That's why, when I tape, I DON'T CUT OUT the commercials. You just wait 10-15 more years, you'll have a HUGE number of commercials to be nostalgic about, even tho they might not seem like it now. But mark my words. ;)
That's true! Even though I hate 'em, they're definately something to look back on. I have commercials on a lot of my tapes from YEARS ago that are fun to look back on.

I always cut the commercials out of the DVDs I make.

I still remember this one dream I had way back in September with John Ritter in it (that was like 2-3 days after he died) and I was on "Three's Company" with him, only it was the REAL thing and not being televised...You know, like I was REALLY living with him and we weren't actors or anything. I was standing somewhere near the step by the door, then John (as Jack) came bursting through the door and said "Don't worry, me and TZ will save you!" I've always remembered that dream and I think I will for a long time. :(
dandelion wine 11-03-2003, 03:24 AM I hear Hot Chocolate's "You Sexy Thing" in my head whenever I see Bill..

Yep! The Weather Channel forecast! From May 3, 1988! How cool is that?
I have a few tapes from 1990-94 that I like looking back at, too. :D Esp. the 1990 one. Al Roker is somewhere on there & he looked....REALLY different back then. :o

For me, it depends on the situation. Half the time I sit thru them, the other half the time, I have to go to the bathroom or get something to eat so I leave the room. I do get restless if there are frequent commercial breaks, tho. :(

Like last night during the CBS 75th. They took one like every 10-15 mins, and at the beginning, I got up a lot to either go to the bathroom or find something to stuff my face with, but during the last half I pretty much stayed seated.

You started HS in 1989 so that means you graduated in 1993. ;) Did you go to your 10 yr reunion? And that's funny how you mention that because Mary & I both entered HS exactly 10 years after you did, so we both just got to start HS at the end of the 90's. ;) Now the current seniors have been there since 2000. It feels so weird not knowing anybody else who is in HS now that started in the 90's because the rest of us graduated.
Yep, I was a cutie back then! :biglove:

Ohhhh yeah. When I saw the Murphy Brown clip (it was the one with the date stamp of May 18, 1992), I was like "OMG, I was only in kindergarten then! I remember that!". Oh geez. There were quite a few faces I was glad to recognize again -- Annie Potts, Carol Burnett, etc. :loveya:

Oh my. You just reminded me of my junior year when this REALLY nice & quiet girl who was in my marketing class got pregnant. She'd already been pregnant by the time school started in August 2001 (she gave birth in December 2001), but I had NO IDEA AT ALL she was pregnant. Not one. It got pretty cold early on in the year, so she wore a baggy jacket a lot to class & always zipped up her jacket and was humped over in her chair and stuff...she was pretty tall too, so she walked, humped over a little, during her pregnancy. I never saw a big tummy or anything. So it took me by surprise when I came to class one day and my marketing teacher announced to my class that the nice, quiet girl had just given birth! THAT was surprising. Usually it's the sluts that get pregnant.

I must've missed her...Too many stars to keep track of. Besides, I was looking for Carol Burnett. She looks GREAT for 70. She DOES look old now but she's still the same pretty Carol I remember. I adore her smile, too! :D

Scary fact...My dad graduated from HS in '72 and went to college til '74..."All in the Family" was on when he was in college, and my dad had hair that looked a LOT like Meathead's, only black & not as wavy. Plus, he had those REALLY scary-looking glasses that were so popular in the 70's. :barf:

PZelda 11-03-2003, 04:49 AM God this is so ****ing funny, I almost peed my pants when I read this...Embarrassing moment from the November '03 issue of YM...
Always Taking the Good Seat
My sister took my brother and me to a movie but wouldn't let us sit with her. Little did we know, it was promotional night at the theater, and they were giving away a prize to the cutest couple. A staff member came over to us and said we had won, but we'd have to stand in front of the screen and kiss to get our prize. I freaked and screamed, "KISS MY BROTHER?" Everyone heard and gave me a dirty look... They thought I was dating my brother! Gross!

I have this one cousin that was born sometime in January 1995 (so she'll be 9 in a little while), and now she does NOT look almost 9. She is so pretty - she's definitely a mommy's girl, because she looks a lot like her mom & they both have super-long, beautiful hair that her mom takes really good care of for her. It's just, wow. She needs to stay a baby forever, because when they grow up... Oh God. Now I sound like a mom.
