The Orphan, was a fantastic horror movie. Great talent, all around, led by Peter Sarsgaard and Vera Farmiga. Isabelle Fuhrman, one heck of young actress.

I disagree with the Hollywood Reporter, Downfall is much better than the overrated Saving Private Ryan, not "on par". It was robbed of an Oscar win for Best Foreign Language Film, and Bruno Ganz an Oscar nom and win for best actor as Adolf Hitler.

Anyways, I just saw Avatar. Kind of disappointed. Same plot as "Ferngully" if anyone remembers that one. A good movie, not the best of the year by any means.

I don't know but my view on the film has changed now that I watched it at home. I think this film was to be enjoyed as a one-time cinema experience.

When I watched it alone without the loud, applauding crowd the movie appeared to be quite dull and less enjoyable.

I caught this fun old movie on TCM the other night. It stars Fred Astaire, Joan Fontaine, George Burns, and Gracie Allen. It's based on a book by P.G. Wodehouse so there is a lot of humor, some great Gracie Allen lines and some spectacular dancing by Fred. George and Gracie are pretty darn good hoofers themselves.

Another old 80s VHS tape I decided to watch recently, that I hadn't watched in ages, was Once Upon A Time Stephanie..., which was made to promote Princess Stephanie of Monaco's singing career, who I really liked during the 80s... At the time, Princess Stephanie was much more my type than Princess Diana was, who was also in the media a lot then... (although I really liked the fact Princess Diana's favourite band was Duran Duran :) ... but Princess Stephanie actually looked like a member of Duran Duran = *(censored)* ha!) ... I can't find the cover for this online (and I don't feel like scanning mine right now), so here's a link to one of her music videos on YouTube, where she pretty much has the same gorgeous 80s good looks she has in my VHS tape... :)

Cheesy, corny, silly. A cross between a workout video(with zombies), a slasher spoof(the killer wore a Ronald Reagan mask years before David Arquette's The Tripper), and clips of Linnea's previous films.

Of course I transferred it to DVD...after all it's the Holy Grail of Linnea's work:lol:
