"Yeah, sure, sure..." John Sr. hung up and told his kids about the party that night. Jinny wondered if she could bring Kevin along as her date, so she called her older brother up.
"Hey, John?" she said, when she heard his grunt of a hello.
"Jin?"
"Yeah, could I bring a date to the party?"
"As long as you keep it clean."
"What? Like you-"
"Oh, I don't care, Jin, just don't do anything weird..."
"You wanna define weird for me there?"
"Oh, you know what I mean...yeah, whatever, bring him...he your boyfriend? What's his name?"
"Kevin."
"He sounded good enough, okay, see ya tonight then."
Jinny put the phone down and called Kevin and told him about that night. She smiled as she hung up from him and thought about what an interesting night this would be: her father, little brother, her, Kevin, lots of women...all in one room. It wouldn't be a party she'd want to miss.

That evening, Casey and John Sr. left in one car for the party a little early to help set up, as Jinny got in her car and drove to Kevin's to pick him up. She reached his house, honked her horn, and he ran out, looking quite handsome in a black leather jacket, black pants and a crystal blue sweater.
"Oh, we match," she cracked, pointing at his jacket as he hopped in.
"By so we do! Lemme just warn ya, hun, you are looking pretty darn good right now, slap me or something if I do or say something I shouldn't at the party." He leaned in and gave her a kiss, unlike the usual hello kiss. He held her neck and didn't seem to wnat to stop.
"You are in a good mood, aren't ya?" she said, facing him directly and taking his face in her hands and kissing him again.
"Dang right, baby." He ran his fingers through her hair as they kissed somemore.
'This should be an interesting party...' she thought to herself as they drove off.

Well, as long as ya all wnat more! LOL, here it is! ;)

They arrived and Jinny opened the door and walked in, hand in hand with Kevin. The apartment was all decorated and a table was set out with snacks and sandwiches and desserts.
She and Kevin hit the food table first and filled up a plate then joined where everyone else was in the large living room. It was quite obvious what this party was for. At least five women who Jinny didn't know were there and they each had at least one arm around John Jr., giggling and flirting with him, their shirts low cut and the skirts riding high. Jinny still wondered why he was such a catch, but another part of her knew why some women were drawn to him, he was wild and adventerous, even if that wild side often went into anger and rage and violence...
She and Kevin sat down next to each other, near her father and brother. Casey looked quite uncomfortable and seemed to be turning red and blushing the whole time as the women threw themselves at John Jr. He laughed and joked with them. John Sr. surprisingly was able to strike up a conversation with one of the young ladies. She had dark brown hair and big brown eyes, she was quite tall, too, but she seemd a little different than the rest. She seemed to have a brain was what it was. Jinny listened, as her father seemed quite absorbed in a discussion about the increase in interest rates with the woman. Jinny turned to Kevin and wondered aloud, "What are those women thinking? I wonder if they know why he's divorced," Jinny said, in disgust at her brother.
"They prolly don't," Kevin said, not taking his eyes off Jinny. He leaned in and skissed her lips softly then began to press harder. Jinny wanted to kiss back, but took one look at her father who was looking straight at them and pushed Kevin away. He coughed then moved a little ways away from Jinny.
Jinny ate a chip and dipped it in some salsa.

"Well, how about some music and dancing!" John Jr. said, happily. He got up from his brothel of women around him, as they pawed at him for more. He put in some wild music and said, "Who's first?"
Jinny, Casey, and John Sr. turned sick as a hoard of women flung themselves at him. He took the hand of a gorgeous blonde one, and they began to grind.
John Sr. stood up and went over to where Casey was sitting. "Don't ever dance like that okay?" he whispered.
"Ewwww..." Casey said, in shock.
"Hey, Jin, wanna dance?" Kevin asked, grinning, an eyebrow raised.
She hit him. "Oh, shut up," she laughed.
"I'm serious! I wanna dance with you," he smiled.
She looked at him. "Okay, fine with me," she grinned back. He took her hand, and they walked to the open space, which John Jr. had picked to be their dance floor. Kevin went behind Jinny, and, they, too, began to grind.
"Jinny!" John Sr. shouted, in a gruff, angry voice. She looked up at him and shrugged then went back to dancing. Kevin ran his hands up and down her back as they moved to the music...
John Sr. had had enough. His own children flaunted the fact that they were disobeying him. He went up to Kevin and Jinny and grabbed her arm. "We are going home, young lady," he growled.
"Dad!" she cried in protest.
He grabbed her arm and took her out the door with him. Jinny looked back at Kevin and mouthed, "Call you later," as Casey timidly walked out the door with his family.
John Jr. decided he wouldn't let that little incident put a damper on his party. "So, Kev, I got plenty of babes, want one?" he grinned. Kevin took one tempted look at the Barbie dolls in the room then grabbed his jacket and left.

