Her eyes bugged out, and she didn't know what to do. She got out of bed quickly and tried to push Mr. Simmons awake and OUT of her bed. He was out cold in the previous stages of a hang-over, and nothing she could do could could wake him up. She resigned to throwing a bunch of sheets over him and praying she could think of something, some reason, to keep Darren out of her room. She thought of saying that she had a present for him in there, which she hadn't wrapped yet, but that was a fairly obviously untrue excuse. Darren's knocks got louder. "Babe, it's me! Darren? Come on, it hasn't been THAT long!" he laughed. "I can't wait to see you, babe!" and she could hear the innocent and pure love he had for her in his heart, making her feel even more rotten.

She put a robe around herself and closed her bedroom door then saw her brother on the couch and remembered that he was there, too.
'Gees, everyone and his mother is at my place tonight,' she thought.
She wondered if she should throw her brother in her room and pretend like no one was there, but it was too late. John Jr. had woken up also. He raised his head from the couch and said, "Oh, make em shut the h-ll up and go away! Who it that anyways?" he asked, turning his head towards her, squinting in the dark.
"Darren," she muttered to him quietly, still trying to figure out her dilemma.
"You two are still together? What about Mr. Had Too Much To Drink in your bed?"
"Shut up! I've got him under the sheets just don't mention it, or I'll KILL you," she said, looking in his eyes.
"Whatever you say, Jin," he said, hysterically laughing.
"Jin, you there?" Darren called again, through the door.
"Go on, Jin, answer the door..." John Jr. said in an almost understanding voice. "...and let him find you with two guys in your apartment!" he cracked up, burying his face in a pillow. He began to nearly choke as he laughed so hard. Jinny threw a pillow at him, which made him laugh harder, and she opened the door with her best excited and unnervous look ever.
"Darren! You're back!" she cried, trying to make those words sound as if she was happy about it.

He jumped in her apartment, picked her up and swung her around several times.
"Oh, Jin, it feel so good to have you in my arms," he said, breathless with happiness. He hugged her tightly and didn't want to let go of her. Her skin was so smooth and soft and warm. Jinny could feel the change in his physicality. Though he had always been a strong man, with a thick body, she could feel that all around he was much harder, tighter, and more muscle encompased him. He looked in her eyes deeply then planted a kiss on her which more than made up for the time lost between them. When he was done, he breathed in and they both smiled, although Jinny could feel the persperation growing on her by the second.
Darren had heard someone laughing hysterically when he walked in, but it was just then that he turned around to see John Jr. "Oh, hi...you're Jinnys brother, right?" Darren said, pulling back and away from Jinny when he saw her brother there. "I hope," he added, laughing, not realizing he had reason for suspicion. She tried to laugh with him but then looked away with a worried expression.

John Jr. started giggling to himself then stopped when Jinny kicked his foot at the edge of the couch. "Ouch!" he cried, but still laughing. "Yeah, I'm John Jr., you're Darren, right?" he grunted, sitting up on the couch. He ran a hand through his long hair and over his unshaven cheeks.
"Yup, that's me, we met a few times...umm...may I ask why you're h-" he started, as politely as he could.
"He got thrown out of his apartment, so he asked to stay here," Jinny explained, holding onto Darren's arms, feeling how stiff and hard and rock like they had become over the training period.
"Oh, I see...well, good to see you again," Darren smiled. "Anyways," he started, looking back at her. "It's so good to see you! I couldn't believe they let me off! Ok, I have 3 days leave then..." and he stopped, looking back over at John Jr., who was intently listening to every word. "Umm...Jin, can we go in your room and talk?" he asked, looking back at her. She froze.

"Uhh..." Jinny started, drawing a blank.
"Sorry, no can do, pal," John Jr. said, standing up. Jinny looked at him surpsied. "As long as I'm here, I'd appreciate it if you two didn't screw each other in the next room. I wouldn't wanna pop in on something." Jinny looked at him with a 'What are you doing?' look, and he nodded back at her. She couldn't believe he was trying to help her out of this.
"Umm, it is Jinny's apartment, maybe she should decide what happens here...right, Jin?" Darren said, trying to be polite but the annoyance in his voice showing. He looked at Jin for affirmation.
"Uhh...maybe he's right, Darren...maybe we shouldn't..." she mumbled, quietly to him.
"Well, umm, OK..." Darren said, a bit confused. He'd always known Jinny to be a fighter and fight for what she wanted, and here her older brother was taking over and she didn't seem to mind. "Well, I want to talk to you privately anyways, so can we still go to your room?" He looked back at John Jr. "We won't...I promise."
"Hmm...naaah," John Jr. said. "Jin said I got the bed next and now that she's out, I'm in. Night!" he growled at them as he scratched his crotch then went in her bedroom and slammed the door, but not without looking back at his sister and nodding at her understandingly.

She wondered who had captured and replaced her brother. Maybe he had been in a similar circumstance and was feeling her pain. Still, what he'd just done was a rare show of his compassion, which she now recognized he must have.
"Hm, well, OK, I didn't know you let your brother push you around like that," Darren said confused.
"Well, he's had a bad day..." Jinny mumbled. "Anyways, now that we're alone," she smiled, stepping towards him.

He smiled back and pressed her close to him as he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her cheeks then lips. He put one arm under her back and another under her knees, and he carried her to the couch. He layed her down gently on the couch, and she had an immediate flashback, as that's exactly what Mr. Simmons had done not a few hours before. They gazed into the others eyes for a few moments. Then, feeling a surge of energy, Darren leaped onto the couch next to her, and he began laughing as he hugged her close to him and kissed the beck of her neck and lips. Somehow she couldn't let herself laugh or enjoy this. She was just about to tell him the truth when...

Darren interrupted her and said, "It feels good to touch you again, Jin." He wrapped his arms around her and nuzzled his warm face in her neck, kissing it. "I missed you so much," he said, quietly, letting each word savor on his mouth. After a moment he said, "Jin? You OK? You feel...I dunno...kinda tense," he said, feeling how stiff her body was.
"I'm OK," she said, letting out a small breath of air quickly.
"Hey, look at me," he smiled, turning her around so their bodies faced each other. He put a hand on her hair and smoothed it out then let it run along her face and cheek and chin... "I love you so much," he said, breathlessy. "And," he said, taking a deep breath and collecting himself. "I have a question to ask you."

Her heart jumped and felt like it was about to explode inside her throat. Was this THE question?
"Mmm, hmmm..." she murmured, trying to not let her voice sound as shaky as it felt.
He was about to ask when he saw how white and pale and terrified she looked. "Jin, you sure you're all right? You really don't look so good," he said, putting a hand on her forehead. "You do feel kinda hot...but then again, you are hott, so there's that reason," he joked, kissing her nose, trying to get her to loosen up. "Jin, what is it? You're completely tensed up and look petrified...umm...is it me? Did I do something?" he asked confused.
"No..." she said, looking down, feeling a wave of tears she resented rush to her eyes. 'I did something,' she thought. She didn't let any tears out but just looked down and tried to collect herself. "I'm fine," she said, looking back up and into his eyes. They were so loving and caring, what had she done to deserve them?
"OK, if you say so..." he said, understandingly. He put his arms around her again and pulled her in closer. He held her tightly, and she lightly kissed his cheeks and lips, deciding to let go of any fears, taking an attitude of what happens will happen, and I won't worry about it. She hoped she woudln't have to pay the consequences this time...

"So....I had a question," he said nervously, taking another deep breath.
"Mm, K, I'm listening," she smiled, kissing his nose. He closed his eyes and breathed her in and gathered his thoughts together.
"OK, Jinny, I love you, and I can't imagine one second without you being a part of my life and in my life and being the person I live for."
Jinny looked down and couldn't help but smile and feel tears break through her eyes. As tough and as guarded as she considered herself, utterances and expressions of love she always felt very deeply.
"I want you in my life forever...I want you to have my children..." Darren said, getting more excited as he expanded his thoughts. He put a hand on her cheek and stopped once and kissed her lips softly, closing his eyes tightly so he would remember this moment He broke away then said, in an ecstatic whisper, "I want us to be a family." "Jinny," he said, pausing again, "I want us to get married."

Before she could respond, Darren began his list of defensives. "Now I know we're young, and you're just starting college, and I'm gonna be in the Marines for the next 4 years, but...this feels right, Jinny. I don't want to run the risk of being away with the Marines in Timbuktoo and you meet some guy that's better than me." He looked down. Jinny felt her heart sink. How could he feel like SHE was too good for him? All the while she had Mr. flirty sex craved man who can't control his libido in her bedroom. She put a hand on his soft cheek, and she could detect a slight fuzz beginning to grow. She kissed his forehead in reassurance that he was plenty good for her...too good for her... "I know it's childish and stupid to think that way, I guess, and to let my fear of that grow, but I just want you to be mine," he said, looking in her beautiful face. "And I want to be yours," he added.

