It was how long before our Mary was murdered? was it like two days or two weeks? either way it was ENOUGH time for whoever paid off the "hitman" to contact him and scald his ass for getting the wrong one. in my mind it plays out as whoever wanted her dead got mad because the "deed" was done in the "hitmans" eyes and he wasn't sticking his neck out for another "job" because it was too soon and too risky. Hearing this whoever ordered the "hit" must have gotten antsy and decided to do it themselves. NOW DUANE there are only a HANDFULL of people outside the law that heard the 911 call, and if YOU LEAK ANYTHING that I tell you I WILL KNOW it was YOU and they will know it WAS ME who told you. In the call she never said "he" or "she" she said "they" she was in her car calling 911 and saying that "they are trying to get me" "help me they are trying to kill me" and she screamed and it went blank. I NEVER ONCE met Mary and I have NEVER talked or anything to her. Not until Katy came back to W.V. and settled back in did we meet. And over 8 years I have seen this **** escalate. I AM TIRED of that little girl not being able to grow up into a ****ing adult because of this ******** that happened in her life. It is like she came back to Texas to relive her youth that was taken from her when her mother was taken. And that interfered with MY life and took my little girl. I WANT THIS **** SOLVED NOW. ANYTHING I CAN DO TO HELP JUST ASK. I am with you NOW. I DONT CARE WHO KNOWS IT OR WHO GETS MAD. I WANT TO HELP. If they see it as me cohorting with the enemy SO BE IT. BUT at least I had the balls to man up and talk to you and the heart to listen. Laurie IS EXACTLY how you described her. That is ALL I will say about that. And I have talked with Merr recently since Katy went out there. Laurie lit into me calling me a scum bag and telling me that I was NO kind of father to my daughter, whom she has NEVER seen since she was ONE week OLD. And barely had ANY contact with us. I WAS addicted to pain killers. WAS, and not because I LIKED TO GET HIGH, there are HUNDREDS of WAYS TO GET HIGH and I HAVE NOT EVEN SO MUCH AS TRIED POT BEFORE. I broke my spine and Doctors prescribed them to me and NEVER educated me on the effects especially the long term effects. But anyway after Laurie talked that to me Merr emailed me later with a "caring hand" and talked really nice to me and let me in on some of their life as a "couple". I can totally see what a Detective told me to my face the night I heard that 911 call. He said that they suspected a "female" friend of Mary's to have had a "crush" on Mary that didn't go as she had planned it to. They suspected, SUSPECTED ONLY,that she may have been rejected and didn't take it well. ME,MYSELF started putting together a kind of "soap opera" together in my head. Mrs.,well call her Ann, Mrs. Ann was in love with Mary, Mary cried on her shoulder all the time and came across as VERY confused and in a horrible situation where two men were ruining her life. Her abusive husband and the man she was having an affair on him with. Well Mrs. Ann falls for Mary who seems vulnerable, she tries one night to profess her love and gets shot down REALLY HARD, she gets insanely mad and goes home to vent to her "other" lover ,Mrs.Angel. Mrs Angel is caught off guard that her "lover" had been shot down by another woman BUT she loves Mrs. ANN and doesnt blame her but blames Mary. Together they plot on a way to end this once and for all. For Mrs. Ann it's revenge, "who is she to turn ME down, the ONLY one that cares for and loves her and the ONLY person in this planet who doesnt mistreat her" and Mrs. Angel it's revenge for "how dare you seduce MY lover and make her think you REALLY care for her and use YOUR problems to draw her into your little love triangle". SO after the "botched" hit, they decide that Mary has had TOO many chances and has gotten out of too many jams and does it themselves by running her off the road and doing it themselves. I DON'T KNOW who done it Duane, BUT they knew the gun was there, THEY KNEW what road she was on, THEY KNEW about yours and hers little "falling out" and they KNEW WAY TOO MUCH. EVEN Mary knew something was up Duane. It is actually tremendously scary to know some of the **** Katy has told me about those last couple days. She said that ANY other day Mary would dress in VERY brightly colored clothes and ALWAYS wore her REAL engagement ring. During those last FEW days she started wearing ALL BLACK,which Katy said she didn't even think about wearing even to funerals, and she made sure to wear her "fake" engagement ring. NOW, Katy, WAS IN FACT, with Mike at the time of the MURDER, BUT, THAT DOES NOT mean that MIKE DIDN'T have anything to do with it. I WILL TELL YOU, that once me and Katy became "exclusive" he began bringing a woman home which in less than two years after Mary's death he marries. When Katy had her graduation from high school THE VERY DAY actually she had to be out of her apartment she had been living in. I was permitted to spend the night and even sleep in the same bed as katy at the apartment, BUT when they moved into a home owned by his new wife, I wasn't even allowed to stay in the same HOUSE overnight. EVEN THOUGH, his "soon to be wife" stayed under the same roof as me MANY MANY times before. Her with Mike and me with Katy, we had diners and lunches and EVERYTHING TOGETHER, BUT NOW when the ball was in HER court she made it clear that I was NOT welcome to be there. Eventually Mike began drifting further and further away from Katy. He was there when the baby was born, ONLY because he happened to work right across the street. AFTER the baby was born he NEVER seen her but ONCE or TWICE in the THREE years of her life. I remember PLAIN AS DAY Duane, me and Katy were walking through the mall and she was around 5 months pregnant, hadnt told her father yet because the way he had been acting she was scared to. She said "dad I am going to have a baby" he looked at her with the blandest of stares,never even batted a ****ing eyelash and simply stated "you know that your pregnancy and your birth WILL NOT be covered by my insurance" and that is ALL HE SAID TO HER. THAT WAS IT. And the LAST time either of us saw him until delivery day. He IS AN ULTRA PIECE OF ****. and some of the things I found out that he had done to Mary is ********. DUDE, DUANE if you mention that last statement this dialogue between us is over OK? Not to be rude BUT ONLY I KNOW SOME OF THE DARK **** HE DID TO HER. And if you MAGICALLY find out then they will know who told it and my family will be COMPLETELY destroyed. BUT after some of the HORRIBLE **** I heard he did to her, I WOULD NEVER ALLOW HIM ANY ALONE TIME WITH MY DAUGHTER. or MY CHILD FOR THAT MATTER, MALE OR FEMALE. SO just about anything that you could conjure up in the sickest part of your imagination wouldnt come close to some of the **** I heard, and I BELIEVE. SO I let you in on some VERY personal knowledge, I hope I have earned a little bit of your trust. at least enough to start hearing some VERY important things about her death. I absolutely HAVE TO GET THIS SOLVED Duane. It will DESTROY KATY if it doesnt. SHE NEEDS CLOSURE. OUT OF EVERYONE INVOLVED YOU,LAURIE,MIKE, STEPH, ITS KATY THAT NEEDS THE RESOLUTION, I HOPE YOU AGREE. THAT was her MOTHER, her BEST FRIEND and her ONLY source on how to be a WOMAN when Katy needed her the MOST she was taken. KATY didn't even know HOW to be a proper woman Duane, that is SO sad to me. Sorry to bump this thread, but I am making my way through the later seasons on Prime and watched this one again. My impressions of Mike Morris have actually changed a little bit. I do not find the refusal of the polygraph, refusing to let his daughter be questioned, or the 4 minute phone call to be suspicious anymore. I remembered that the segment said that Mike suspected Mary of having an affair with a longtime family friend and confronted them over that. So it is absolutely within logic that an overbearing and jealous husband would let the phone ring for 4 full minutes because he thought his wife was having an affair. The police indicated that the phone call took place 2 hours after Mary called 911. Meaning that Mary was roughly 2 hours late coming home from work. Making the phone call even less suspicious, IMO.

