Also the red headed actress who played the mother of benny , also played the older sister, who raised her five younger siblings in a farm house that burned down and there younger siblings were seperated. Glendas, Keith and Erica were being looked for.

I’ve been wondering if UM often hired local actors for cases. I wish I had their names. The actor who played the father-in-law of Carl Austin Weiss (Huey Long segment) also played Ernest Acosta (Audrey Moate segment), both cases filmed in NOLA and Baton Rouge. The actor you all mentioned above who played the guy with the gun in the Curt Borton segment also played Brad Bishop, both cases filmed in Washington DC and surrounding areas. And of course Stephni Weir from Mad TV is from Odessa, Texas where the Neil Jennings segment took place and was filmed. It’s cool that UM hired local actors on multiple occasions.

Some actors were named in the closing credits and someone (I thought from here) mentioned that UM did that for SAG members. Does anyone know if I am remembering that right?

Just found one tonight I've never noticed in all these years: the "never you mind" hunter in the Audrey Moate segment and the man who waved to A.J. Breaux but didn't get a wave back = same actor. Both Louisiana cases, so he must have been a local.

That's a great catch. UM did this a lot for segments filmed in the same general area as others.

They said in the 35th anniversary special that UM became like a community theatre for local actors. And you can see why, for budget reasons (Why go through an LA agency and fly Hollywood-based actors out to those locations when you can just use local talent)

That’s what happened with my middle school classmate who appeared in the Eugene Price Lost Love segment. (He played young Eugene). This was a local case. He was a hardcore dancer more than an actor but he did have a resemblance to Eugene. And I’m sure he was probably picked through the same agency.

Found another one today: the same actress played Sally Garrity and the strip club waitress who didn't want to talk to Anton Kline in the Crystal Spencer segment.

Wow, good catch. Never noticed that.
The Garrity segment had one of my favorite exchanges:: "Get a job." "Shut uuuuuuup!"

I've tried IMDB, Google, Fandom, multiple searches throughout this forum, and I keep coming up completely empty.
His name is Todd O. Russell and his IMDB page is here:

In the case of Eric Kessler (Edward Maynard), the same actor who played him in the segment came back again to play him in the update (with his real voice lol). This is the only case I remember this happening. Are there any others I missed? I cannot see to prove that the couple in the Kay Beeman update were the same actors, and it’s clear the actor in the Dennis DePue update was not the same.
