The last motion picture I saw was the political thriller, ''The International'',which starred popular favorites, Clive Owen and Naomi Watts. This 2009 Colunbia Pic- tures release was loosely based upon the recent Pakis- tani Bank of Credit and Commerce International scandal. The two aforementioned stars are prominent characters investigating large-scale corruption within a gargantuan, international bank. I happen to like this movie enough to compare it to a lot of the popular conspiracy flicks of the past like,''The Con- versation'',''Three Days Of The Condor'',and ,most recently, ''Enemy Of The State''.However, the friend that I saw this motion picture with wasn't too quick to compliment it so. http://i50.tinypic.com/2m4q4d5.jpg JamesG 11-23-2009, 10:07 PM ^ Glad to hear that you liked it. I've been aware of some fandom conventions held in Sydney, but have not been interested enough to go to any of them... I only went/go to movie premieres that interest me in some way, that a star/stars I really admire is/are going to be at, and not just go to any premiere, because 'celebrities' are going to be there... 'Celebrity' means nothing to me, and 'celebrities' are people just like everyone else, except, maybe, with a better job lol... I (try to) get my favourite movie by an actor signed at premieres I go to... I got Vin Diesel to sign Pitch Black, because it's an absolute favourite movie of mine, and even though I'm a Vin Diesel fan, I wouldn't be motivated enough to go to a premiere to get a movie like xXx signed lol... It doesn't mean enough to me... I got Naomi Watts to sign Tank Girl, because it's my favourite movie of hers, and when I told her, "it's the best one", she laughed as though I was joking, but I wasn't :| lol... It's not the "best" technically (understatement lol), so that probably wasn't the right word to use, but it means more to me than any of her other movies, and that's what I meant... Anyway, like I said yesterday, it's rare for me to go to a premiere these days, for a number of reasons, mainly to do with a lack of interest/time, and even rarer for me to go to a convention lol... I'm not the type that hangs out at movie premieres or at studios (talk shows). I could do it if I really wanted to see someone as there are plenty of people in NYC all the time but I just don't do that. I mainly go to horror/sci-fi cons, fan dinners, and book/cd signings. I don't mind paying for the item and to get it signed since I get more of a chance to talk to the person one-on-one for a bit.
