I've been a fan for nearly 40 years and I wish I could cut them off. I guess I like the pain. Every year it's the same thing. Maybe Romo got his interceptions out of the way earlier this year.

I'd root for them to lose so they could get better draft picks in the future but they'd screw that up too. Another 8-8 season!

I couldn't stand Christopher but they could have killed someone else off instead. I'm glad it was cancelled because I don't think I would have been able to watch Bobby's reaction. Poor guy has had so many tragedies. Pam left him after a car accident. His 2nd wife April was murdered. His other son was raised by his brother and now Christoper is dead. They probably would have turned him into a homicidal maniac like they did with Cliff Barnes.

I know what you mean. I hated what they did to Cliff. There was so much potential with this series and they blew it. I can't believe the show was on for 3 years and we still don't know what happened to Lucas or Margaret or the other Ewing heirs. we still don't know about Ray or Lucy. They just seem to be hanging around Dallas. lol In the end they just turned Dallas into a crime series using Dallas as a title. It was just a wasted opportunity. :ohno:

They had Cliff try to kill his own daughter and his unborn grandchild. JR wouldn't have even done that. It's like they made Cliff the Godfather.

Yeah, Facebook pretty much killed the message boards, especially SO, unfortunately. They have all sorts of groups on FB that are dedicated to tv shows. I can go on there and talk about the Rockford Files or Three's Company, etc. and people will make comments every day. It took me a long time to realize this, mainly because I'm a dinosaur and much prefer the forums to FB, but it's true.

So in the future, if anyone wonders why this random thread or the rest of SO is inactive, blame it on FB. ;)

I was planning on buying the Barnaby Jones complete series for $160, but when I heard half the episodes were the syndicated versions, I decided not to. That would have been my largest purchase for a TV Show easily.

TV DVDs are a lot cheaper now, for the most part. The complete series of Married... With Children is only like $25. I spent more than that on one season of that show a couple of times. Where were those low prices when I needed them?

I was planning on buying the Barnaby Jones complete series for $160, but when I heard half the episodes were the syndicated versions, I decided not to. That would have been my largest purchase for a TV Show easily.

TV DVDs are a lot cheaper now, for the most part. The complete series of Married... With Children is only like $25. I spent more than that on one season of that show a couple of times. Where were those low prices when I needed them?
I love Barnaby Jones. I wish it was on TV again. Do you get Antenna TV or Me Tv? Ever since I've gotten those channels it feeds my appetite for classic TV? Antenna Tv is getting Dear John, Mork and Mindy and uncut episodes of Johnny Carson beginning January1. And Mama's Family is coming to Me TV.

That's probably smart. I haven't watched Dallas for awhile but the show did go on too long. Probably should have ended when Pam left.

Yeah, or Season 8. I've only seen the final season once. It's hard to watch the show when so many of the original characters had left and the new ones weren't really memorable except for George Kennedy.

I get Cozi TV. I wish I had Antenna TV, I'd love to see those uncut Johnny Carson shows. I wouldn't be surprised if it does better ratings than the current late night talk show.

hahah..Me too, and because I had a fleeting crush on Dirk Benedict

Now I rarely watch my A-Teams DVD, because after my infatuation on Dirk waned, I realized how horrible this show was!

My favorite episode is the one where everybody gets shot and no one dies.

It's definitely not a well written show, but I can take it in small doses, the first few seasons anyway.

Last time I bought a TV DVD was seasons 2 and 3 of AITF for my brother and sister-in-law for Valentines Day.

I really want the first couple seasons of Dr. Kildare. I already have Marcus Welby, M.D. and Medical Center.

I was looking at the old forum yesterday, and it seems like it was a lot of fun back in the day.
