I've been kicking myself ever since I found out about that. I should've been here that night, but I was on the phone with that jerko friend of mine.. well, former friend. Normally, if I'm not around the boards it's because I'm catching up on sleep.

My dad & stepmom were headed out to San Francisco yesterday (they left at 5:30AM), and right as I sent off my email to request Katey Sagal's autograph, the lights upstairs went on! (the comp is in a room where there's part of a wall that's open so you can see upstairs because the house is four-level split, meaning there aren't any full-level floors so we have a halfway upstairs and two basements) So I logged off immediately and dived into the guest bedroom next to the computer room, locked the door, and I didn't get caught. I ended up sleeping in there instead. :D :lol:

Well, I got my Gateway {yes, that explains a lot} in 1999. I just recently cleaned everything off the hard drive and started all over again, but there's still the molasses modem, the always-tenous AOhHell connection, and the occasional unexplainable crash. :mad: I know I need a new one, but we're still paying off this one, so ... up creek, zero paddle. ohno:

Well, I turned the damn thing around and all I can see is a bunch of numbers that make zero sense. What may be equally frustrating is I've got an all-in-one: the drives are built into the monitor.

There's numbers & stuff but there should be something that says "MANUFACTURED IN" and mine looks like
MANUFACTURED IN
NOVEMBER 1999

Sometimes they have a manufactured date like 101286 which comes out to October 12, 1986. :)