She took another deep breath and looked down at her hand as he put his hand over hers, the whole time thinking what she'd done with Mr. Pants on Fire in the last few hours. He clasped her hand on both of his then and rubbed it warmly. She began to think his same thoughts. How could she imagine a second without him? How could she imagine having anyone else's children? How could she not see herself with him always? The thought first struck her. She DID want to marry Darren. She took a gulp then thought about all her fears: not being faithful, hence Mr. Rock-Hard-Abs-That-Is-Going-To-Ruin-Everything in her room, not being a good wife, not being a good mother, and these fears withheld her from a positive 'yes.'
"So? What do you think, Jin?" he prodded, wanting to hear her say on all this. "I know it's sudden, and we have a lot to discuss, but how does the idea grab you?"
"It's a big concept..." was all she could mutter. "I think that...no, I KNOW that I love you, and I do want to be with you the rest of my life-"
"But?" he asked, waiting for the punchline.
"But I'm not sure I'm right for you," she said, sniffing, feeling her nose begin to drizzle.
"Jin, we are a perfect couple. We compliment each other, we love each other, same interests..."
"I mean that you..." she paused, "could do a lot better."
"I could do a lot better? No, Jin, YOU'RE the one who could do better. I openly admit I'm not a perfect guy, and I have my fears and inadequacies, but Jin, I know we both love each other, and that's all that matters, isn't it?" He looked in her eyes for her opinion on that and put a hand on her neck and rubbed it.
"Love is an important thing, yes..." she started, and he giggled a bit. "But I don't know if I could be a good wife to you...or a good mother..."
"Jinny, no one was born a good wife or mother, it's just something ya hafta do. I don't know how I'm gonna be as a husband, I've never done it before," he joked. "But for you, Jin, I'm willing to find out." He leaned into her to see into her face and its expression. She still looked very afraid of something, and as of yet, he hadn't gotten it out of her. "OK, Jin, what's up?" he said, resting his head on his elbow. "You've been nervous and frightened ever since I walked in the room, what's going on?"

She looked into his eyes with wide, open eyes. She wanted to tell him so badly, but the risk was so high. She hated having to continue in a relatiuonship with a secret on her part. but there was no one to blame for that but herself. With other boyfriends, cheating would likely not have ever been something that concerned her. She figured they probably cheated on her also anyways, but Darren was differnet. This man loved her, for who she was and what she stood for, and for everything that was Jinny Exstead, and she knew it would break his heart to find out. She couldn't do that to him. For now, she'd have to keep her mouth silent.
"I'm OK," she said. "I've been...just...not feeling well lately. Think I'm coming down with something," she covered, placing a hand on her forehead pretending to feel her temperature.
"Ya sick? Awww, poor, baby," he said, sympathetically, bringing her closer to him and kissing her forehead and holding her gently. He slowly lifted her up so he was laying on the sofa, and she was lying on top of him, her head resting on his chest. His care and love and sympathy made her feel all the worse. "You taking anything for it?" he asked, after a moment, straightening out her hair.
"Umm...not yet..." she said, now really beginning to feel sick from guilt and thinking about Mr. Can't-Get-Any-So-He-Has-To-Hit-On-His-Students. She closed her eyes and wrapped her hands around his neck and breathed in his cotton uniform. It smelled of just having been washed only hours before, still fresh from the dryer.
"Maybe ya just need some sleep," Darren said, reaching and turning off the light. He kissed her hair then whispered, "Night, Jin." Just as they had snuggled to go to sleep and Jinny was beginning to think she might actually be able to get some sleep this night, a ruckus arose from her bedroom, and her eyes flew open.

"Hey, could ya quit your snoring?! Who in h-ll are you anyways?" Jinny and Darren heard Mr. Simmon's cracking and and angry voice shout. He was grumpy with a hang-over and obviously didn't remember much. Jinny could hear her brother shhhing him and telling him to be quiet.
Darren's eyebrows furrowed, and he looked at Jinny confused. "That doesn't sound like your brother's voice."
Jinny, with eyes wide open, tried to find the words. One thing she'd never been was a good lyer, at least not when it came to someone she loved so dearly. At least if she didn't outright lie about it, he could never acuse her of that, just not telling him the WHOLE truth.
"OK, what is it, Jinny? What's going on?" he said, feeling a rush of expectant curiosity overwhelm him. Something wasn't right. He looked at her expactantly and waited for an explanation. He grabbing onto her arms tightly and said, "C'mon, Jin, what is it?" He seemed more confused than angry or suspicious.

Before Jinny could try to answer, Mr. Gimme-Gimme-Some-Lovin-And-Afterwards-Gimme-Gimme-Some-Chicken burst out of her bedroom and yelled, "Don't tell me to be quiet!" back at John. He then came out and he held his head tenderly and groaned and seemed to be looking around for something.
"Who the h-ll are you?!" Darren yelled angrily, seeing the obviously hung-over man enter from her bedroom. Jinny felt her breathing change to a strange and unpatternized type and her heartrate about doubled.

Mr. Mr.-Chavis-All-Over-Again rubbed his head and squinted at Darren. "I'm Jay...I think..." he moaned, the pain of the hangover dulling his memory skills.
"OK, Jay, or whoever you are, WHY are you here would be my next question!" Darren yelled, moving Jinny off him and sitting up straight on the couch. She sat up straight and held her arms as it was cold and all she had on was her bathrobe. But it wasn't the temperature that was making her shake.
Mr. Simmons ignored him, except to say, "Could ya keep it down?" in a whisper. He graoned somemore and held his head.

"Why is he here, Jin?!" Darren shouted, looking at her. He didn't want to think what seemed fairly obvious, and he was willing to hear an explanation before blowing up. "Well?!" he repeated, when she didn't say anything. "Jinny, now, I'm trying not to think the worst...but it's getting harder and harder, especially with how you've been acting..."

Just then John Jr. ran out of the bedroom. "Jay, I found your socks, here they are, I'll take ya home now," he said, trying to lead him out of the apartment. Jinny looked at her brother and hoped he could dig her out of this one, too.
"Hm?" Mr. Simmons asked, squinting at him in the dark, grabbing his socks back.
"Time to go home!" John Jr. shouted.
"Ehhh...OK," Jay moaned, holding his stomach.
"Nobody has answered my question yet!" Darren shouted, standing up.
"What question might that be?" John Jr. asked him, getting in his face to intimidate him away, but Darren was not easily intimidated.
"I wanna know what this guy is doing here, simple question," Darren said, with cooled anger, looking in John Jr.'s eyes. Jinny stood up behind Darren and begged her brother him with her eyes to get her out of this.
"OK, look, I didn't want anyone to know," John Jr. started, getting an idea. "But as it appears, you've just ruined that for me!" he said, pretending to be furious.
"What?!" Darren said, looking at him, feeling the most confused he'd ever felt in his life. "What is he talking about, Jin?" Darren asked, looking back at her. She shrugged her shoulders then stepped more forward and took a hold of one of Darren's hands and rubbed a few of his fingers.
"Jay and I...are seeing each other," he said, putting a hesitant arm around Jay.

He made a disgusted face, like he was going to throw up then took a deep breath and said, "Yeah. That's it, we're seeing each other."
Jay looked at him confused. "Huh?" he asked still holding his head.
"We might as well go public with it, Jay, no point in hiding it if we've been forced to come out."
"Come out? Whaaaaat?" Mr. Simmons asked, pulling his shoes on after he'd put on the sock John Jr. had found. Though he was hungover, the numbing of alcohol was still prevalent in his body and his thought proccesses were not back to normal.
"You two are...seeing each other?" Darren clarified, pointing a finger back and forth from Jay to John Jr.
"Yes," John Jr. quickly answered. "Well, now that you've ruined our whole evening, we'll leave. Come on, Jay," John grunted, wanting to get out of there as soon as possible.
"Coming, dear," Mr. Simmons said, deciding to play along. He was still somewhat drunk and decided in his mind that somehow this would all make sense in the morning.
Jinny mouthed, "Thank you," to her brother as they left and John Jr. just glared at her and shook his head.

After they left, Darren looked back at Jinny and said, "Wow...I...uhhh...I never knew about...your brother...ya know...being-"
"Yeah...it came as a shock to all of us," she said. She could now breathe a sigh of relief. Mr. Simmons was long gone and hopefully never to be heard from again, except for the fact that he was her English teacher for the semester. "Well, now that we have my apartment to ourselves," she said, putting her arms around his neck and looking at him sexily. She moved her body into the grooves of his and tried to turn this evening into one with at least one good memory.

He dropped his confused look and smiled at her. "Now it all makes sense...I admit, Jin, I was worried for a minute there," he laughed. Just then the phone rang. Jinny looked over at it then said to Darren, "I'll get that while you go warm up the bed, k?"
"OK, I will," he said, returning her sexy gazes. He French kissed her and ran his hands over her sides and down her legs then slapped her butt, then he went to her bedroom. She could now breathe normally again, and she answered her phone.
"Exstead."
"You owe me, Jin," John Jr. sneered into the phone. "You owe me BIG TIME."

Jinny laughed to herself and assured him she would pay him back whenever he needed her. Filled with a new admiration for her brother, she hung up the phone after their conversation, then remembered a certain person was warming up a certain bed for her. She grinned and walked towards her room and as she entered it, she grinned even more to see Darren, ready and waiting. She walked towards him slowly, and took off her bathrobe on her way. She eased under the covers with him and graciously submitted underneath him as she "welcomed" him home.

