I checked out the info and I was laughing (drugs is a serious matter) at the info.
Some of those episodes sound kind of Dorky. But then again we were kids then.

The New Zoo Revue was one of the best kids shows of the 70s. It had a Sid and Marty Krofft look with humans in the animal costumes. I still remember the opening of the theme song that went "La la la la la la la la la la la la la la la." BTW, Doug Momary, who created the show, wrote all the songs and portrayed Doug is still married to the woman who played Emmy Jo, Emily peden.

Default You Didn't Hallucinate This: The Lost Masterpiece of the '70s, The New Zoo Revue

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7k0o5YoekXY

Quote:
The New Zoo Revue was one of the strangest, sweetest forgotten kids TV shows of the 1970s — a musical fever dream with Freddie the Frog, Henrietta Hippo, Charlie the Owl, Doug, and Emmy Jo.

In this episode of Fever Dream Nostalgia, we dig into the real story behind the classic children’s show you may only remember in fragments. Was it a puppet show? A musical? A preschool morality play? A Sesame Street cousin from another dimension?

We explore the creation of The New Zoo Revue, Doug Momary and Emily Peden’s role as Doug and Emmy Jo, the show’s focus on kindness and emotional lessons, the Sid and Marty Krofft connection, the surprising cast members, the songs, the reruns, the fan memories, and why this forgotten piece of retro kids TV still means so much to the people who grew up with it.

This is '70s nostalgia, forgotten kids television, retro TV history, childhood memories, lost-media-adjacent weirdness, and one giant frog proving that your strangest childhood memories were real.

No, you didn’t dream it.

It was real.
