Murphy Brown seasons will not be released due to poor sales

I wonder just how dicey it is for CBS to bring Murphy Brown back after being off the air for 20 years? Murphy Brown was a huge hit in its day but it really didn't have much of a life re-runs (likely because it was so topical) after it went off the air. Only one season was every released on DVD and suffered from poor sales. The show is also not available on any streaming site (allegedly due to the high music licensing fees associated with the show). Outside of people who were alive in the late '80s and early '90s, who remembered watching the show during its peak, it's largely forgotten. Shows like Roseanne and Will & Grace had much more cultural significance and continued on in syndication and DVDs long after their runs were over.