As though this night would never end, at 5 am, Jinny woke up for no apparent reason, with Darren's arms wrapped around her middle, as he lay in back of her. The twitch her body had made as she woke up, shook Darren slightly, and she heard him sigh as his eyes opened, too. They looked at each out of the corners of their eyes and smiled. He leaned in and kissed her cheek then, as she turned and faced him, kissed her lips as well.
"So what do you think about the whole marriage thing?" he asked her, tentavily, trying to not pressure her, but get an honest answer.
"Darren, I don't think 5 am is the time to talk about it," she laughed.
"Yeah..." he sighed. "Jin, I really want to marry you," he cooed in her ear, then giving her a wet one on her neck.
"Naaaaah, you just want free dibs on my neck," she joked.
"Jin, I'm serious, you don't think that's why I love you, do you?" he asked, hurt.
She hadn't meant to hurt him. "I was just kidding, babe," she said, quietly.
"Jinny, I really love you, how can you think I want you just because of your body or sex? Is that the only reason you think I'm with you?"
"Darren, I was kidding, it was a joke!" she said, a bit too loud.
"It wasn't funny," he muttered, under his breath, deeply hurt.
"Darren," she paused. "I know you love me for who I am...God only knows why you do...but I know you do."
"Then why won't you marry me?!" he shouted, upset. He sat up in bed, folded his arms, and looked at her for an answer.
"I don't want to get married now, OK?!" she yelled back, sitting up also and looking at him directly.
"Jinny, if you loved me and felt the same way about me as I feel about you, you would. Now just be honest with me and tell me whatever it is that's keeping you back!! Just let me down easy now before things go too far!"
"Darren, just because I love you, and I do, doesn't mean it's the right time for us to get married! OK?! I need more confidence in myself before I can step out on that limb," she said, hanging her head in deep thought.
"Well, Jin, I've been waiting, I told ya how I felt last year, and I'll wait somemore, but if all you want out of this relationship is for me to come home once in a while, we do it a couple times, then I leave, I'm sorry, Jin, but I want more."

Jinny slid down in the bed, not wanting to hafta deal with this new pressure.
Darren put his hand, which was rough and knobby from training, over hers, feeling how soft and small in comparison it was. "Jin, I just want to have that committment with you. I know we're committed now and all, but marriage is an eternal thing, and I want that with you."
"I know..." she whispered, feeling tears well up in her eyes. "I just...I'm not ready..." she mumbled, looking away.
"OK, Jin...but please, be thinking about. Cause I don't want to be wasting my time."
"What does that mean? Without some ring, being with me is a waste of time?!" she yelled, angrily.
"No, I don't mean it like that, I just mean that if we're not gonna end up together as in getting married, it sort of is a waste of time if we both know we're gonna end up with separate people."
"Anytime you are with someone you love, it's NOT a waste of time," she said, firmly.
"Jin, I mean...oh, c'mon, you know what I mean...I'd just hate to invest all this time with you and get closer and closer and then end up apart."
"Me, too..." she said, realizing his point.
"Then why won't you marry me?" he pressed, scooting closer to her. He put an arm around her shoulders and looked at her soft cheeks in the moonlight.
"I told you, I'm just...not ready..."
"OK," he sighed, obviously unhappy but willing to move on.
"Ya know what, quit sighing, if you're mad about something just say it and don't keep sighing and pouting like some little boy!" she yelled, annoyed.
"Hey, I'm just trying to be understanding here, Jin, that's all."
"Understanding of what? Me? And the inconceiveable fact that I actually am not jumping for joy to marry you? Is that sooo hard to believe?!"
"Whoa, Jin, calm down, if anyone should be mad here, it's me! I am willing to take that step of marriage for you, and I come back and confess my love for you, and what do I get? Some wishy washy scared response!" Darren took a breath to calm down. "Jin, if I had known talking about marriage was gonna stir things up between us like this, I would have never mentioned it," he said, through gritted teeth.
They sat in silence for a moment then Jinny turned away from him and lied back down and said, "Like I said, 5 am isn't the time to discuss this."

Jinny heard Darren shake his head and slide back down under the covers. He turned so his back was to her back and they lay there, looking in opposite directions, thinking.
Darren had been so excited. He'd planned it out in his mind. He'd say the word marriage, she'd say yes and before the night was over, they'd be husband and wife. Well, things hadn't gone according to plan.
Jinny hated added pressure and stress. Marriage to Darren was one of the furthest things from her mind. She loved him with all her heart, but yet still, couldn't trust herself enough to take the transition from girlfriend to wife with him. Why coudln't he understand that? She knew why. Though she'd been usually honest with him, sometimes she didn't always tell her true and full feelings. She often felt he could see through her anyways. But that was proven untrue that night when he hadn't suspected her of the cheating which she'd actually done. Neither slept well, if at all, and when 7 am rolled around Jinny quickly got up, if only to end that horrible night and begin a new day.

She got out of bed quickly, picked out her clothes for work that day and headed to the shower, without a glance over at Darren. Her schedule worked so that she had classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, allowing her to work the other days. She heard Darren get out of bed also and quickly slammed her bathroom door. Even though she wasn't exactly angry, and she did want to make up, something in her, most likely pride, wouldn't allow to her to admit that she was maybe wrong and she also wanted to kiss and make-up, in no particular order.
She heard Darren kick something, then she turned on the water for the shower and waited till it was nice and hott. She stepped in and took her shower, all the while running their fight over from last night, along with all the other happenings of last night. Jinny stepped out of her shower, dried herself off with a towel and shook her wet hair. She wrapped the towel around her then stepped out of the bathroom. She took a breath then walked into her room and began to dress into the jeans and T-shirt she'd chosen for the day. She didn't look up when Darren walked past her and into the bathroom where he began shaving. The scent of his shaving lotion made her want to go in there and apologize and end the fight, but her pride held her back. Why coudln't she just let herself be vulnerable to a person? Someone she knew loved her and wouldn't use it against her? But old wounds leave scars that sometimes never heal and the wound of her mother leaving her had left such a deep scar that she often wondered if that pain and tramau would every leave her. After getting dressed and having done a lot of thought, she stepped out of her room and decided to just let her guard down. This was Darren, not some enemy. She walked into the closed bathroom door. She looked at the closed door, bit her lip then knocked lightly on the door.
"Yeah?" she heard Darren say, after cutting the shaver.
"Darren...I'm sorry." She looked up to avoid an overflow of tears, which she felt coming. She held them back and took several deep breaths as she waited for an answer. She saw the door open slowly, and Darren's understanding face peeked back at her. He was surpressing a smile and looked at her with those eyes which accepted her from beginning to end, and saw past the muck and trash she'd been through, to the real Jinny Exstead, the scared, insecure, lonely, desperate Jinny Exstead. He let his smile show and held out his hand, to which she placed hers in. He opened the door wider and pulled her in the bathroom and into him, embracing her with such warmth, she couldn't help but be overcome by this man's compassion and love for her. The thought arose to her: did she want to marry him? Could she? She was of legal age, they'd been together for years, understood each other through and through, what more did she need?

aahhhhh, making up...best part of a fight...LOL

He took a towel and wiped her cheeks off then took a breath and said, "Jin, try and understand, ok?" He looked in her eyes and made the connection that always brought them closer. "Guys see things in the big picture, OK? We don't deal with now, we think of down the line and in the future. I am looking at the big picture of my life, and I want you to be part of my life forever. Women work well with details and doing many things at once and dealing with the present, and you're looking at your life as it is right now. I guess we're just not seeing eye to eye cause our perspectives and range of scope are different."
Jinny looked down and thought about all he said. She then looked up to him and smirked, "Those Marine people teaching you all those fance words, huh?"

He laughed then looked back at her. "Jin, just think about it. I'll try not to push or pressure or anything, but just...think about it...I already said that didn't I?" he laughed.
"Yes, you did," she mumbled, laughing.
He put his hand on her neck and caressed it with his thumb. "I understand you're scared, but I'm right here, marriage isn't an individual effort, ya know? I'll be there right with ya through the whole thing," he joked.
She nodded and smiled. He leaned in and kissed her lips softly, nibbling at her bottom lip for a few moments. He rubbed her back and assured her with every move he made that he loved her.
"So what do ya want for breakfast?" she asked.
"I want you with me for breakfast, lunch, dinner for the rest of my life." He blushed then said, "Oh, that's right, I said I wouldn't press...."
"Yeah, you did," she laughed. He locked his arms behind her waist and held her close to him.
"So you have work when?" he asked, to get off the marriage subject.
"8," she moaned.
"OK, whoa," he said, looking at his watch. "It's 7:30 already, I'll make you breakfast," he smiled.
"Oh, well, thank you," she said, impressed. A man who would make her breakfast? How could she not marry him? He made her some scrambled eggs and heated up a few frozen sausages, and they talked. He got a chance to tell her all about how his training was going and a few stories about some of the guys or circumstances, which had risen during training.
She dashed off to the Division where she would do more clerical work, answering phones, filing papers, familiarizing herself with many of the other Inspectors, patrol officers, Leuitenants, and the Captain. The current Captain was a gruff old man of 72, who the state and everyone had been trying to get out of office for years, but the old giezer wouldn't retire. There was an up and coming luetenant named Robert Holdem, who everyone guessed was likely going to be their next Captain. Jinny would come to know him VERY well also... *ahem...LOL*

While Jinny was working around 3, she had just put down the phone after making a call when the phone rang immediately. She sighed and answered. "San Fransisco Police Division."
"Hi, Jin?" a familiar voice said.
"Yeah, hi, dad," she said, surprised he was calling her. She smiled and wondered why he had called her at work.
"Jin, I had to tell ya, I have the best news!"
"What is it, dad?" she asked, interested.
"Casey just came home from school, you're not gonna believe it," he said, barely able to contain his excitement.
"What happened?' she asked, jumping out of her skin to find out.
"Casey has a girlfriend!"

