I was actually watching IDTV between typing here! Comcast Xfinity lists Mon-Fri May 1-5 Noon to 2:30pm, Monday May 8th-Thursdya The 11th Noon to 2:30pm with Added Wednsday 12am-4am as well (!) So who knows what the final air dates and times will be! All Generic Listings.

Near the end of Julie's Wedding pt. 1 he asks Barbara to play tennis, but ends up storming out of the apt. At the beginning of pt 2 he comes back with the flowers to apologize (but I don't think that much time had passed. Maybe he stole them from the lobby?)

I just feel sorry for Max for what Julie eventually does to him and the Baby -

Yeh, I know it was the show's way to "Character Assassinate" Julie and get back at Mac (All she had to do was stay clean for another dozen shows to finish the season - the last darn season for goodness sake - her own show and reduced to supporting!) because if she had been killed off, people would have felt sorry for Julie, Max and the Baby. People had to HATE Julie and in turn, Mac.

I hope Max got a court decreed divorce (abandonment) and eventually found a good step-mother for the baby. (Let's not start the Barbara leaves Mark for Max talk, never happen...)

As I've Said, Mac killed the show, it only took several seasons - if Bonnie and Val didn't have to carry the weight of a "Three hander" they might have been less tired and willing to stay on a 10th year. We often forget Mac was the second lead of the show.

Even when Mac Came back they still carried the show. I don't blame them for wanting out at year 9. The Show was always a "Three hander" with supporting players. They knew after the first unaired pilot the show needed TWO daughters!

Props to the cast members who were added, Micheal,Boyd,Glen,Ron and Howard, but they just couldn't fill the missing piece. When Mac came back, she wasn't the same and the character was reduced to supporting when the show needed it's 2nd lead.

That's what hurt the show. Micheal did his best to fill the "Second Lead - Strong Young Male" role on the show, which is why I think people like him on the show and as an actor. He came in a season, lost his job (Called in to do one show in the 6th year, carried to the 7th), then came back till the end. What they should have done is kept him for the 6th - No Ron or Glen and make an excuse about where Julie is. The whole "working out of several hubs" things so he could have appeared without Mac. Glen was a poor replacement for Mac and clearly eye-candy for the teen-girls who watched the show.

I have always believed Val's closeness to Mac was the REAL reason they never recast Julie. They didn't want her "Pulling a Bonnie". Lear did do some recasting on a couple of his shows. (The Two Lionels on "The Jeffersons" when Mike Evens was producing "Good Times" and Damon Evens - no relation - came in for the duration)

The Show's core is Bonnie-Mac-Val-Pat-and Supporting Cast. When that fell apart You have Bonnie and Val doing the work of 3 actors with Pat and Supporting. (Ironically the ratings didn't get hurt really it averaged #10 for Seasons 5-8 - Bud's Years as producer)

We should give much love to Valerie and Spirit of Bonnie for their hard work keeping the show together.

I'm still trying to find Val's "Apple's Way" - I'd love to find it in time for her 60th Birthday - so I got 3 years.

Existing and Accessible are two different things.

A lot more things exist than people realize - it's the cost of transferring to modern formats - The studios have to go back to the 35mm prints and if there's not a large market for a show, they don't. Sony is sitting on great stuff (like "The Farmer's Daughter" and "Captain Midnight-Jet Jackson") That will never see the light of day. This is why the "evergreen" comes out over and over and the rare stuff doesn't. They can sell "Bewitched" or "...Jeannie" over and over again in special editions and budget editions and make profit on transfers done 2 decades ago - and both show's colorizations have been paid for 10 times over (72 "Bewitched", 30 "Jeannie")

This doesn't really affect a show like ODAAT as they have already been transferred from the 2" Master-tapes (Which is less costly) - Logo is using 25 minute network length masters to make the edits. So far the shows, even edited look and sound fine and don't show age beyond the technology of the time.

ODAAT has some minor clearance issues (The odd "needle-drop" background song, odd performance - listen to The Flute at the scene between Julie and Max right before the Ceremony scene in Julie's Wedding,part 2" it's playing "We've Only Just Begun") but that is nothing compared to say ALICE where Linda was doing more performing as the series continued. That's holding up that series.

Let's not forget lost stuff like CBS promos and other previews and promotional material that's collecting dust at CBS Radford or CBS Fort Lee that would make great extras if and when ODAAT comes out.

The BEST Box set ever was the recently release MONKEES box set - had EVERYTHING - Stuff even the Bootlegers didn't know existed - alternate versions (Repeats,Saturday Reruns), lots footage from the "Head" Movie, and more cool stuff like the post series 33 1/3 RP MONKEES special finally restored with good sound and image. All from the vaults of Sony (Via Rhino)

...and all we want is uncut official ODAAT DVDs! :)

The great thing about watching The Love Boat in Italian is that the dialogue is so simplistic that I am able to understand a fair amount of it.

Ever find it strange that neither of the girls had red hair (or lighter hair) and their mother did? Both girls took after their father's side of the family.

I wonder if they "read" red-haired (or lighter brown hair) teen girls for Julie and later Barbara? I honestly can't see them reading blond haired girls for Julie or Barbara.

Ann wasn't a natural redhead ( Julie revealed that in "Barbara's friend" ep. ):D But her natural hair I'm sure was much lighter brown than Julie and Barbara's! Neither of the girls had blue eyes like Ann either. they totally took after Ed!!;)

It was weird how they made Ann be Italian, and Ed wasn't supposed to be ! :crazy: Even though the actor REALLY is Italian and looks it, yet they make Ann be the Italian one !!!:rolleyes:

I'm gonna order season 2 Love Boat DVD!!!;) I found it for 14 dollars!! Along with this 2 parter with Michael, season 2 also includes and ep. with Erik Estrada and Mac Kenzie Phillips (they were in the same ep,) Isn't that cool! I can't WAIT to see it on the TV and in English!!! Did I mention how much I LOVED him and how HOT he was in this??:love: :eyes:

The other Love Boat that I loved Michael in is Season 4 !! I don't think Love Boat has season 4 on DVD though! Plus that one being in English on Youtube anyway!;)

Both blonde, and they were way prettier and better suited for him than that skinny , flat chested one in that other ep. ;) He seemed like he REALLY was into the love scenes today!!:happyface

Here he was more romantic, the other one more comedy!;) Of course not seeing it in English, it probably was funny too along with romantic! ;) This character Joey seemed much less silly than Nicholas Nelson!! I LOVED them both!! :eyes: :love:

OK I just ordered the DVD's!!;) I found out there was Season 2 volume 1 and volume 2!! Michael's is on Volume 2 and Erik and Mac are on Volume 1!! So I went ahead and ordered both! ;) The cheapest I found was on Ebay, total was just under 25 dollars!

I'll be SO EXCITED to see this and know EXACTLY why Michael had two girls in this!!:eek: :heart:

You know BATMAN killed "The Munsters" - The first season (mid-season) second parts ran opposite the show on ABC and ratings dropped the 2nd half of Season 2 of "The Munsters" BAD! Ironically, more people watched the second part than the first part! (Which is why "Batman" cut the part one recaps in the later 2nd episodes so people couldn't catch up!)

Sad really, the film showed how it would have looked in color for Season 3. Interesting Universal still went ahead with the film after CBS's ratings drop and then cancellation. Too far into production?

I'd come across that. Beware that the episode titles don't always match the episode. For example, clicking on 'The Maestro' gives you 'The New Car'. I'm not sure how prevalent that problem is. The ones I had seen on Dailymotion that got pulled had the same problem, so this may be the same person.
