Okay, I'm back. Our neighbor said they were gonna put a 6 ft. chain link fence with privacy slats on the LEFT side of their yard. Our yard borders them on the RIGHT side. Anyway, the fencers came yesterday to drop off the materials so they could start the job today. This afternoon, I happen to look out my window and one of the workers is inside my dog's kennel starting to take down OUR side of the fence. So I go out there and ask him what he's doing. He says "We're replacing this fence." I said "You are? With the same exact one?" It's 4 ft tall at the moment with no privacy slats. And he says "No, with a 6 ft one." So I said "I'm going to call my husband because nobody talked to us about this." And he says "Well, maybe he talked to the owner of the house." I said "We ARE the owners of this house." So I go inside and ask my husband if our neighbor had mentioned replacing our fence and he said "No, not all. He said he was replacing the one on Andre's side because Andre's kids are mouthy brats" (the left side...we're on the right side...y'all following?) Next thing I know my doorbell rings and it's my neighbor saying the fence is $900 and he needs $450 from US!!!!! Is he ****ing joking me??? Not only do you not give us the courtesy of advance notice about this fence but you ring my bell at the last minute when my husband's not even home asking for money like I'm in the practice of keeping $450 cash conveniently wedged between my ****ing buttcheeks for such occassions? I told him that I just got off the phone with my husband who said he had absolutely no knowledge of this fence and that I would have him call him at his house to discuss it.

So my husband calls him and they talk and, basically, the outcome is that we ARE going to pay for half of the fence because now we DO want the privacy cuz we're aggravated by the lack of respect they've shown us regarding this fence issue. I don't need no feud with the neighbors so I'll remain civil as long as the they do, but the situation has changed from where I never even thought of getting a fence to really really really wanting one now. Oh well, at least we only have to pay half, but that's not the point. The point is that he should have given us advance notice, you don't freaking sucker punch us like that.

Okay, I'm done ranting. Am I crazy, chicklets, or should he have expressed his intent to us when the idea first hatched his pea brain? It's suddenly both of our responsibility when it comes time to PAY for it, but not when it's time to PLAN it? I'm sorry, but that's ****ing wrong.

Not only do you not give us the courtesy of advance notice about this fence but you ring my bell at the last minute when my husband's not even home asking for money like I'm in the practice of keeping $450 cash conveniently wedged between my ****ing buttcheeks for such occassions? I told him that I just got off the phone with my husband who said he had absolutely no knowledge of this fence and that I would have him call him at his house to discuss it.

So my husband calls him and they talk and, basically, the outcome is that we ARE going to pay for half of the fence because now we DO want the privacy cuz we're aggravated by the lack of respect they've shown us regarding this fence issue. I don't need no feud with the neighbors so I'll remain civil as long as the they do, but the situation has changed from where I never even thought of getting a fence to really really really wanting one now. Oh well, at least we only have to pay half, but that's not the point. The point is that he should have given us advance notice, you don't freaking sucker punch us like that.

Okay, I'm done ranting. Am I crazy, chicklets, or should he have expressed his intent to us when the idea first hatched his pea brain? It's suddenly both of our responsibility when it comes time to PAY for it, but not when it's time to PLAN it? I'm sorry, but that's ****ing wrong.

I hate neighbors. Hate them. And why should you have to pay for their ****ing fence??? Damn them!

I guess because it borders both of our yards. We don't even have a problem with the money, even though it's a majorly unexpected dent in our finances. Our neighbors now are really nice old people. The ones we used to have sucked really bad. The ones that were to the left of us must have been crackheads or something because every morning @ 3 they who go outside turn up their stereos and start working on their cars.

The ones to that were to the right of us, were always having sex in their backyard...

I had to go over and move everything out of my great grandma's mobile home. They sold it because the government said they have to sell everything of hers because the gov is now supporting her and paying her nursing home bills.