"Casey, having a girlfriend isn't the worst thing in the world," she laughed.
"Not for everyone..."
"So who is she?" Jinny asked, having to drag any detail out of him. She knew it woudn't be long until some girl took a liking to him, he was cute and sweet-natured, after all.
"Jessica Alden," he moaned again.
"Oh, does she have an older brother?" Jinny asked. "Jack Alden? I think he was in my class...Oh, wait, I think I know her. He had her come in once for something. She's pretty," Jinny smiled.
"Yeah, I guess..."
"Cas, here's some advice from a woman and what she wants to hear...tell her she's beautiful and get her flowers and-"
"Jinny, all we're doing is going to a movie together tomorrow night, nothing big..."
"Dad made it sound like you're going out."

"Bye," she said, to herself, wondering what would ever become of her little brother in the romance area of life. She'd wondered about certain possibilities, but never had given too much though to the idea...

She was jolted back to reality when her phone rang again, as in 3 times in a row.
"San Francisco Police Department."
"Hi, Jin...it's...John," her older brother said, between laughs. He was cracking up about something, and she guessed she was about to findout what it was.
"Hi, John," she groaned. "What under heaven is making you laugh like that?"
"Hey, Jin, remember how you owe me big time after what I did for you when mr pants-always-open-for-a-free-tour-call-1-800-PIMP-DADDY showed up?"
"Mm, hmm...how could I forget?" she said, in dread, fearing where this was going.
"I found a way for you to pay me back," he grinned into the phone, laughing his head off.

Jinny groaned again. "You would be pimping out our grandmother if you had the chance, wouldn't you?" she said, angrily and disgusted into the phone.

"OK," she sighed, shaking her head. "But that'll make us even, right?"

Mandi laughed and finished filing her papers then started on the office gossip.

Mandi laughed to herself then the two went back to work. Jinny went home that night to find Darren sprawled across her couch. She laughed and shook her head and put all her stuff down. She let out a deep breath as she sat on the edge of the couch, where his feet were. He woke up and they talked somemore, watched some TV and cuddled, enjoying the few precious moments they were going to have together till Darren had to go back to the Marines. But in the back of both of their minds was one word, one concept, one thing: marriage. Jinny viewed it as such a high and hard step she would have to be sure beyond a shadow of a doubt this man was the man for her. And she still wasn't sure if that's what she felt with Darren. She would be quite comfortable to go on for years in a relationship like this, only without the pressure he'd just put on. It was one of the few times she'd ever wanted out of their relationship. They'd had disagreements in the past, but that's all they were: disaggreements, not fights or arguments. They were both reasonable enough of people to agree to disagree. Even though they may not share the same views on something, they didn't let it rip them apart.

Two days later Darren had to leave for the Marine recruiting station where he and others would be picked up and driven back to camp for several more months worth of training. He had just gotten all his stuff together when she came into the bedroom and wrapped her arms around his waist from behind and rested her cheek against his back.
"I'm gonna miss you," she said, quietly, holding onto him tightly. He stood up straight and put his arms over hers and looked down. He brought one of her hands to his mouth and kissed it gently on her wrist then each finger.
"I'm gonna miss you, too, Jin," he said. He turned around, and she kept her arms around his waist as he did so. He hugged her and held her close, trying to remember how it felt with her in his arms for those long, hard days when his muscles would ache, and he would be dying to feel her touch.
"Write me, OK?" she said, looking up at him.
"I will, and I'll call when I can." He took a deep breath then kissed her lips softly. She turned it up a few notches, but he broke it off quickly and stepped away.
"What?" she asked.
"I don't want enjoy it too mcuh, or they'll never get me to leave," she said, sadly, looking to the ground.
"Hey, you'll get leave again soon," she said, trying to cheer him up.
"Yeah, you're right," he said. He took her in his arms again and this time returned the passionate kiss. He took a breath and leaned back, feeling sweat form on his upper lip. "I'd better stop before I get too...uhm...what's the word? Excited?" he laughed. She put a hand to his face and softly caressed his cheek. He put his hand over hers and brought hers over his mouth and he kissed her palm. "Be thinking about what I said, OK?" he said, looking in her eyes.
She nodded, also looking eeply in his eyes. "I will."
"Good," he whispered. He loked at his watch and sighed. "I'll see ya, Jin, soon." He hugged her once more and kissed her neck lightly a few times. He turned around and walked out her door, as she felt the need to cry, but no tears came. For the one time in her life when crying would have actually been appropriate, she couldn't feel them come...her attention then turned to what she had to do the following night. She rolled her eyes just thinking about her brother and found a costume she could wear. She knew she didn't need to practice, she'd been practicing all her life... She then decided to just go to bed, catch up on some sleep, she was tired anyways. Just thinking about what she was going to do the next evening exhausted her.

Jinny went to her classes the next day, Friday, and finished off her first week of college with all her homework done and with every teacher's admiration. Mr. Simmons had called her after class on Wednessday, and she had to explain to him what all happened, he'd been too drunk to remember any of it. She explained a version of it that would satisfy him then reminded him of her boyfriend when he began making more advancements. He quickly got the message that that was not a position she wanted to be in any time soon. She returned home, threw a TV dinner in her microwave and watched TV till her wild evening would begin...

hehe, I haven't given ya the whole synop like I have everyone else....LOL, K, dis is what I'm trying to do, show Jinny's life from her mom's suicide till the day B4 the first eppy we saw of The Division...so I can't really match her with a Mr. Right, cause The Division hasn't yet, and they're taking it where I'm gonna leave off...did that make sense? She pulled up to his apartment, parked, then walked up the steps and reached his apartment number. She could already hear the party had started as she knocked on the door. She knocked louder to be heard over the loud music blasting.
"HEY! OPEN UP OR YOUR STRIPPER'S GOING HOME!!" she yelled. The door quickly opened and John Jr. grinned.
"Ready?" he asked, as she trudged in. "Hey, guys!! She's here!!" he shouted, happily. The 18 men there all screamed in delight and clapped. "C'mon, who says Johnny doesn't come through?" They all cheered him on as she rolled her eyes at the male species.
"Let's get this party started!" one particulraily fat guy shouted, as he oggled her over with his eyes, and she could see every man undressing her already with their eyes.

"OK, Jin," he said, pulling her aside. "There's the table," he said, pointing, "here's the stereo, just press play number 5, and do your thing till they're all on the floor having orgasms, then run and leave before they try anything."

"She's here now, c'mon, baby," she said, still in her whiney voice, chewing on his ear. Jinny watched as the woman's fingers made a beeline for her brother's pants zipper.
"Yeah, OK, Erica, be there in a minute," he said, kissing her once then turning back to Jinny, as the woman sauntered back to the bedroom. "OK, so I'll be in there if ya need anything."
"What, you wanna miss my show?" she said, sarcastically, rolling her eyes.
"Heck no, I don't wanna see my sister strip, bye, Jin," he said, nearly running to his bedroom, where Erica was waiting.

Jinny would never figure her brother out. At times, it almost seemed like he cared about her, and other times, she thought he wouldn't even blink if he found out she'd fallen off the face of the earth.
She sighed and nodded then looked at the group of men taking discreet glances at her and her assets.
'Might as well get this over with,' she said, taking a breath. She went to his bathroom and changed out of her sweats then looked in the full-length mirror. She shook her head as she looked at her thin body, only covered by a black bra and thong. She then put a a man's white shirt on, which made the black bra underneath very obvious, and some tight slacks, she figured the less she had to actually strip and take off, the less time this ordeal would take. She swallowed then stepped out of the bathroom and headed down the hall, then reached the living room.
"ALL RIGHT!!!" "OW, MOMMA!" "Hey, she's starting!" they each yelled. She got up on the long table to shouts and cheers then nodded at the guy near the stereo. He grinned and started the music, then with her back to the men, the show began.

hehe, more day after tomorrow, cause tomorrow Imma be gone ALL day, and get in at 11 pm, which is like 1 am and 2 am where all you peeps are...hehe, bye!

haha, guys, I didn't get home till 10:30 last night from the choir festival (WE ROCKED, BTW!! The judges tapes are all like cool...hehe, they were all impressed...WHOOHOOOOO!!!) and then I had to do history notes, then I missed 2nd period today doing a French project...hehe, but I'm back and posting...LOL, so here's more!

The music began, and though she wondered what song it would be, she shouldn't have. It was one of John's favorites: a very sexy, provacative beat that she knew was going to turn every man on that was watching. She took a breath and began moving to the music. She started in on the small, suttle moves she knew would please the crowd, and save the wild ones for later. She turned around and faced her male audience after the first 30 seconds then poised her fingers to undo her first button on the man's shirt she had on. But she was only teasing them and quickly withdrew her hand from her shirt, not undoing anything. The men howled and cheered as she began moving even more. She looked over to find the birthday boy, the one who her brother had made her promise to do a special show for. She found him, assuming he was the one with the birthday hat on that said, "Birthday Boy." She gave him a few sizzling glances and luckily, he wasn't so bad looking, for one of her brother's friends anyway. She continued to entice them with more moves then finally brought her fingers to her top button, this time undoing it. The crowd cheered even more, and she could see men putting their drinks down to clap and raise their hands in the air to her. She did the second button also, trying to speed things up. The shouts got louder and more provocative. One man reached his hand out to her and grabbed her arm.

