Yep. It was better that way. Even when she left with the other actress and the show was reincarnated, the show was missing them as key elements. I liked Lisa and Monroe but the daughters and their presence was missed to me.

I've noticed that towards the end of the ABC run, there were apparently, at least two backdoor pilots. There was "Don't Rock the Boat", where Henry's old Navy buddy played by Dick Van Patten is engaged to a 26 year old woman. And "Family Business" about a remodeling business.
