It's actually an interesting story. The home you see seasons 3-6 was actually their THIRD home. Their second home was located at 1315 Mockingbird Lane. They lived there for one summer between seasons 2 and 3. They moved after 2 months. They didn't like their neighbors, The Munsters, because they got tired of the loud explosions from Grandpa blowing things up in the basement, and Beaver didn't have any friends on the block because the only kid around was Eddie Munster and he didn't come outside until after Beaver's bedtime.