"Give it to me, baby!" he shouted, at her, grinning.
She shook his hand off and continued. She then turned their attention to her slacks, which she unzipped the zipper off quickly and moved her hips in an appealing way that got their attention and the slacks off. The hollered even more.

"MORE, BABY!" "Over here, hunny!!!" She decided to give these men what they came for. What could she lose? She was as low and humiliated as they come already. She moved even more to the music and shook everything she could. She finally got her shirt off, and the REAL hollwering began. She could see every man drooling over everything she did. She decided to focus her attention on the birthday boy. She looked over at him, and all the men could see where she was going. She got down on her knees on the table and began dancing up to him. She put her arms out for him and pulled him on top of her on the table. He gladly climbed on top of her, and she stood to her feet and danced for him as he remained sitting on the table, looking up at her. She put a hand out and got him up and dancing with her. She got quite close and they began to grind while the other men drooled and envied him. But then things began to get out of hand.

Two guys leaped onto the table and one pushed the birthday boy off the table, making him fall to the ground on his side. The other one got in front of her and began dancing with her and running his hands everywhere on her body. The one who had pushed the birthday boy off got in back of her and danced with her. She looked for a way out between the two, but there was none. One was caressing her butt from behind, while the other was caressing her frontal assets, and she was stuck.

He stepped back then stepped forward more aggressively, thinking she was playing some sort of game. She stepped on the guy's toes behind her and he grabbed around her even harder, also thinking she was toying with him, locking his hands over her belly. The guy behind her then started unfastening her bra as the guy in front of her was trying to get through her underwear. She realized this was serious and they weren't taking no for an answer. She put her karate skills to work and kicked the guy's side who was in front of her then turned her leg directly behind her and kicked the guy who was behind her, his crotch. Each guy shrieked in pain and she was soon freed. She started to run off the table, but was stopped by 3 men, one especially large one, coming at her and blocking her from exiting down the table.

The large one stepped out in front of the others, grinned and put his large hands on her shoulders, firmly preventing her from getting away. She tried another karate move of ducking then twisting the guy's arm behind him, but he was also well versed in karate and he quickly applied the counteract move and caught her right back so he had her arms firmly tensed in his grab. The sheer strength of his grip on her arms told her this was a pretty powerful man and it would take some swift and crafty moves to escape him.
"Get your &%%$#%$& hands off me," she sneered, angrily, looking in his eyes, as she tried another karate move on him, but was again, countered and back in her previous position.
"No, sister, we're gonna get what we came for. Well, I am anyways, I dunno about the rest of these losers," he said, looking around.
"Sure ya don't wanna include yourself in that last category?" she smirked.
He sneered at her and intensified his grip on her, bringing her closer and tighter to him. He pushed her chest up next to his as he wrapped one large arm all the way around her back, holding her tightly up close to him, and he reached behind her and undid her bra.

It was hopeless, 18 men to her, the odds weren't in her favor. But it wasn't ALL 18 against her.

Out of the cheers of the men and the sexual actions going on, one man shouted, "STOP!!!" The volume of his voice made every man stop what he was doing. Jinny saw men being pushed out of the way as the man who'd yelled was parting the sea and coming to her. Once it was cleared, and he was standing over her, she opened her eyes and took in his face, a face she knew very well. "DARREN!"

She blinked to make sure it was really him. He didn't look happy, and it didn't look like it was because of these men's treatment of her. He just shook his head and had a sad look on his face. He held out his hand for her to take, and she immediately took it and stood up, but his hand was so cold, so hard, she felt something was differnet. He looked away, not because he had never seen her naked before, but certainly not in front of other people. He shoved a blanket towards her, which she put around and over herself. All was silence. The men had, despite less than evolutionary brainpower, conferred that these two must know each other, and they all knew not to mess with some other guy's girlfriend. He put a stiff arm around her shoulders and led her out the front door.
"Wait...my stuff is in the bathroom..." she mumbled to herself.
"We'll get it later," he said, through gritted teeth. He looked back at the men and sneered at their unimpinged carnal natures, which were taking advantage of his girlfriend. They exited out the door, and he led her, with a firm hand on her shoulder, to his car. He opened the door for her, waited for her to get in, closed the door shut, not a definite slam, but with more force than necessary. He got in the driver's side, started the ignition, as Jinny waited for him to explain what he was doing there.
"I'm going to drive us to your apartment, then you are going to come clean with me," he said, looking straight ahead towards the road. Before she could say anything, he said, with a firm tone, "And DON'T tell me you don't know what I'm talking about, cause you do, Jin."

She looked down and realized he must have found out about her and Mr. Simmons. She bit her upper lip and looked out her window. 'I've really done it this time...'
After five minutes in silence, Darren said, "Don't you have anything to say to me, Jin? An explanation? A reason? A plea for forgiveness?! Do you have any idea how much it hurts to find out from other people that your girlfriend is sleeping with her English teacher?!! Good God, and it was only the first day of school!!" He slammed his hand into the steering wheel angrily then parked abruptly in front of her building and got out of the car, this time slamming his door. She stepped out also, breathed in and felt the tears come. They walked along in silence, her still with only a blanket on, till they reached her apartment, stepped in, and closed the door. Darren made his way to her couch and looked at her expectantly.

"That sure is comforting, Jin, I mean, from the looks of it, it doesn't seem to matter to you whos feelings you hurt," he said, looking right at her, deeply wounded.
"I know I deserve that," she said, after a moment.
"That isn't all you deserve," he muttered, angrily, tensing his fists.

She sank into a chair, and pulled her blanket up over her.
Darren's face fell, and it looked like he wanted to cry also. "Why, Jin? What did I ever do to you to make you do this?! I wanted to marry you for God's sake!! That's why I kept asking you to marry me! I thought maybe if I laid the pressure on so hard, you might crack, and I could at least make myself think in my mind it was just like hearing it from you first and not be so angry with you."
"Who told you?" she whispered, as the tears fell down her cheeks.
"Oh, Jin, c'mon, how dumb do you think I am? I asked John about him being homosexual, and he started laughing and told me the whole thing. I wasn't even gonna believe him, but he told me you owed him after what he'd said for you, so you had to strip for that party. I STILL didn't believe him, so I told him I'd be at the party to see with my own eyes that this was all true. G-d, Jinny," he said, shaking his head. "Like your brother's gay, ha! You don't think for one second I believed that crap!"
"Gotta admire the effort," she said, trying to lighten things up. But that set him off on a rage she'd envisioned would happen if he found out.
"The EFFORT? Your EFFORT to hurt me and ruin us, after all I have done for you!! I have loved you and cared for you and listened to you and put up with you being drunk and flirting with other guys and dealing with all your problems, I really wanted to help you, Jinny, but you screwed that up, too!!!"
"You wanted to HELP me?" she said, angrily, standing up. "Am I just a CAUSE to you? The Save Jinny Exstead fund you've contributed to that will go on your college applications as volunteer work?! What the h-ll do you think I am? I'm a person, and pardon me, but I've had to deal with a lot of the crap in this world, so gimme a break and let me try and deal with it on my own! I don't need any help from you!!" He shook his head and started to walk out when she yelled, "And what the h-ll are you doing out of the Marines anyways?! You lied to me, too!!"
"I asked for some special time off, and luckily, our supervisor had had a few girlfriend problems like mine and understood. It appears there's quite a few of you cheaters walking around!" he yelled back, his eyes larger than she'd ever seen them, with more hurt and anger also.
"Us cheaters?! Oh, I get my own category now, huh?! Well, let's put you in a category, the one where sneaking behind your girlfriend's back and not trusting her and asking her brother about her are the requirements!!"
"Oh, that's beautiful, Jin, as always, you've turned this argument into making me feel guilty about something I don't deserve, well, I have HAD IT, Jin, so ya know what? You deal with your life, hope ya find some sucker willing to put up with this, but thanks for wasting 3 years of my time!!" he shouted, heading for the door.
"Anytime, oh, and Darren, hey, if you see the idiot who referred you to me to do a little charity work, tell him I don't need any more of his help, OK?!" she said, sarcastically. "Goodbye!" she yelled.
He sneered at her and walked out of her apartment and her life forever.

She sank again into her chair, breathing loudly and angrily. She was angry at herself for her mistakes, angry at John for telling Darren, angry at Darren for thinking of her as a needy person he could help... She knew she'd screwed up, and as the tears flowed down her cheeks and ran off her chin, she relived every memory of theirs, every touch, every kiss, every soft discussion she and Darren had ever had. Over. The whole thing was over. No marriage. No love. No Darren. She wiped her face and eyes and felt her heart sink deeper and deeper into a seemingly endless pit which there was no way out of and which seemed black all around her. She stood up from her chair, instinctively grabbed a bottle of Vodka and ran to her bed, where she collapsed, physically and emotionally into one heaping, drunken wreck.

