She apparently had at least two, possibly more siblings? I know some might find my view unreasonable but oh well: I found it insulting on Lorene’s behalf that her family couldn’t or wouldn’t pull it together on behalf of her children. Were her parents not alive? How could any of them not try to take in her children and prevent them from being given up? It didn’t mention in the segment that the family ever got the kids back though it’s inferred that they were there as adults. But I really hope she took her money and ran. I’d be so angry at my siblings. |

One of my favorite interviews is the woman who was at a pool hall and got surrounded by a few men who dragged her outside to a moving car (can someone give me the name of that woman/episode again?). She doesn't use her real name, yet she is interviewed in full sight which I found strange. She was taken to an apartment and raped and managed to fight back and escape from the house. That woman.................wow, she is someone you go to war with! But I love every minute of her interview and her descriptions of the events. She is so animated in explaining things and just seems to have a good spirit about it all. But some moments of the interview you have to laugh because she just seems so cool of a person and explains it that way.

America's Most Wanted also did a segment on Rufino and they played Christina's 911 call on it. More than two decades later, I still remember it. "I'm naked in a cardboard box.... on the side of the road. I screamed and I screamed.... and nobody came." Harrowing. |

Like the kid in the orphan train segment in the early seasons, maybe the first, who yelled "BYYYYYYYYE" to that point that his voice cracked. I get a kick out of that every time I hear it.

1. The Wyoming Bones segment when the entire town has come out to see Newell Sessions open the mysterious trunk.
2. The Bigfoot segment when Mr. Foot (for lack of anything else to call him) rolls down the side of a hill after he's startled by that guy yelling at him. |

Just remembered another one that I don't think has ever been mentioned on here (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong):
In the original airing of the Gertrude Pruett segment, Bob Stack mentioned right before his usual "if you have any information...." line that her last known employment was as a live-in nanny, and her former employers wanted her baked squash recipe if she was caught. Stack couldn't help but do his typical half-smile while saying it. I wonder if Gertrude ever honoured their request. I also wonder what made it so special. |

There was one where I think, the police found an escaped suspect standing at a bus stop with his hands in his pockets, to hide his (broken?) handcuffs.

I just noticed a small gem the other night. When Arthur Paul Beal is collapsing in the desert in the re-enactment, the stranger kind of helps him down. If you look closely enough, he doesn't run or jog away from the collapsed man. He walks casually!
