Long story ! :( So I didn't go. Was watching "The Letter" (Shot 21st) and you can really start to see Mac's weight issues to show - not to mention the baggy shirt to cover the weight loss.

I guess as long as she tested clean, they couldn't do anything. But they knew the risks signing her on back full time for season 9. As we know,she didn't make it through her 4th episodes.

The really sad part of the last two seasons. In retrospect, her unplanned story arc and how it ended. (That, and the move to Wednesdays in Season 9 with the rating lop-sided)

How many people can really enjoy "Miracle of Birth" (1/2) knowing a little over a year later she abandons her daughter and husband?

I agree. I also think that it could have been handled more delicately and gradually. It was just pulled all of a sudden to write her out promptly and suddenly. I also think that yes, it was cowardly, but it was Julie. It may have been her way of dealing with things. Yeah it is bittersweet! :( Sweet because well I'm seeing my Max being a very supportive sweet soon to be Father !:heart: Bitter because yes, now we know what is going to happen! :( :( The ep, that is really sad to me is the Bedtime story And again I like it in the way that My Max is wonderful and adorable, and anything I see him in I love! ;) :eyes: But it's sad because of all the fighting and Julie is really rough on poor Max!:( She comes up with that sweet bedtime story though, but she looks very thin and haggard at this point, and it is the last ep. she is in!:( Holding and loving her baby one minute than abandoning her baby and her Husband the next ! :(

But this is was TV Land time ! More time was supposed to have elapsed than just a couple of weeks!;) But still IDK how she could have done that? Being a Mom myself it's really sad!:( And punishing the character making Julie look bad because the actress was on drugs and messing up seems pretty unfair! :( They could have had Max and Julie move back to Texas or something? But than for me it would have meant no more Max/Michael on the show and that wouldn't have been good for me!!!!:eek: :( And certainly not fair for my dear Michael to be out of work when he did nothing wrong! ;)

True. In some ways though it's too bad they didn't have her die, at least then her character wouldn't have such a negative. But you do have a point, it does sort of fit with Julie.

It's a shame that Mac ruined the show and we saw less of Max because of her constant troubles with drug abuse. In season 8 Max and Julie were just guest stars? And in Season 9 they reappear in the credits? I missed the episode where Julie left for good.

She doesn't appear in the ep. , but where she is supposed to have left Max and the baby for good was 'Dear Max"! Hopefully LOGO will be showing it soon! ;) It's really sad, but it is showing really good dramatic acting skills for Max/Michael! And as usual of course, he looks HOT!!! ;)

LOGO cut out the scene where Barbara tastes Julie's chili and says it's good, and with Julie not looking adds some more spices to it! But I think a line was added in? After the night light, Barbara ending up in Max's lap in the middle of the night, a few minutes later Mark says "Now about this bathroom late show" !:eek: I don't remember on Antenna Mark saying that? :crazy:

Also the little chalk board isn't on the kitchen door yet, there is a picture hanging there. I guess the chalk board doesn't come till Season 9!;)
