Not really. Rise inherited the slot where This is Us did so well and did a whole lot worse. It dropped from The Voice, then Chicago Med built on it, which is a sign of NBC viewers abandoning Rise like a plague. I watched the Rise pilot and wasn't impressed, not nearly as good as Glee's first season, which itself was nowhere near the level of Fame.

[I[/I]IMO, NBC did not give that and Bluff City Law a fair shot. In NBC’s eyes it you are not Law and Order or one of the Chicago shows you are not worth it to them. NBC aired an encore of the premiere of the latter and after that they failed to promote it. They treated BCL like a red headed stepchild.

Making a deal in July 2024 to air NBA Tuesday-night doubleheaders for the next eleven years (2025-2036), and then selling all of their cable properties into Versant, when that NBA Tuesday package could have easily been on USA Network (one of the cable networks being spun off). If the two-hour Datelines on Fridays is bad enough, now space on NBC's primetime schedule is going to be severely tightened for the next decade, and it will be difficult for the network to build new scripted hit shows.

Even with no cable networks, NBC could have put all the games on Peacock. That is where tonight's NBA games are.
