Is there any evidence or proof that had there been a tenth season, it would've gone the Archie Bunker's Place route and change the show's name to The Lisa Whelchel Show? Didn't NBC even announce both it and Empty Nest on the 1988 fall schedule. The series either way, would've in all likelihood, continued with the focus being on Blair as headmistress at Eastland.

No official name was given to the proposed series. Most people called it "Facts of Life: The Next Generation."

If everyone had their ideas on how they would have fixed The Facts of Life's series finale, this is what I would have done: I would have aired BOTH parts of The Facts of Life's series finale on April 30, 1988, and pre-empted 227 (which would have meant "Country Cousins" and "Best Friends" being delayed to May 7 and May 13 of 1988 respectively). How come this was never considered by NBC?