Jinny stomped to her car and slammed the door, as John Sr. and Casey got in the other car and drove off. Jinny waited in her car for a moment, as she watched to see if she could catch Kevin coming out. After a few minutes, she saw him meandering aimlessly out the door, not knowing how he was gonna get home. Jinny waved her hand outside her window at him to let him know she was there. He noticed her hand and walked to the car.
"Oh, good, I hoped ya hadn't forgotten me," he smiled, as he got in the passenger's side.
"No, I wouldn't do that," she grinned, putting the keys in the ignition. "Hey, you know what? Let's go somewhere, let's do something, I don't wanna go home."
"I don't blame ya...neither do I, neither of my parents are home, and it'll be all quiet. Say, you wanna go to my house and just hang out?"
"Hang out?" Jinny asked, an eyebrow up. "Wanna define hang out for me?" she winked.
"Lemme give ya a preview." Kevin reached over and took her cheek in his hand and kissed her lightly.
"Oh, hanging out sounds good," she smiled. She rustled his hair and put her eyes on the road. "Your place?"
"Yep," he grinned, getting comfortable in his seat. She drove them to his house, and they walked iniside, making sure the coast was clear. "Nope, they're not home," he smiled. He turned to her and grabbed her waist and pulled her into him and kissed her.
She pulled back. "Hey, let's watch some TV or something, I'm kinda tired," she said, yawning, and walking towards the sofa.
"What?" Kevin said, his brows furrowing into an angry look. "I thought you said you wanted to hang out?"
"Yeah...I changed my mind...c'mon, there's more to dating than sex."
"There is?"
Jinny sat down on his couch and turned on the TV, then looked back at him, standing in the hallway. "Yes, there's a lot more, don't you know that?"
"No, I don't, cause there isn't."
"What?" she asked, confused, looking back at him. She saw in his eyes a strange change from the young man she'd usually known him to be. "Kevin-"
"You, on the ground," he pointed to the carpet, in a strange and demanding tone.
"What?!" she stood up, shocked. "How dare you order me to-" but she couldn't finish because he had run after her. He caught her by surpise and the push and weight of his body forced her down to the ground, so her back slammed into the carpet and his thick body was on top of hers.
"Kevin-" she started to scream, but he put a hand over her mouth, and socked her stomach. Her mind jolted a memory. It was the one of Matt, in the cornfield, punching her stomach as he forced himself inside her. Luckily, though, now, she had karate under her belt. She was able to, in one single swipe, kick him in his stomach with her knee, shoving him off her. She leaped up and began to run when she turned back to look if he had gotten up and was after her, she looked back into his dark, evil eyes, which were right over her shoulder. He jumped on her from behind and she fell to the ground.

Here's more peeps!

Her jaw hit the tile of their kitchen and she yelled in pain as Kevin grabbed her hands from behind and twisted her arms back. But, she still remembered a certain tactic from karate class. She rammed her feet backwards, so they hit his legs, and he let go briefly as he cried in pain, which gave her just enough time to wiggle out from underneath him. She started to run out his door, but he caught her leg and wouldn't let go. Finally, she kicked him off her and she ran out the front door, panting. She kept running down the street, without looking back. She tried to remember where she was and where she could run to, when it hit her. She knew of a place right around the corner that she could escape to easily, even though it woulnd't have been one of choice. But she had no choice, so in it's direction she ran. John Jr.'s apartment complex that he lived in was right down the street.

Jinny ran, without looking back, the whole way, to the Greengrass apartment complex.

She reached the opening gate, leaped over it, and ran to apartment B25. She went up to the second level, reached his number, and jiggled the door, but it was locked. She pounded on it, then heard her brother yell, "Go away, Janet! I told ya we shouldda used something, so you're being pregnant is your fault! GO AWAY!!"
"John, it's me!" Jinny yelled at the door. She caught her breath and looked out over the railing outside his door and could see Kevin running after her. He looked up at her from the ground floor and sneared, pointed, and mouthed, "I'm gonna get you."
She sneered back, and waited for her brother to open the door, as Kevin puched the elevator button.
"Jin? That you?" she heard her brother shout from inside.
"YES!! Now, open the $&%@&%$&^% door!" she yelled back, as Kevin leaped into the elevator in a hurry and made his way up.
"Oh, uhh...okay, just a sec..." he said, awkwardly. She wondered if he was "busy." As in "busy" with a "friend" of his. A "friend" as in...oh, you know I mean... ;)

She waited impatiently as she heard the elevator door open suddenly. He was on the opposite side of the second floor. She heard him round the corner, and they were soon face to face. Kevin began marching towards her, a firm and defiant look on his face. He would get her in his hands or else...
Jinny pounded again on the door of her brother's place and shouted, "JOHN!!! OPEN THE DOOR!!!!" But as she waited, she prepared her muscles for fighting. She had any karate move set to pull on him.
Kevin picked up his pace and was now nearly jogging towards her. Jinny had just lifted her arm to perform a swift blow to his neck when-

"What was it, Johnny baby?" a redhead said, walking out of the bedroom with her sheer bra and underwear on.
"Ginger, I told you to stay in the bedroom..." he shook his head. "Uhhh, Jin, this is Ginger, Ginger this is my sister, Jinny," he stuttered, awkwardly. He turned around and punched the wall slightly, embarrassed.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I'll go back in the room...it was nice to meet you...Jinny..." the redhead mumbled, walking back to the room.
Jinny glared at her older brother. "John, it's Thursday, shouldn't you be at the academy? LEARNING SOMETHING?!?!?"
"Oh, shut up! What do you know? Look, I don't have to take you home or anywhere or do anything for you!" he yelled. He crossed his arms and strutted to the kitchen, content that he'd won.
"Okay, fine, I can stay here," she smiled. She started to make herself comfortable on the couch and clicked on the TV.

Jinny had had enough. "I don't have to take this kind of crap from you!!" She jabbed his arm and gave him a right punch at his chin. John Jr. swerved and they both screamed as all either of them saw last was hazy, obscure, fading bright lights in front of them...

Jinny opened her swollen eyes to this sound and felt her hand being patted and kissed. She then heard the same voice cry, "She's awake! Her eyes opened!"
She groggily moaned and tried to see where she was and what was happening, but her vision was blurred.
"I...I...can't see..." she murmured. Then, when trying to move her torso up on the pillow, pain ran up and down every part of her body and she groaned.
"Oh, my G-d, oh, my, G-d, Jinny, doctor, she can't-" the same voice began screaming.
"It's all right, calm down," an in charge and confident voice said. "Jinny, can you see anything at all or total darkness?"