But as is this case with all situations and circumstance, negative or positive, enjoyed or dreaded, life does go on. The weekend passed, with Jinny staying her bed and weeping, reliving her life with Darren over and over, and also thinking of the one they woudlnt be sharing in the future. She imagine their beautiful children theyd talked of having that they would never have now. She imagined the life they would lead as husband and life which was now impossible. She drank more and more and deadened the pain more and more, till no memory was left and no thought could even find the process of being, making it impossible for her to feel pain or guilt.

When Monday's rays of promising sunshine filled her room, Jinny was completely wasted on her bed. Only the sound of her phone's loud ring woke her up eventually, and even then, she was hardly awake. Seeing every object and its color blend together and not having any recollection of anything, her fingers found her phone and she picked it up and said, "Yeah?" not remembering proper telephone courtesys.
"Jin?"
"Hi, dad," she groaned. "Whaaaaaat's happening?" she slurred, still on an elated high from the alcohol. She hadn't lett the alcohol wear off for her to get down, but instead she kept drinking more and more so she stayed at that secure and euphoric high.
"Oh, Jin, you drinking?" he asked, and she could hear the disappointment in his face.
"Yup, just doing what ya taught me, dad, what can I say?" she said, hitting a somewhat sober point, sober enough to think clearly enough to remember all the nights her father drank himself to sleep.
"I'm coming over, and you're gonna tell me all that's happened. John called me Friday night, he didn't know what had happened, and I didn't know where you were..."
”So you're calling to check on me, well, dad, I feel great, better than ever, fresh as a daisy, so if ya don't mind, I'm gonna go back to sleep now."
"Jinny, you have classes this morning, right?"
She sighed and groaned. "Yeah, but-"
"But nothing, you're gonna go to class. I'll be there in 15 minutes to pick you up."
"Oh, dad, give it up, all right? I'm worthless, any effort your put for me is pointless, so just give it up."
"Jin, what are you talking like that for? Hey, I'm your father, I love your no matter what."
"Whether I'm worthless or not, huh?" she muttered, her swollen eyes sunken into her head, as she took another swig of beer.
"Jin, would ya stop it?! No one is worthless, especially when they have so many people who love them." She could hear her father's frustration growing.
"The problem is, dad, you love me because you have to, not because you want to."

"Jin, that is so far from the truth, and all this self-pity crap is making me mad, so just stop it. I love you, and that's that. And I'm going to come by and take you to school. So...see you in 15. Bye," he growled. He never meant to hurt his children, he never meant to make it seem like he didn't care, he loved them more than words could express, but he just had difficulty showing it. He came by, picked her up, told her, all the way to college, how much he cared and loved her, and how great a person she was. She sighed and looked out the window as his words, though heartfelt, seems to escape her ear or understanding. There comes a point when you make yourself so out of reach of human contact or affection or love that words almost mean nothing. That was the point Jinny was at. He dropped her off, she got out, without a word, and trudged toward her first class, Englsih.
"Hey, want me to pick you up, Jin?" he father called to her, as she walked away.
She shook her head, not indicating either answer, and he shrugged and decided to show up just in case. He had taken the day off anyways. Jinny walked into her class, took a look at Mr. Simmons and sighed, knowing she always had options when it came to men. She had sexual options anyways, love options were harder to come by. She fell into a chair in the back and cupper her chin in her hand with her elbow on the desk. Looking straight down at the wood desk and not paying attention to one word Mr. Simmons was saying was how she finished up first period.

When the bell rang, she opened her eyes and her body shook for a moment. She had fallen asleep. The next thing she saw was Mr. Simmons face in front of hers.
"Hey, Jin, what's wrong?" he asked, sounding genuinly concerned, but she wasn't buying it.
She shook her head and leaned back in her chair, keeping her sunken eyes looking down. He made a sour face. "Whew, you been drinking?"
"What a nose, suppose they don't call ya a houndog for nothing," she muttered, her hair hanging in her face. He laughed. "Hey, let me take you out to lunch, you don't look so good." He tried to make eye contact, but she ketp her eyes stubbonrly on her desk. He put his hand over hers then his voice got softer, as if he wanted to make a tender statement...or possibly because he didn't want anyone to hear. "I know we uhh, got together under unusual circumstances, but I would like to get to know you, as person."
She finally looked up at him, made a sarcastic smirk and said, "No, you don't. You couldn't care less about me as a person, you just wanna hit the sack, and have ME underneath you."
He looked at her stunned then laughed and giggled promiscuously. "You got me, Inspector, I give up. You found me out," he laughed, looking sexily into her eyes.
"It's good to go out with someone who has similar intensions," she said, suddenly, grabbing his face in her hands and kissing him hard. She'd found she had two options when dealing with pain: drinking or sex. She'd tried to the first one, that hadn' met up to its promise, so now it was on to plan B.

Her lips were so hungry and desperate for affection, and Mr. Simmons could feel that. She would have slept with anyone right about then. The fact that someone, anyone, wants you in any way pleased her enough. She caressed his head and neck with her hand as they continued to kiss. Simmons, with eyes closed, put his hands out and messed up her hair as he grasped at her head and brough it closer and closer to his face. He then moved his fingers along her arms then to her back where he pulled her by her jeans as close to his body as he could.

After a moment, he nearly had a heartattack when a door opened. He stood straight up as if nothing was going on between them then looked back at the door. Jinny looked down and let her long hair hang in front of her, obstructing her face.
"Hi, Mr. Stevens, I had a question about the homework," a shy, young woman said, quietly, as she tried to hide her blushing face behind her glasses, it was quite apparent to her what they had been doing. "Although if this is a bad time," she said heading for the door.
"Uhmm, actually, it is, could you come, maybe after 3? I should be here."
She nodded, and giggling, then she ran out of the class and down the hallway.

Jinny breathed in then put a hand on her bag to go and stood up. "Hey, you're not leaving are you?" he said.
"You got any better ideas?"
"Actually, I do," he grinned. "How about dinner at my place tonight? You look a little down, maybe I could lift your spirits so to speak, maybe you could shake off the slump ya look like you're in," he said, tyring to sound sympathetic, but of course, she could see right through his empty talk and ample advances.
"That won't be all I could take off," she said, sexily looking at him, feeding off the meaningless attention, but it was attention nonetheless.
"D-mn, you're my kinda woman, Jinny," he said, stepping close to her, after looking around, making sure no one was seeing.
"And I'm afraid you're my kind of guy," she said, and he could sense the dissappointment in her voice. It seeemd she was doomed to HIS kind of man: the unfaithful, the careless, the kind who only apprecaited her sexual aptitude and not her as a person. But a person wanting you for whatever reason is something, and she justified in her mind that he would have to do for now. He stepped even closer to her, lifted up her chin with his finger and met her tongue head on. His other hand found its way under the back of her shirt, soothing her soft back. She stepped back as people began coming in the whispered, nibbled on his ear then whispered, "See you tonight."

Jinny finished off the unproductive and wasted day then walked out in front of the school, expecting her father to be there, but instead, she was pleasantly surpised to see Casey. He was grinning from ear to ear and looked quite dashing sitting in the driver's seat of their's father's bug. It was amazing, but in those months that she had moved out and not seen him very much, he had changed and matured in his features and body. He looked so much sturdier and muscular, but his face remained as sweet as ever, only with rounded out and more mature features.
"Hi, Jin!" he called, excited to see her.
"Well, look at this," she said, smiling, opening up the passenger's side and getting in. "You got your license?"
"Yup," he said, proudly. "I'm now a legal driver," he grinned, turning on the ignition. "It's good to see you!" he said, reaching across and hugging her.
"Way to go, Cas," she said, proudly ruffling up his hair on the back of his neck. She leaned in and kissed his cheek as he blushed.
"Oh, stop it, mom," he laughed. "Yup, I got it yesterday. The lady said I was one of the best driver's she'd ever passed," he said, proudly impressed with himself.
She smiled sincerely. How she loved him, more than words could express. Their relationship had always been so tender and loving, nothing he could ever do or say could make her think less of him.

"So, tell me, Cas, how are things between you and Jessica?" she asked. "Because you know as your older sistser, I must be informed of all these things."
"No, I think it's just cause you're nosy," he smirked.
She laughed and hit his shoulder, as he pretended to be very hurt. When the laughter subsided, he sighed then said, "We just went on that one date to the movies. It...didn't work out." He put his head down then realized he needed to be watching the road. "Jin, see, I just don't think she was my type," he said, trying to see if his sister would catch his drift.
"What? Too blonde? Not blonde enough?" she laughed.
He awkwardly laughed. "Yeah, I guess..." he said, looking out. They rode in comfortable silence, enjoying the other's missed company. "Aaaaand, here we are," he smiled, pulling up to her apartment building.
"Thanks for the ride, Cas."
"Anytime, dad's working, so I offered to pick ya up. By the way, you doing OK? I mean, is your car in the shop or something?" he asked, curious.
"Well, I'm not OK, and the car isn't in the shop, but thanks for asking," she sighed, getting out of the car.
"Wait, Jin, if something's wrong, tell me about it. I wanna help or at least know what's going on," he said, and she could feel the love and concern in his voice for her.
"I know," she said, quietly. "Sometimes we just need to keep our problems to ourself and figure them out on our own time," she said, wistfully. Casey nodded, understanding, smiled at her, mouthed, "Bye," and "Love you," then drove off.

