Me too! I first saw Bob on T or C . He also used to host the Miss USA and Miss Universe contests early to mid 70's too! I remember Bob from them too!

I wonder if Drew Carey will do a special tribute to Bob Barker on The Price Is Right on Monday like Wayne Brady did for Monty Hall on Let's Make A Deal when Monty Hall died on Halloween 2016? Because Bob Barker was a legend of TPIR and they should come up with something marvelous at CBS

Has CBS announced what TPIR will do in honor of Bob Barker's legacy? Will there be a tribute episode like I mentioned in my earlier post yesterday? And will Let's Make A Deal do a Bob Barker tribute on their show too?

Bob Barker presided over his The Price is Right congregation like a "gentle pastor"

I heard on Youtube that there will be no funeral or memorial services scheduled for Bob Barker so i'm wondering what they are going to do? Because Bob Barker was a game show legend like Allen Ludden Bill Cullen and Regis Philbin and Alex Trebek. So CBS should do a nice tribute to Bob to honor his memory. When I was sorting out my Nintendo DS games I found my TPIR Second Edition Nintendo DS game and I decided to play it and it was fun. If anyone has a The Price Is Right video game either for your Nintendo DS Wii or even the computer game of The Price Is Right I advise you to get together with your friends and play a few games to honor Bob Barker

He actually didn’t. Bill Cullen was the original host.

Barker hosted the revival that started in 1972.

GSN is showing a Match Game marathon with episodes that have Bob Barker as a guest, this Saturday starting at 9 am.

Who would think to do that? Why not some Truth or Consequences episodes, many of which I recently read, do exist?

T or C is likely property of the Ralph Edwards estate. Even on YouTube there are only a handful of episodes. Shame too, because it was syndicated for 8 years, and over 1000 should be available.

The prizes and prize money on T or C were second banana to the humor.

"The Forum, Pets and us - BBC Sounds" (audio)
Quote:
Released On: 26 Aug 2023 [Available for over a year]

For every young American under the age of 18, there are about two cats or dogs receiving free food and lodgings in US homes and that pattern is replicated in many other countries. So why do so many of us keep pets? Why do we name them, consider them part of the family? Companionship, pleasure, status symbol and kinship with all life have been offered as explanations but it's easy to forget that mass keeping of pets - as opposed to working animals - is a recent development of the last two centuries or so.

Iszi Lawrence talks about our evolving relationship with pets with Dr. Anindita Bhadra from the Dog Lab at the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research in Kolkata; Dr. Erin Hecht, evolutionary biologist from Harvard; Dr. Margo DeMello, anthrozoologist from Carroll College in Montana; writer and cultural commentator from Japan Manami Okazaki; Durham University historian Professor Julie-Marie Strange; and Rachel Williams, neuroscientist at UCL and comedian. We also sift through the dozens of comments and pet stories sent in by Forum listeners.