Jinny blinked several times and shook her head, which sent more shooting pain. "I can see, it's just very...hazy..."
"She'll be fine, she can see, she probably just has some debris in her eyes, the natural tears she has will activate and wash it away, nothing to worry about."
"So, wait..." Jinny began, trying to move again, but not getting anywhere seeing as how she only felt pain. "What happened?" she asked.
"Oh, baby, you-" began that same voice she'd first heard.
"You were in a car accident, Jinny," the doctor said, taking over. "You should be fine and completely recovered within a month. You have several torn muscles, but, luckily, no bone breakage or damage. And we have checked for any internal bleeding, but as of yet, we aren't finding any. You have many scratches and cuts which are painful now, but should heal quickly and not leave any scars. Those muscles will be sore for quite some time, so I would suggest as very little physical activity as possible."
"Score!" Jinny yelled, happy.
"Excuse me?" the doctor said.
"Jinny, baby, did you hear what he said? He said no-"
"No physical exercise for a month! We have physical ed. testing next week, and I won't have to do it! Where's John so I can thank him?" Jinny said, the thought striking her, she began to wonder how he really was. Her sight also began to come back slowly, with some tears forming and flushing out the debris just like the doctor said.
"Oh, John's in another room, he appears to be doing okay, too. It looks he just has a broken arm on his left arm, where he swerved and rammed into his car door."
"Oh, that's good...I think."
"So, when can she go, Doc?"
"Well, I guess we've done all the necessary tests, you should be free to go anytime. Just remember to take it very easy, those are torn muscles you have, and they need a lot of sleep and very little activity or else they'll continue to tear or stay torn, which is quite painful, so-"
"Yes, yes, so I'll take it easy, I got it," Jinny said, becoming impatient with the Doctor's longwindedness. The doctor muttured a, "Hmph," and left.

"C'mon, Jinny girl, let's go home."
"Okay, dad," Jinny said. She started to move off the table, but everything ached so much, she had to stop. "I don't know if I can do this," she said, defeated.
"Here, let me help you." She tried again to move with ease, with her father's help, but it was no use. "I can just carry you, Jinny girl," her father said.
"Right, dad, you can't carry me anymore..." she mumbled.
"What? Why, sure I can!"
"Dad, you couldn't carry a cat, let alone me, so..."
"Oh, hush up, and watch your father show his biceps of steel."
"Mm, hmm...riiiiiiight, dad..."
"Hey, just watch me," he grinned, putting one arm under her back, and another under her knees.
"If you drop me, I'm sueing..."
"Oh, no need for that...see! I did it!! I'm carrying you!" John Sr. shouted in triumph, as he held his daughter in his arms. "Oh...oh...oh, wait...uh, oh..." he said, as he began to stumble.
"You drop me and I swear I WILL sue!" Jinny shouted as her already painful body slammed back down onto the hospital bed, as John Sr. dropped.her.
Jinny screamed in pain then was silent for a moment. "My lawyers will be in touch with your lawyers."

The Exsteads came home, not quite all in one happy piece, but home, nonetheless.

John Jr. and Jinny sneered at each other then walked away.
"John, just stay for dinner, then you can go," John Sr. said, going in the kitchen and getting out some leftovers, trying to reunite his family.
"Oh, all right, but that's all," he said, angrily sitting down at the table.
"JINNY! JOHN! Thank God you're both all right!" Casey wailed. He ran and hugged his sister who yelped in pain as he squeezed her torn muscles. "Oh, did that hurt?"
"No, I just scream for the sake of screaming, don't mind me..." Jinny said sarcastically.
Casey laughed as he went to the kitchen and hugged John Jr. "Thank God you're okay!" John Jr. screamed as Casey hugged him and pressed on his left arm which was in a cast. "Well, I'd say I screamed just for the sake of screaming, but that would be too stupid of a comeback!" John Jr. shouted, loud enough so Jinny could hear it.
"Oh, stop it, John," their father said, as he took the chicken he heated up in the microwave out.

The Exstead family all gathered around the table for the first time in years. They got their food and ate it in silence till Casey said, "Hey, guys, remember how mom, when she made chicken, would-"
"Shut up!" John shouted, as he back-handed his little brother's cheek.
"John!" Casey screamed, as he held his cheek.
"John, okay, I've had about enough!" John Sr. screamed. "Can't we all just get along? Is it so hard for four people to get together once in years and not bite each other's heads off?!"
"No, dad, it's not, not as long as John Jr. is part of those four people," Jinny said, disgusted with the man who hit her younger brother. She reached over and smoothed Casey's cheek as his eyes teared up.
"Hey, I didn't wanna come or be here, you people asked! I'l just leave then!"
"BYE!" Jinny shouted, waving. "There's the door!"
"Jinny," John Sr. reprimanded. "We don't mean that we don't want you here-"
"We don't?" Jinny asked angrily. John Sr. ignored her.
"I mean that I'd appreciate it if you'd control yourself and not hit or be rude to your sister and brother, that's all I'm asking."
"Yeah, right, like he's ever complied with anything you've said..." Jinny muttered.
"I don't need this, bye, everyone!" John Jr shouted, on his way out.
"BYE!" Jinny shouted again. "And don't forget to NOT come again!"
John Sr. shook his head. "Oh, guys, guys, do we all have to always be like this? Why do you guys have to fight so much?"
"I guess you just raised some screwed up kids, dad," Jinny glared at her father.
"Hey, I don't deserve that, and you know it! What have I done that's been soooo terrible? I mean, c'mon! What have you wanted ya never got? When have I not been there? You have never wanted for anything, Jinny girl, and you-"

"Well, I know one place you weren't when you should have been," Jinny said, a hushed but very real rage taking her over, as she looked deep into her father's eyes. "Where were you when she was hurting? Where were you when she needed you?!" Jinny yelled, her volume increasing with every question. "WHERE WERE YOU WHEN YOUR WIFE PUT A GUN IN HER MOUTH AND-"

"THAT'S ENOUGH!! GO TO YOUR ROOM!!!!" John Sr. shouted, standing up and pointing to Jinny's room. His eyes looked out of control and seemed to be jumping out of his face and sharply into Jinny. She stood up, threw her napkin on the table, and walked to her room silently. Only until she's slammed the door did Casey and John Sr. hear her begin to sob loudly. Casey looked at his father, bewildered. He hated to see her cry and he hated not talking about their mother's suicide. Putting his fork down, quietly, he got up and went to Jinny in her room and found her on her floor, crying and drinking a Scotch. He took the bottle away without her notice and hugged her, trying to take all the pain away.

