Koppenhaver? Hushagen? Omlid? I want teachers with NORMAL last names.

I swear, college teachers/profs have the worst last names. Worse than my teahcers in HS....Some of them included:

Sletteland (We have family friends with a similar last name, and I used to get those two mixed up)
Klemetsrud (it's apparently a common last name up where I lived)
Kadrmas (I used to think it was Kadramas)
VonBank
Brandvold
Wakefield
Boehmer (that spelling exactly)

And....I could go on...but they sound relatively normal to my college teachers' last names!

Edit: Oh my God. I just realized all the last names but one ended in "D".

Cool classes.

So is the one here. It still works fine and everything, that's not the problem, but the problem is sometimes when you turn on the TV. Since the TV is from 1989, it doesn't come with closed captioning on it, so we have to have a separate decoder for it. OK, so when you turn the TV or the decoder on, sometimes the picture gets REALLY screwed up and stays that way for a few seconds then goes back to normal...

 It's been very faithful to us, though. Never given us a problem other than that remote issue. It started in 2000 or so...Suddenly, the TV remote wouldn't work with the TV anymore. Tried new batteries, new remotes, everything. Nothing worked. She also went through a VCR as well....After a while, the VCR remote stopped working so she's on her 2nd VCR now.

This was on the final full day of my trip to DC...We took the day to walk around DC so we were walking back to the nearest subway station and along the way, we went past this...I had a few pics left on my 5th roll of film (all those pics are just a few of the 100+ I took while on my trip), so I wanted to use them up...

I think it's soooo beautiful. The Captiol building from really far away. :D

There wasn't an outlet in our corner of the hotel room (our bed was in the corner), so my ex best friend had this bright idea to try to move the BOLTED bed to one side so she could run the cord to the outlet that was next to our roommates' bed....She didn't see the little end table that was next to their bed (see pic), so she was telling me to push on the headboard, then all of a sudden, it went THUD! - crashed to the floor!  All 4 of us were laughing our asses off about it the rest of the night. My other roommates had come with a group of about 5 other girls, so they called the girls into our room to see the damage done and all 5 of them laughed their asses off and couldn't stop. Then when we called front desk to tell them about what'd happened, the lady that answered the phone started laughing her ass off and couldn't stop.