She sighed and smiled proudly as she saw him driving away. Not only was she growing up, but so was her little brother. She walked up the steps to her apartment, unlocked it, then crashed on the couch. The day at school had given her time to sober up and come out of the alcoholic fog, even though she had had to excuse herself from class to throw up twice. She wiped her forehead, and looked at her watch. "4 o'clock," she muttered, to herself. 'One won't hurt,' she told herself. As long as she was going to be sleeping with Mr. Simmons tonight, she rather liked the idea of not being quite sober and awake for it. She found some beer and drank a can in several long gulps, then rested her drowsy and worn body till 7 when he was going to pick her up and take her to his place.

The doorbell's loud ring shocked her awake and she remember her date that night. She forced her eyes wide open then looked at what she was wearing: black sweat pants and a tank top. She rolled her eyes and hollered, "Just a minute!" as she ran to her bedroom and changed into some dark jeans and a black shirt. Passing by the mirror she gagged as she saw her just woken up face. It was flushed and her nose was squashed. She put some mascara on then tied her hair back in a ponytail.
"I'm waaaaaiting," he called to her, giggling, like a young boy on his first date, knowing he was gonna score before the night was through.
"I'm almost dooooooone!" she called back, imitating him and rolling her eyes. Once satisfied with how she looked, she stepped to the door and opened it.
"Well, well, well, aren't we looking sexy and hot tonight?" he grinned, an eyebrow up. She could nearly see his hormones racing through his body and pulling certain muscles up.
"Well, I dunno about you, but I am," she grinned back. He laughed.
"So all ready?" he asked, looking, though she hated to admit it, quite sexy and hot himself in a right black shirt, sprea very thin over his protruding muscles.
"I've got my condome already in place if that's what you mean."

He chickled again and they walked out to his car. They got in their respective sides, and he whisked her off to his apartment at a rate of about 80-mph. When they pulled up to his apartment which was way across town, but somehow they got there in less than 5 minutes, she got out and he smiled and said, "I hope you like steak, cause that's what I got."
"You made steak?" she clarified, impressed.
"Oh, h-ll no, I got two of those steak TV dinner type things."
"Oh," she said, back to being unimpressed again. He opened his door and stepped in without holding it for her, and she caught the door before it slammed in her face and stepped inside. She felt like throwing up as she saw his apartment, typical bachelor's pad: dirty clothes everywhere, old food rotting in the corners. "You LIVE here?" she said, disgusted, as he was putting the dinner sin the micrwave.
"Yeah, it's great, isn't it?" he grinned, without a care in the world.
"Just...peachy..."

"Hey, I've seen your apartment, honey, you should talk," he laughed.
"At least I don't have 3 year old yogurt in the corner feeding the 5th generation of ants to call this home."
He snickered. "Not only sexy, but a sense of humor, I like that."
'Not only a filthy pig, but a stupid filthy pig,' she thought to herself. But still, those bulging muscles had their appeal as she imagined them caressing her once again. 'He just has to wear those shirts which are five sizes too small to drive me crazy,' she said, sick with herself and her superficial attraction to him. He stepped out of the kitchen. "Dinner'll be ready in 10," he said, leaning against the side of the wall. "You know, I've always felt this apartment had one flaw: the heater in this place never works."
She looked at him confused, thinking it kind of silly he be talking about his heater at a time like this. "So...?"
"So maybe we can heat this place up another way." He walked towards her with a firm destination in mind and sexy smile on. He sat on the couch next to her, breathed in deeply, making his hard chest puff up, and he embraced her in a slow, smothering French kiss.

Ok, Susan's computer is screwed up so I'm posting the next part of the story for her........HERE IT IS! LOL

Here's more cause I'm nice! LOL

Simmons quickly made his way over her, putting himself in the dominant position, as she, exhausted, decided to let him do what he wanted with her. She decided to be the passive partner this time and she eased her body under him and looked away, closing her eyes, letting him undress her and himself, too tired to particpate heavily and too disappointed with herself that she was doing this. She let him do whatever he wanted as she quietly lay there and gave all herself to him. He tore her clothes off as fast as he could and in a whirr, made love to her. The evening went by and pretty soon they were both asleep: he from exhaustion after the work out and physical demands he'd put out and she from the general weariness that comes from despair. He pulled her limp body on top of him and let her rest with her head on his chest as he layed his head back on the pillow, breathed in deeply and fell asleep, satisified all around with how the evening turned out.

Jinny woke the next morning, feeling surprisingly refreshed. 'I guess all I need to feel better is a good night's sleep after sex, she thought to herself. She lifted her head then set it back down on his chest. She was still weak, but wide-awake. She brought a hand to her face and wiped her forehead as she got her bearings. Her movements stirred the lump of muscles underneath her and she felt her body rising as he breathed in and his large chest expanded. She kissed his chest out of routine and he looked down and smiled sexily. He put a hand on the back of her head and pulled her up to his lips and she felt her body rubbing aginst those smooth muscles as she brought her closer to him, and she kissed him while his stuble tickled her. She sighed, looked away as he nibbled at her cheeks and ear. "I better go," she whispered.
"Nahh, it's my day off," he said, in between nibbles.
"Yeah, but it's not mine. I have to get down to the Division."
"You a cop already? I thought you hadn't been to Academy?" he said, running his hands up and down her bare back, underneath the blanket. He grabbed her cheeks in his hands and kissed her harder, which prevented her from answering him. She forced his hands off her cheeks.
"I'm doing secretarial work while I get familiar with the people there," she answered, out of breath after the small struggle.
"Hey, I thought you wanted this," he said, not having listened to her explanation, and angry after being shoved off.
"You were stiffling me!" she said, annoyed.
"Excuuuuse me," he said, annoyed back.
"Like I said, I better go." She started to get up and off him, but he stopped her.
"Aww, c'mon, Jin, don't be mad, just a lil longer," he whined, pushing her body back next to his. Their bellies touched, and he held her firmly on top of him, kissing her more and more. He kissed down her neck, then rolled himself on top of her.
"No, I REALLY have to go," she said, pulling away.
He kissed her lips and tried to enter her again, but there was nothing doing. "Oh, fine," he said, realizing his defeat. "See ya in class tomorrow." He rolled to the side of her and let her out from underneath him.
"Yeah, see ya," she said. She moved her feet to the ground and sat up on his couch. He, behind her, leaned in and kissed her back.
"We'll have to do this again sometime," he said, caressing her back from behind.
"Yeah..." she said. 'When geese yodel...' she thought.

She got up, found her clothes from last night scattered all around the floor, and dressed back into them then looked at her watch, which had found its place in the 3 year old yogurt. She decided she needed a new one anyways and threw that one away. She found another clock underneath a pile of clothes and saw that it was already 8:30 and she was a half on hour late for work. She grumbled then started for the door.
"Hey, Jin?" Simmons called, from the couch.
"Yeah?" she said, stopping right before she was about to exit.
"Wanna go out again sometime this week? I can reheat those TV dinners we didn't eat tonight."
She gagged at the thought. "As tempting as that sounds, I'll pass. Bye," she said, scurrying out as fast as she could. It was still hard to believe that in such a short time, all with Darren was over, completely over. He comanded all her thoughts, and all she could do was try to see past him and see that though something wonderful had ended, something even greater could begin. So she stepped back into her college work and calmed down in the men area. She knew she needed time to find herself and discover herself, one of the reasons she hadn't married Darren right away. Might as we all start now, she thought. She was invited to a lot of parties and went to most, but ended up with few one-night stands, as she tried to possibly shake her image as a slut. She dated infrequently and only if the guy pursued her enough. Her fling with Mr. Simmons simmered down, especially after he announced his engagement to the art teacher at UCSF. He particularily avoided her eye contact when he told her class. Her college years went by, memories were made, nothing of special note. She made a few new friends, but she guarded herself too close to make true, lasting bonds with anyone. And before she knew it, she was about to graduate a year early. She had taken an accelerated program and was ecstatic to learn from her counselor that she had enough credits to grauate early and get her B.A. in Criminal Law.

That Wednesday at what had become the family poker night, Jinny made the happy announcement and found out that her brother also had an announcement.
"...so I can graduate this year! My guidance counselor told me today when I wnet to sign up for my senior classes."
"That's great, Jinny girl!" her father said, excited for her.
"Way to go, Jin," Casey said, patting her shoulder. She smiled and dealt the cards.
"Where's John, did he tell anyone he was not gonna be here?" John Sr. asked.
Jinny and Casey shook their heads. They hadn't heard from him at all. Just as they had spoken about him, they heard a motorcycle's loud growl park outside their house.
"Speak of the devil..." Jinny said.

