I record it when I have to.

Is it a tad bit extreme to suggest that NBC seriously needs a change in leadership across the board? I mean from protecting Bill Cosby, to withholding the Access Hollywood tapes, the Brian Williams debacle, rejecting Ronan Farrow's harassment piece and now Matt Lauer. These things have happened under multiple presidents and CEOs. There is clearly a cultural issue that needs to be addressed.

You bet-- not only that, but that's all that Dateline is about these days: crime, crime, and more crime!

NBC should've picked up the proposed Facts Of Life follow-up show. NBC would've renewed FoL for season 10 but two of the leads were exiting. FoL got a second wind in the mid-80s and was still a solid performer in season 9. They could've paired the show on Fridays with the proposed Jackee spin-off of 227. Sonny Spoon would've had a better shot at 10pm after Miami Vice.

Ironically, I saw The Jackee pilot last night. I don't think it would have made it.

Scheduling Let's Make a Deal 2003 opposite American Idol on Tuesday nights. Instead of scheduling it on Saturday nights as originally planned.

Not at all the greatest disasters, but it's early in the morning...

**The 9:30/8:30 central time-slot is my choice.

And all those post "Cheers"/"Seinfeld" flops that spanned decades.

And then:

Cancelling "Jag" and "Baywatch".

While renewing:

"The John Larroquette Show (for a 4th season) and the "The Mommies" (for a second)".

Tinkering with "The Tonight Show" and "Today". Both adjusted nicely but a gate was crept open for major competition.

Also of note:

**"Supertrain"and all those Silverman disasters from the late 70's.
**"Family Ties" moves to Sunday's and "A Different World" was born.
**Brian Williams.
**"Sanford Arms" (Sanford).
**"After the original series ended..." via Wikipedia = NBC cancels "The Golden Girls".
**"ER" syndication deal.

I agree about Family Ties move to Sunday's. Also, here is a review of what I previously said

- Expanding the today show to three hours and eventually four.

- Stepping in while Jimmy Connors auditioned to host daytime Wheel (after Pat left) and asking him to work in the sports department instead of allowing him to do both

Some of NBC's screw-ups were beyond its control. How about all those sporting events affected by other events (the 1980 Moscow Olympics boycott, the hostages released from Iran, President Reagan's shooting, which coincided with, respectively, NBC's broadcast rights for the 1980 Games, Super Bowl XV, and the NCAA championship) or the fact that 1980 was the year it was NBC's turn to host the Emmys and no one showed up because of a long, long actors' strike?

Family Ties movin' to Sunday was a BIG TIME Mess-Up, the show didn't stand a chance against Prime Time's #1 Drama in Murder She Wrote