John Sr. sat at his table in his kitchen and looked down at his plate. What a mess he found his life. His wife had killed herself with no apparent reason. His children constantly fought; there was never any peace in his house. He found himself getting lost in booze and cigarettes. He stood up heavily, grabbed a beer and drowned himself in it, never thinking to stop the cycle and NOT drink for once...

Casey continued to hug and console his lost sister. He hated it when she got like this. It was like she wasn't even human. She didn't speak, she just cried and seemed to look off far in the distance. She didn't respond, or make any conact. She just drank and cried, and switched back and forth from the two. Casey sighed and did all he could do: hug her and be there for her. He rocked her as she was in her inaccessible state, when the phone rang. They both heard their father answer it with his grumble of a, "Hello," and they waited till they could figure out who it was.
"Oh, hi, Kevin," John Sr. said, angrily. He'd heard all that had happened from John Jr. "No, I don't think that would be a good idea, Kevin...No, really, if I wanted my daughter harrassed and pushed around and forced into crap, then maybe you could come over...oh, you do? You wanna talk? Ha! Fat chance, buddy, don't even THINK about speaking to or seeing her again, bye!" he shouted. And they heard the phone slam. Then they heard John Sr.'s footsteps coming towards her room. "Jinny?" he asked into the door, as he gave a slight knock.
"Come on in, dad," Casey called, as he kicked the bottle of Scotch under her bed, so their father wouldn't see.

John Sr. opened the door, and his heart fell as his two youngest children sat on the floor, both crying. He sighed and put his hands on his hips. "That was Kevin, he wanted to-"
"We heard," Casey murmured, stroking Jinny's hair. John Sr. bent down next to his children. Each was so special to him, and he barely could ever find the words to express his love for them. "Jinny, I don't want you to see him again. He's no good, and I think he showed you that today, so-"
"I don't want to ever see him again," Jinny mumbled, under her breath. She wiped her face and breathed heavily.
"Good," John Sr. said quietly. He reached out and stroked her hair and then brought her into him and hugged her and kissed her cheek. He rubbed her back and tried his best to console her. He never quite knew what to do with a girl. But he was quite proud of his daughter. She stood up for her beliefs, was a great athlete, and got good grades. But aside from that, his little girl also had a few problems of her own. He layed awake nights wondering how he could fix those problems, how he could help, how he could make it all go away, but he always seemed to come up clueless as to how to deal with them.

As the three sat on Jinny's floor, the phone rang again. John Sr. reluctantly got up and left them and answered the phone.
"Hello?...Yes, hi, Cap...I can come back to work now? Today?...Right now?..Thank you so much, you won't regret this...oh, there is? Around the block? Yeah, I'll be on it...Right away...OK, thanks again, bye!" John Sr. shouted happily as he put the phone down and ran to his bedroom to get his gun and holster. "Hey, guys! I'm not suspended anymore and I'm going around the block to catch this theif on foot who just robbed a convenient store!" John Sr. shouted as he felt the old rush of being an officer again. "Keep the door locked and don't answer the phone and don't answer the door-"
"And don't raise h-ll, yeah we got it, dad," Casey and Jinny said in unison.
John Sr. laughed to himself. "Bye, guys!" he shouted on his way out the door.
"Bye, dad!" they both called, as they walked into the living room and sat down for some T.V. Jinny went into the kitchen and made some popcorn then joined her brother in the living room.

But John Sr. hadn't been gone fifteen minutes when Casey screamed as a window in their house was broken and a man dressed all in a black with a ski mask over his face came running in the living room with a large black bag over his shoulder.
"Popcorn?" Jinny asked the man casually.

The man grabbed a gun out of his pocket and pointed it at them. Jinny didn't lose her cool, but Casey began to whimper. Jinny jabbed his arm slightly to make him stop.
"All right, just let me stay here for a while, so the cops don't find me, and be nice to me, and nobody will get hurt."
"No deal," Jinny said firmly.
"Uhh...I believe I'm the one with the gun here, so I'd listen to me if I were you, little missy."
Jinny stood up bravely. "I'm just saying it's no deal cause our father happens to be one of the cops after you and he'll be home soon, so I'd listen to me if I were you, buddy boy." She crossed her arms and waited for the man's reply.
"You know it'd be a d-mn shame for a pretty girl like you to get raped by a mean old guy like me wouldn't it?" the man said, getting in her face.
"Oh, wouldn't it be sad for an old guy to get beaten to death by a pretty little girl like me." Casey began to prepare himself to fight. He knew what his sister was doing. It was the same routine they'd always done when they were younger and played together. One would always be the cop and the other the robber. And they would pass back and forth these same lines Jinny was using.
The man began to laugh uncontrolably. "You? Beat me up? Mm, hmm...you're what? 14?"
Jinny punched the man in his stomach, making him gasp for breath. "Why don't you try 16," she said, calmly.

