Two weeks ago I watched "The Wrong Guy" for like the 100th time and I still love that episode. That scene between Charles and Lila is SO touching.

I remember that episode. I saw it during its first run on CBS back in 1984 when I was seven at the time. Wow! Where has the time gone?

The part that still stuck out to me was when Stan told Jill "don't baker her any cookies". (Lila) I have seen this in reruns a few times. I do like season one over the others. I still like series as a whole though.

Michael Pearlman did a podcast a few years ago about Charles in Charge and the cast changes. They originally wanted to bring back the Pembrokes but Jonathan Ward had just landed a series, Julie Cobb wanted her old network salary, which is why a different actress portrayed her in the first syndication episode and James Widdoes had started to segue into directing. That just left Michael Pearlman and April Lerman so it didn't make any sense to keep a family that would've mostly been recast, so they got a new one. He seemed pretty fond of his short tenure on the show.

I'm actually only a fan of season 1 with the Pembrokes, as that was the series I grew up with. I never really watched the later seasons. I have season 1 on dvd and love it!
