    To answer your question about NBC's World Series coverage and soaps, NBC always did a pregame show, with either Jim Simpson or Joe Garagiola, so there wouldn't be time for any of the soaps at all. The only time a pregame didn't air was in 1972, when NBC aired Return to Peyton Place before game 5. Beginning in 1972, NBC aired prime time games, so the soaps aired as scheduled.

    I don't believe that NBC aired any of it's soap operas before a World Series game between 1948 and 1972.

    I read your thread about finding promos from Mama's Family during the 1986-1990 run. Unfortunately, I could not find a link to play them. That's strange, because all the other people who have replied to your thread seemed to have been able to watch them. Yet, I couldn't.
