I thought Jack Coleman was a very good replacement (the only one on Dynasty I ever liked), but Emma Samms? She was just awful. She did improve a lot in the last season, but I hated her before that. Pamela Sue Martin was so spellbinding as Fallon; they shouldn't have bothered replacing her.

Pamela Sue Martin apparently left Dynasty because she was sick and going bald. She wore wigs for most of the run on the show. That's when it started to look so bad and she seemed completely exhausted and out of breath when she read her lines.

As I understood it, she left because her then-husband was financing a feature film for her, Torchlight (which bombed), and she felt the character had been made less evil and more of a "good girl."