The man raised his hand to slap her, but as Jinny was ducking, Casey stood up and said, "You lay a hand on her, and I'll punch you, too!" Jinny looked back at her baby brother, shocked at the command his voice had all of a sudden then she winked, her signal for a certain play they had had planned for this sort of thing since she was 8.
"Oh, yeah, and you're what? 9?" the man said.
"9????" Casey said, his voice whining. "I'm not 9!! I'm 13!!!!!" he shouted as he gave the man a punch to his eye he wouldn't soon forget. Jinny clapped for her little brother, as Casey smiled at his sister then gave the man a glare.
"What am I doing getting beat up by some kids? I'm the one with the gun!!" the man said aloud, to himself.
"Kids? Did he just call us kids, Jin?" Casey said, walking towards the man.
"Yes, I believe 'kids' was the word he used for us..."
"Can we let him get away with that?" Casey said, grinning, as they were both now cornering the man.
"Not a chance," Jinny grinned. She grabbed his gun out of his hand simply, and they both jumped on him and began to beat him up and take what he'd stolen away from him. But he was a little too quick for them, he was after all, years older and pounds heavier. And all of a sudden their plan, which had been working, took a slight malfunction as the man kicked Casey in the stomach, making him choke, and he grabbed Jinny's shoulder and slammed her underneath him.

Jinny tried to kick him off her, but he voraciously and wildy grabbed her shirt she had on and whisked it over her head as she screamed. He grabbed her arms again and flung her body on the couch as he jumped on her and nearly crushed her underneath him. Jinny tried to kick him and get a hold of something to hit him with, but it was no use. He was at least 60 pounds heavier than her, and mostly muscle. He slapped her twice to get her to settle down then punched her in her stomach, which made her lose control and gasp for air. In that instant he unzipped his jeans and began to pull her jeans off her hips. She tried to push him away, but was again hit in the stomach. The man began to bite and slober over her neck, and she screamed even harder. He violated her every right as a woman, in ways she never knew a man could. And for the first time in a long time, she felt vulnerable and completely powerless. But all of a sudden, the man's body was grabbed from behind and yanked off of hers. She looked up shocked to see who was saving her and was even more shocked to see Casey's furious face, pounching the daylights out of the man. He swore like she'd never heard him swear, and was more red than she'd ever seen him before. He kicked the man where it would hurt, and Jinny watched, shocked, amazed, proud, and dumbfounded at her little brother.

Jinny got up and helped Casey restrain the man.
Casey called their father as Jinny watched the man, who was sitting in the corner Indian style, terrified to move for fear of their wrath. She spit in his face and kicked his stomach, then put his gun far away on the kitchen table.
"So, you gonna be robbing any place then running inside a house with teenagers anytime soon?" Jinny asked the man, as she grabbed her shirt and put it back on.

He glared at her then looked at his gun over on the table. "Don't even think about it," Jinny glared.

Just then the door flew open and John Sr. came in with two other officers.
"Here he is, gentlemen," Jinny grinned.
"Thanks, Jinny girl, good job," John Sr. said. He smiled proudly of his daughter. "She caught them all by herself," he grinned, telling his fellow officers. He also noticed her hair looking quite wild and her face a little red. He decided to bring it up later.
"No, I didn't actually, not all by myself," she smiled, winking at Casey.
Casey smiled sheepishly and looked down. "You help, too, Cas?" John Sr. asked surpised, as the other two men cuffed him and read him his rights.
"Yup, he sure did, punched him and tackled him and everything," Jinny smiled, as Casey blushed.
"Well, I'll be," John Sr. smiled. He patted his son on the back.
"Bye, John! We can take it from here! Thank your kids for us, huh?" the two police officers holered to him as they took the robber down to the station.
"Will do! Good job, guys, I'm really proud of ya. Uhh...Jinny, are you OK?" he asked, looking curiously at her swollen eye and how bent over she was, holding her hurt stomach.
"I'm fine," she said, firmly, not letting Casey have a word. "I'm fine," she whispered.
"Well, OK," John Sr. said, not assured, but moving on. "Well, Cap brought me back because this drug dealer guy I had arrested years ago got out of prison and has started dealing again, and so I gotta go to Jersey and get him. Now, I've arranged for John to come over and stay with you guys, it should hopefully only be for the weekend, this drug dealer guy shouldn't be too hard to track."
"OK, dad, when ya leaving?" Jinny asked, putting a hand on her hip.
Casey sighed. 'Great,' he thought, 'a weekend with big brother John.'
"Tonight," John Sr. answered. "So, I'm gonna go start packing. John should be over here any minute."
"Great..." Jinny murmured under her breath.
"Oh, Jin, maybe it won't be so bad," Casey said. Jinny looked at Casey with a, 'Yeah, right,' look and he shrugged. Just then the door opened and in came John Jr. in some shorts and a wife beater, (no pun intended ;) ).
"Hey, guys, so I get to watch you two, huh?" he grinned.
"We can take care of ourselves," Jinny said, stepping up to him.
"Oh, you can, huh? That why you have a black eye and you're holding your stomach and your cheek is all red?" he smirked.

Jinny socked her brother and let him have it. Casey came up behind her and tried to hold her back. John Jr. came back at her full force and took her head in his hands and slammed her head up against their wall.
"You little twirp!" John Jr. shouted under his breath, as he pulled back and held his bleeding lip. He took another sock at her once she turned around, but Jinny caught his hand aimed at her in motion stopping it, then punched him back. John Jr. stumbled back and held his bleeding jaw.

And by the time John Sr. came out with his lugagge, he had to pull them apart.
"Guys, guys!" he shouted. "Oh, man, guys, please don't fight while I'm away." He saw both his children's bleeding faces and shook his head. "Please don't kill each other while I'm gone," he sighed.
"Yeah, yeah..." Jinny and John Jr. mumbled at the same time.
"Well, I gotta go down to the station, pick up some files, then I'll be going to the airport and the plane leaves at 7, so I won't be coming back home. Bye, guys, I'll miss ya," John Sr. said, hugging each of his children.
"Have a good time, dad!" Casey said.
"Yeah, catching drug dealers, my idea of a party...well, see in on Monday hopefully! Bye!"