The only problem I have with Mike Morris's story is the gun. It's his word alone that Mary wanted one for protection, and he was the one who said Mary kept it in her car for protection. But it seems like so much scrutiny was placed on the 2nd Mary's personal life that the 1st Mary just kind of flew under the radar. The 1st Mary Morris was killed 3 miles east of her home. I cannot fathom how a hitman would have bungled it that bad to where he didn't check the address of his intended target. Either the 1st Mary Morris was a random murder and the 2nd Mary Morris murder was an unbelievable coincidence, or, IMO, the 1st Mary Morris was the intended target all along.

Since Duane Young has introjected himself in these cases over and over and over again, he has moved to the top of my list and boy I wish the police would take his rants more seriously. And yes I said, CASES, pleural. For a man who did not know my mother he sure has talked about her an awful lot and reached out to people associated with ME and reached out to podcast about his thoughts on the death of MY MOTHER. Which should be someone that he does not know at all and really should not have an opinion about. Why in the world would an innocent man do that? The ONLY link in these 2 cases is Duane Young!!! He is the only person that we have been able to say has any link to people in both these cases.

In the last several years since Podcast became a craze and everyone an honorary sleuth, I have had to sit back and listen to everyone's theories about what happened to my mother. As much as I really do appreciate the interest in solving these crimes I have only ever wished that people would not forget that there really were 2 separate woman named Mary Morris who were murdered and they have families that were left behind who love them, miss them and grieve their loss on a regular basis. This is not a new thriller on NetFlix. We are approaching yet another Christmas without our moms. There are women who won't have the luxury of ever having their mom comfort their heartbreak and little girls who will never have a chance to have a grandma spoil them or cheer them on as only a proud Grandma can.

So, I do have to say that I appreciate that The Prosecutors took an interest in these crimes and appear to be more interested in presenting plausible scenarios vs just trying to sensationalize the story to gain more followers. They are one of the few podcast that actually made an effort to reach out to people that knew the victims or had some involvement in the cases in an attempt to get the real story. Now I just have to wait until next Tuesday to hear how the suspect admits to his role in two homicides. I guess it is obvious that you did not confess to being a murder because surely you would be behind bars already but a girl can dream, can't she?

Disclaimer: I am NOT saying that I KNOW who killed my mother and don't have the evidence to support my suspicions but you know who you are and you know what you have done. I often wonder if the guilt of being a murderer keeps you up at night as much as being a murder victims daughter keeps me up. Is that why you send emails to people all hours of the day and night? Do the last words of dead woman torment you in your sleep so you cannot rest? Is that why you search and stalk people online around the clock or are you just looking for your next victim? Is the inability to alleviate your conscience what drives your compulsive and uncontrolled behavior or will their indelible souls not stop haunting you? Do you have the Mary Morris murders lining your search history because you want to relish in your work or are you feeling the walls closing in on you? I wish I could just blurt out that I KNOW that _______________ is a murderer but I can't. I just pray that we will get answers soon and my mother can rest in peace.

A good podcast-unlike a lot of the true crime ones the hosts seem to take it pretty seriously, with some humour-rather than swearing & making fun of everything. Did find it a bit hard to keep up with the two cases & the cast of people & wondering which Mary they are talking about at times.
