I didn't think you liked Boy Meets World.

I watched TGIF from the beginning. I watched all four shows up (and would finish the block off by also watching 20/20), until the time "Sabrina" came on. I had no interest in that show. I've since bought the DVDs of it, and it's alright, but it just wasn't a show that interested me at the time. By the final lineup, I was only watching "Boy Meets World."

TGIF was at it's best between 1989 and 1996.

That had more family oriented shows and some that have VERY moral values...but when the 1996-1997 season of TGIF came around...it went downhill from there!

Why do I feel 1996 was the peak of everything and after that it all went downhill?

"TGIF" show creators and stars discuss what made ABC's Friday night programming so iconic
“There’s a sweetness to these shows,” said Sabrina the Teenage Witch creator Nell Scovell at an ATX TV Festival panel. Boy Meets World's Ben Savage added: "We didn't have social media so we were in a bit of a cocoon and we were just creating the show and having fun and exploring. I think there's a lot more pressure on kids today because everything they're doing is being scrutinized. We got to have a little more fun a little more flexibility. We didn't get as much interaction with fans but we got more freedom."

There are dozens of shows that I never watched when they were first on because they didn't interest me at the time (Many of which were because I was a child at the time and/or because they ran opposite of a show that I liked). Fast-forward to today and I watch a show such as this and find they are pretty good. Oh the things that you can do today thanks to home video!

My favorite ABC schedule (though not on Friday nights) was the Tuesday 1978 line-up:

8:00 PM Happy Days
8:30 PM Laverne & Shirley
9:00 PM Three's Company
9:30 PM Taxi
10:00 PM Starsky & Hutch

I do because the original TGIF Block on ABC was at its very peak during the early to mid 90s as i may recall.