They all said goodbye to their father then once the door had closed and the car driven off, John Jr. laid down the rules. He stretched out on the couch and made himself comfortable. "Okay, now, Casey, you get to do all the housework, cleaning, vaccuming, dusting, bathrooms...Jinny, you do the cooking, laundry, and driving to get groceries and stuff, and me, well, I get the T.V," he smiled, picking up the remote.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, you are gonna do something," Jinny said, walking up to him.
"Yup, just like I said, I'm gonna watch T.V." John Jr. smirked. "Oh, and I'm gonna do one more thing."
"Mm, hmm...and what is that?" Jinny said, angrily, folding her arms.
"I'm gonna have a party tonight," he grinned. Jinny lightened up and almost smiled. That had possibilities.

John Jr. made himself comfortable at his father's desk and called all of his buddies from the Academy to come over that night. Jinny could only fantasize about what most of them looked like, and what she imagined, she liked.

Once he was done, he then called up all his other "friends," most of whom Jinny recognized by the way he was talking to them must be female...

Finally, an hour later, after Jinny figured he must have called the whole city of SF, John Jr. stood up and said, "Hey, Jin! Go to the store and get some chips and dip and stuff."
Jinny grumbled under her breath, but decided to just do it, besides, she could stop off somewhere and get a shirt she'd been wanting for a while. She drove off, fearful of leaving her two brothers alone, but off nonetheless. She picked up the chips, dip, soda, and then swung by an outlet store and got a pair of black leather tight pants, and a black tube top.

She came home, was relieved to find both her brothers in one piece still and prepared for the evening. She changed and looked in the mirror. She hadn't looked at herself too long or too hard in quite some time, and she hardly recognized herself. Her jaw had widended, her cheeks thinned, her eyes older, and her hair was much longer. She swept it up and put a clip in it, then admired how she looked in the leather pants and black top. Walking out of her room, she ran into John Jr.
"Whoa, watch where you're going," he mumbled, as he roughly pushed her aside and out of his way.
She roled her eyes and glared at him. 'What a jerk..'
"Oh, Jin, where's dad's beer and crap?"
"Oh, I'll get it."
John Jr. nodded his head in a thanks gesture, but didn't say the words...

Jinny walked into her dad's room and found his stash and brought several bottles and cans out. She and Casey got everything ready, music, food, and drinks and all, and then they waited for the gang to arrive. And within the hour, people were showing up, Casey was retreating to his room, and people were getting drunk...

Jinny sat on the couch with a man John was going to Academy with. He seemed intelligent but was also a wild guy. He had gotten up earlier on the table and had started dancing when he took Jinny's hand, and they'd both started dancing together on top of the table to the cheers and whistles of the audience they had collected.
Now they were comfortably resting on the couch. The man, who gave his name as Frank, had grabbed Jinny's butt, and set her on his lap, with his arm around her. They both were quite looped. She was so drunk, she just laid her head back and nearly fell asleep. Him shouting in her ear woke her up however.
"Yoooo-hhoooooo!!!!! Hellooooooooo!!!!" he drunkenly sung in her hear.
She barely opened her eyes then let her head stay back. She was drunk, too, and nearly everything looked a little blurry. "I'm awake, I'm awake," she slurred, laughing to herself about nothing in particular.
"Goooooooooooooood," the man laughed to himself. "Come here, baby, that's right," he cooed laying her across his lap. He bent over and kissed her lips slightly for few minutes, then kissed her cheeks and neck and spread her out underneath him. After a few pleasurable moments, Frank's shoulder was slapped from behind roughly.
"Hey!" he said, in a garbled voice, because he was so out of it.
"Get off my sister!" John Jr. shouted, his arm's folded.
"Huh?" the guy said, in his alcoholic's fog. He closed his eyes and rubbed them. Then Frank was hauled off Jinny by her older brother, and John Jr. hit him in the face. Frank stumbled back and fell, then he just lied down and passed out.
"Jin, don't do that stuff here," John Jr. growled to her.
"Why not?" she hollered. "It's a party! It's sure as h-ll what you're doing!"
"That's different!"
Jinny stood up from the couch, and wobbled a bit but said, "Why?! Why is it different?!"
"I'M OLDER!"
"I'M OLD ENOUGH!!" she shouted.
"You know what? FINE!! Be the easiest girl in SF!! I really DON'T care!!" and with that, John Jr. looked around at all his silent and amused guests. "WHAT?! People!! It's a party! So...PARTY!!!" he shouted, as he turned up the music louder and walk over to a redhead. He looked over at Jinny and sneered, then grinned, and pulled the redhead aside, and Jinny folowed them with her eyes as they went to a room...

She then looked around the room at her prey. She wasn't gonna let John Jr. get away with having all the fun. She looked to the ground where Frank was lying, out cold. She shook her head then looked up directly into a face that was right in front of her.
"Hi," the guy smiled. She surveyed him over; he was cute, tall, dark hair, light eyes, and had broad, masculine shoulders. She grinned at him.
"You'll do," she said, winking.
"So will you," he winked back.
She liked him. He didn't just nod and do what she said; he had something to him, he had a decided will and personality.
"Shall we?" he bowed slightly, holding out his hand for hers.
"Sure," she said slowly, smiling, taking his hand.
"Good," he said, straightening up, clasping her hand, and leading her down the hall...

Jinny had to admit she was quite taken with him. She was used to being the initiator, but she liked being the pursued for a change. The guy stopped once at the end of the hallway, facing all the bedrooms in the Exstead house.
"Which would be your pleasure?" he asked, he was so charming Jinny could barely believe he was one of John Jr.'s friends, his eyebrows raised and waiting for her answer.
Jinny looked at her father's room, and noticed it was closed and she heard noises from in there, the kind that clued her in that she'd better not interrupt anyone in there. She then looked to Casey's room; he was in there, and she didn't want to disturb him, which left her room. It was her turn to lead. She took his large hand in hers and lead him into her room, closing the door behind her.
He breathed in deeply for a moment then said, "You don't know who I am, do you?"

hehe, I'll let ya all sleep on that...more tomorrow! :D

K, She got "stupid/drunk" with one guy: that didn't work so now she's gonna go and get "stupid/freaky/get it on/ do what she's good at" with another one: Hmmm.... is this going to work out? Possibly, possibly not...