"Hey, guys! Guess what?!" John Jr. said, as he waltzed in the house, excited about something.
"What?" John Sr. asked.
"Must be a new whore checked in on his favorite corner..." Jinny mumbled to herself.
"Jinny," Casey giggled to himself.
"I want you all to meet Marlene!" he said, as he headed for where they were playing poker.
"What'd I tell ya?" Jinny said.
Casey laughed some more. He missed her sarcastic humor which somehow always lightened up the old house.
John Jr. walked in, with his arm around Marlene's shoulders. She was a carbon copy of Georgia, his last wife, blonde, blue-green eyes, a slim, sexy figure and a bust from here to Singapore.
"Hi, y'all!" she said, in a Southern twang, another similarity to Georgia.
"Hi," Jinny mumbled, after rolling her eyes and seeing her.
"Hiya," Casey said, blushing, trying to be friendly.
"Hi, how are ya?" John Sr. replied, trying to smile.
"Just perky as jerky! Thank y'all for askin! John tol' me y'alls was right friendly, he ain't no lyer is he?" she laughed, giddily, sitting down in a chair John Jr. pulled up for her. "Pokah? That what we all playin? I looove Pokah! Back in Arkansas, we sit around all day jes saying, 'Go fish!' "

She laughed a nasel laugh and Jinny mumbled to her brother, "Hellooooo, Georga's twin." Casey laughed somemore and tried to instill some polite manners in his sister.
"I hafta use the lil girl's room, so if y'all be your friendly selves and excuse me, I'd be much obliged!" She got her tiny, slim self out of the chair and walked, looking rather uncomfortable in 5-inch heel shoes, to the bathroom. "Bye, babylover," she whispered sexily to John as she exited.
"Ain't she great?" John Jr. said, grinning, having picked up her southern twang.
"Oh, don't tell me her accents gotten you, too..." Jinny grumbled.
"Oh, Jin, just cause you don't look like that, no reason to be crappy to people who do," he sneered at her.
"Hey, stop it, guys," John Sr. said. "Now, deal em."
"No, I asked a question, what do y'all think of her?"
"You did it again!" Jinny said, annoyed.
"Did what? Jes cause y'all can't take a little Southern humor..." he said, perturbed.
Jinny imitated the Southern drawl. "Jes cause I don't like hearing people tawlk who sound like they have an I.Q. of -43!"
"Guys! Stop it!" John Sr. said, angry at all the dissention in their house.
"Hi, y'all! I'm baaaack!" Marlene hollered, in her bubbly vivacity.
"Don't remiiiiiiiiind us!" Jinny sarcastically hollered back, again imitating the southern drawl.

"Jinny," her father reprimanded, although he couldn't stop himself from laughing.
John informed his family of how they met, a rather sordid affair, and that they were engaged. Casey put on a pretend smile and tried to be happy for his older brother while Jinny, never to pretend to be anything, openly declared her disappointment in her brother.
"Marlene, do yourself a favor and find some nice guy on a farm from the South, OK? This jerk is gonna love you and leave you, and what'll you have to show for it in the end? Two black eyes and a broken rib and maybe a kid or two."
John Jr. stood up. "I am NOT taking any more of this crap, little sister," he said. He marched over to her chair, and she stood up also.
"Little sister, my-" but before she could finish, John Jr. had raised his hand to hit her when their father intervened.
"Stop it! NOW!" he shouted. "Just once, just ONCE, it would be really nice to come here, sit down with my kids, and have a peaceful, fun evening. Have I been that awful to you? Have I been that horrible to you to make that an unreasonable request?!"
Jinny and John Jr. were caught up in a staring/sneering contest and neither replied to his question. The older man hung his head. "John, I would just like you to really think this over. There have only been 3 divorces in our family, and 2 of them were yours! Now before you get caught up in the infatuation, maybe give it a little time to make sure this is the right decision."
"We are getting married, dad," John Jr. said, firmly.
"John, wouldn't it be worth it to wait a few months at least and possibly end up avoiding a painful marriage that won't last?"
"Wait just a minute," Marlene said, standing up, surprising them al that she was going to say anything. "You've been married 2 times??" she asked looking at him, confused and near anger.
"Yeah, didn't I tell ya? I thought I did..." he mumbled, then looking at his father and glaring at him for spilling the beans.
"NO, Babylover, you didn't! How could you do this to me?!" she whinned. "Take me home!!" she called, as she ran out to his motorcycle. "And then I never wanna see you again!"
John Jr. threw his chair at the table, growled, and dragged himself out of the house, slamming the door, and riding away as fast as he'd come.

Jinny broke the ice. "Well, y'all tune in next week, folks, for the exciting adventures in As John's World of Southern Bimbos Turns."

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! its annoying me because i still cant figure it out. the US should have one accent. You should all talk like me. Ud get a good mix of every accent ever creatred that way.

Casey couldn't help but laugh. John Sr. sat back down in his chair. "Stupid kids," he muttered. "Cas, don't ever rush into marriage, OK? Let me keep the last few gray hairs I've got. Same goes for you, too, Jin."
Jinny was about to make another sordid comment when Casey spoke up.
"Did you rush into marriage?" Casey asked, nearly trembling, looking in his father's eyes. Jinny looked over at Casey wondering where he was going to go with this.

John Sr. sighed and looked like he was thinking. "No, we didn't..." he mumbled, under his breath, to himself.
"Guess ya never can tell then, huh?" Casey said, also under his breath.
"Hm?"
"I mean...ya know, John's rushed and his marriages have gone sour...you got married without rushing...and..." he said, not knowing how to put it.
"Our marriage was perfect," John Sr. said his nostrils flaring, hoping that if he said it believably, they would buy it. There is no perfect marriage, and certainly a perfect one doesn't end in suicide. He breathed in deeply then said, louder than necessary, "Now we're not gonna talk about this anymore, right, y'all?"
Jinny had to laugh. "Don't tell me she got to you, too!"
John Sr. realized his slip and laughed, then Casey joined in.

Thankfully, the subject was dropped quietly and quickly moved away from.
"So you gonna be applying for Academy soon, Jin?" John Sr. asked his daughter, as they continued their game of poker.
"Yup, I heard the deadline was in May, so I've got some time."
"I'm sure you'll be accepted. Just give em your last name, and they're sure to pass you," he chuckled. "You got nothing to worry about. I still have that fund we made the day we found out we were having another baby all set up that we've been throwing money in for ya over the years. And with that degree you got going to college, oh, Jinny girl, you could make Leuitenant or even Captain maybe!" he said, very proud of his Jinny girl.

"Let's just worry about getting me into Academy, dad," she laughed at his enthusiasm. "But it is reassuring to know you got in. I mean, if they could accept YOU...well, there's plenty of hope for me," she snickered.
John Sr. eyed his daughter curiously then leaned over to Casey. "Did she just insult me?" he laughed.
"Yeah, I think she did," Casey laughed.
"Well, Jinny girl, it may surprise you to know that I was up for Inspector once, and I didn't even have your fancy dancy college degree," he said, proudly.
"Boy, they musta been desperate that year..." she smirked.
"Hey, hey, be nice to your dear old dad," he said, taking another puff on his cigarette. They laughed and made the effort to have a good time.

Any anxiety Jinny had had about getting into the Academy was pointless, for sure enough, as soon as they saw Exstead and the degree she had and her excellent scores on entry tests, she was a shoo-in. She was all set to start Academy in the fall.

Jinny tripled her work hours at The Division during the summer and even got a promotion to be a personal secretary to one of the lueitanants there. Her pay also tripled and she was glad to pay off some rental debt she'd gotten in. San Fransisco wasn't the cheapest place to live. The summer went by fast and not without its usual summer flirting. Some of the men around The Division seemed to like her. But she noticed a lot of them were different. They were faithful to their wives, seemed to truly care about society and protecting it. They really took their jobs seriously. The other kind, however, flirted with her. She could spot the cads a mile away. If they were flirting with her, they were baaaaaad news. Some of her faith in men had been restored. There were a few good ones still out there. The only problem was those were the ones would never associate themselves with her. But she made do with the cads who wanted her and tried to have a good time with all the one-night stands, even though in the end, when she woke up in the morning, many of them were already gone and she slept in an empty bed. Academy began in August and Jinny more than ready. All through college, her mission in life was only reinforced as she felt herself sinking into her place in life and enjoying every minute. It felt nice to see things coming together in her life for a change.

The first day of training, Jinny woke up, eyes wide awake and realized her dream was really coming true. She was really on her way to being a cop. The thought excited her and she did her morning exercises she had started doing to get in shape. Then, worn out and perspiring, she jumped in the shower, cleaned herself up and got dressed and ate a big breakfast, mostly anything she could heat up in her microwave in less than 5 minutes. She combed her hair back and clipped the top part back. Then, admiring her appearance, she took her first step out of her house to the Academy. Training began at 8 promptly and she was particularily pleased to see some pretty fine looking men getting out of their cars.

One, who happened to be walking along side her broke the silence and its awkwardness and said, "Hey, I'm John." He was shorter than most men she'd dated, if that was what you could call what she did with them. He was about 5'10, probably 180 pounds with a fair share of muscle, and a nice, appealing face. It wasn't exactly attractive, but it had a sweetness she often recognized in Casey's angelic face.
"I'm Jinny, just call me Jin," she said. He took out his hand to shake hers and she shook it.
"So, this your first year?" he asked, sticking his hands in his pockets. She felt a friendliness with him, a comfortability that she liked. She guessed that would become good friends.
"Yup," she answered. "You?"
"Yeah. I'm kinda nervous," he laughed. "I don't know if I can really do this, ya know?"
"Never know till ya try," she injected.
"That's true," he said, cocking his head. "Oh, here's my registration office. I'll see ya around, Jin," he smiled.
"Yeah, see ya," she smiled back, waving her hand as she reached her registration office and signed, picked up her schedule, and headed off for her first room of training.
