?It's very sad to see how a great talent like Hyser disappeared so fast in about 14 years of cinema..........the enigma is eternal........