We shall have to wait and wait and wait and beg Susan and annoy Susan for more until we can find out...

Jinny stopped and looked at him closely, confused. She swore she'd never seen him before in her life.
He laughed, noticing her obvious oblivion to who he was. "I know I've changed a little, but not that much," he smiled, looking shyly at her.
She looked him over and still couldn't place him. "Uhh...I have no idea who you are," she said, slightly suspicious.
"Well, I guess I shouldn't be surprised, we haven't seen each other in six years."
Jinny thought, 'Six years...that would make me ten...who did I know when I was ten?' She thought of whose classes she was in and who was in it, then it hit her.
"Here, maybe this'll bring back some memories," he winked. He stepped in closer to her, put both his hands around her waist and dipped her over his knee and laid a kiss on her that nearly made her lose her balance. She swung both her arms around him and kissed him back, savoring the memory he was evoking. On the playground, in elementary school, he had done that. It had been her firct real kiss, and she instantly remember him.

She let go, got up, and stepped closer to the guy and examined him then smiled. "Darren Sands?"
"Good job, no one ever gets it right first guess."
"Well, with a hint like that," she cracked, smiling.
He laughed.
"Wow, you have changed...A LOT..."
"Well, that just tells ya what adding 8 inches and losing 50 pounds does to ya," he winked.
"Boy, it sure does," she said, under her breath. He must have replaced those 50 pounds with muscles because he was about the same size, only it was hard. He now towered over her at 6'2, and she couldn't believe her eyes. He'd always had a cuteness about him, but now he had the body to match.
"So, what have you been up to? Why'd you leave our elementary school?" she asked. "Here, sit down," she said, motioning to her bed.
He nodded and sat down next to her. "Well, we moved for 3 years to Las Vegas because of my dad's work, but then we didn't like it out there, so we came back."
"Wait, you can't be in the academy then, you're my age."
"No, I came along with my older brother, he's in the academy."
"Oh, how come you're not going to SF High?"
"It's not in our district, and dad didn't want to have to get a district trasfer, so I just go to the high school right near us. But it's good, cause I'm working right around the corner form it after school."
"Oh? Where ya workng?" Jinny asked, curious. She was still baffled that Darren Sands, cute, little, Darren Sands, had muscles and was actually taller than her.
"Oh, it's a little ice cream shop," he laughed. "Nothing fancy, but it pays well actually...what's been happening with you?"

Jinny always dreaded this question from people who she'd known before her mother committed suicide. "Oh, nothing much..." she lied. A LOT had happened, she just couldn't bring herself to say it.
"Yeah, I'll bet, Jin," he laughed, knowing a lot happens in six years. "Where's your parents? They gone for the weekend?"
Jinny looked away and tried to think of a good answer, which wouldn't completely be a lie. "Yeah, they're gone..." she mumbled.
"Oh," he said, a little confused, it was obviously a subject she didn't like, and he wondered what had happened. He brushed it off, he could always bring it up later.
Jinny wanted to change the subject and fast. "So, wanna do what we came here for?" she asked, an eyebrow up. "For old time's sake?" she winked.

He smiled. "Sure."
She leaned into him and kissed him. She pulled back and looked up at him, an expression of should I continue on her face.
He nodded, reading her perfectly, and they began to kiss more seriously. He put his arms around her and slowly lifted up her tube top, her bra revealed. She then slid down on her bed underneath him and pulled him on top of her. He began to kiss her like she'd never been kissed before. His were tender, they were loving kisses, not rough ones, yes they still held all the peasure of the other kind. He swept her long hair out of her face, which had come out of her clip, and looked at her and smiled. She smiled back, then unbuttoned his shirt slowly, as he kissed her cheeks and neck and worked his way down. She flung his shirt off, revealing an even broader and better chest than she'd imagined. She kissed his shoulders and he eased in so he was more to her side, and not squishing her on top. He rolled underneath her and lifted her by her arms so she was on top of him. It was her turn. She backed away for a moment, so she was looking down at him, underneath her. He rubbed his hands up and down her arms and smiled. He then moved his hands so he was rubbing her shoulders, then back, then further south... She sat on top of his chest and undid her bra slowly, as he watched, entraced. Before long, they were at it under the sheets. A half an hour later, Jinny and Darren were lying on the bed, his arms around her from behind. He kissed her neck tenderly then whispered, "So, what's going on with your parents?" Aything wrong?"
Jinny looked away and didn't know what to say. "Uhh...no, everything's...fine..." she mumbled.
He rubbed her bare back from behind the turned her around so she was facing hime. He put a finger on her nose then kissed it. "Something's wrong...what is it? They divorce? I'm so sorry if they did," he said, sincerely.
She looked into his light green eyes; they were full of such love, such care, an obvious desire to know if eveyrthing was OK in her family.
"No, they didn't divorce..." she mumbled, looking away, feeling her eyes well up with tears.
"Then what is it?" he asked, cocking his head. He smoothed his hand along her cheek. "I'm sorry, you don't have to tell me anything, I just want to make sure everything's all right." He rubbed her nose with his gently and kissed her forehead.
"It's all right, I understand...a couple years ago... my mom..." she paused, somehow she still couldn't find the words, after all that time. He put his cheek up next to hers and kissed her cheek lightly in a gesture of reassurance. She relaxed and felt completely comfortable with him. She could feel his warmth and love coming through his eyes to her. Why he loved her she didn't know. She closed her eyes and rested her head in his chest and took a deep breath then whispered, "She killed herself." She closed her eyes even tighter to keep any unwanted tears from coming out.
"Oh, my God," he said, in shock. He kept saying that over and over, he just couldn't believe it. He wrapped his large, protective arms all the way around her, envolping her in his body and love. He put a hand behind her head and brought her even more into him, and he held her with care. She let any and all anxiety or tension or still present pain out and cried softly in his arms.
"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry..." he repeated, as he wiped a few of his own tears and kissed hers away. He was the only guy she knew who'd reacted that way. Most just looked surprised and didn't bother to console her. She knew had found a special person and friend in him. He seemed to be able to peer into her soul when he looked in her eyes. And she felt the same way about him when she looked deep into his eyes. She only hoped she could keep him...

Here's a lil more, folks!

At 4 am, Jinny's eyes opened groggily, and she looked up into Darren's face and smiled. He was standing and looking over her and pulling her sheets over her. She even liked the way he smelled, it was clean and fresh; she wondered what cologne he was using, because whatever it was, it was good.
"You going somewhere?" she asked, noticing that he was all dressed.
"Yeah, I gotta be going home now, mom'll start to worry," he whispered, rolling his eyes. "I was gonna leave you a note, but had to tuck you in first," he smiled. It was such a sweet smile, full of sincerity and pure love, expecting or wanting nothing from her, but that she would simply receive it, which she gladly did. She smiled. 'A guy who tucks you in? Gotta keep my hands on him...' she thought.
"I was thinking maybe we could get together sometime. I know school's gonna be starting soon, and I'll be busy with that and work...wanna go see a movie together or dinner sometime?"
"Sure," she smiled, still baffled as to why he seemed to care so much.
"Good, I'll call you tomorrow, love, bye!" he said, as he leaned in and kissed her lips softly. She liked what he called her, "love," and wondered what she'd done to get such a great guy on her life. She looked up at her ceiling and tried to see through it to heaven. She wanted to know what wonderful deed she'd done to receive such a gift. She laughed and really smiled for the first time in quite a while. She felt her throat was dry, so she got up to get a glass of water. Putting a robe on, she stepped out of her room and began to walk down the hall. But she noticed her father's bedroom door was open and loud snoring was coming from it. She tip-toed into his room slowly and peeked in. She saw her older brother's naked body lying on his bed, spread out. His mouth was wide open and the snoring sound bellowed from him. She made a disgusted face and had to cover up his bare body lying there. She looked away as she pulled the sheets over him. He scratched his chest and yawned as she did, then, being drunk, with his eyes still closed and his head in a dream, he reached out and grabed her face in his hands. "Oh, baby, don't go so early..." he moaned. Then he brought her face to his lips and threw his tongue down her throat, before she could do anything about it.

John Jr. put his other hand on her butt, and pulled her on top of him. She grabbed his hands off her cheeks and pushed him away in disgust. "JOHN!!!!!" she screamed. "IT'S ME!!!! NOT ONE OF YOUR WHORES!!!!!!!"
John Jr.s' eyes flew open and he made the most sour and disgusted face she'd ever seen. "JINNY!!!! AWWWWW, MAN!!!!!! GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!" he shouted, wiping his mouth over and over and spitting her out. He threw her off him, and she hit her arm up against a wall. He leaped out of bed, completely naked, and ran to the bathroom, where he washed his face and lips and mouth out.
Jinny rolled her eyes then began to wipe her mouth off. She walked past him cleaning his mouth out in the bathroom on her way to get some water in the kitchen, and he gave her a dirty look. Casey walked out of his room, after hearing John scream so loudly.
"What happened?" he asked, his voice cracking because he'd just woken up.
"Oh, it's nothing, Cas, go to sleep," Jinny mumbled, getting herself some water.
"Nothing my -ss!!" John Jr. shouted, his mouth filled with mouthwash. "I ONLY KISSED MY FLIPPING SISTER!!!!! BLECK!!!!" he said, as he spit out the mouthwash. "EWWWWW!!!!!" he screamed.
Casey made the funniest face she'd ever seen. He looked so confused, so lost, he wiped his forehead, yawned, and scratched his head. "Hmm...maybe I'll understand in the morning," he mumbled to himself, shaking his head. Jinny laughed, drank her water, and walked back to her room.

"Maybe that'll teach you to be more careful of who you kiss," she smirked, an eyebrow raised, as she passed her brother, still spitting mouthwash out.
"You kiss me again, I swear, your lips won't be seeing the light of day again!" John Jr. yelled.
Jinny laughed then whispered, "Shhhhh, you'll wake Casey."
"Oh, what are we? Married now? And Casey's our kid we can't wake up?" he joked, laughing at her classic mother's line.
She shook her head. "Funny YOU should be talking about marriage," she joked.
"Hey, can I help it if no girl is good enough for me?" he said, honestly asking her the question.
She looked at him and burst out laughing.
"Hey! What's so funny? Is something funny about that? Why are you laughing?" he shouted, but laughing all the way. He tackled his siter from behind and they both fell to the ground, laughing.
Casey woke up again, hearing their collective body weight hit the floor, and he opened his door and stepped out and looked over at them again. He yawned and scratched his head somemore.
"I must be dreaming..." he mumbled to himself. There was no way his sister and brother could be laughing together. He shook his head and went back in his room, as John Jr. and Jinny laughed even harder.

The next morning Jinny woke up and smiled for no apparent reason, then the previous night came back to her. For some reason, she just couldn't stop smiling. She got out of bed and looked at herself in the mirror. "You go, girl," she whispered at her reflection as she started dancing around her room. She picked out some clothes from her closet, took a shower, got dressed, ate breakfast, and waited for Darren to call.

"Hey, Jin, who was that you went to your room with last night?" John Jr. asked, as he dug into the eggs Jinny had had to make for him.
"Oh, he's a nice guy, really nice..." Jinny smiled.
"Got the hots for him? Or have you two already hit all the bases?"
"I'll just take a no comment stance on that one, seeing as how it's none of your business anyways" Jinny smirked, turning on the television.
"So, how was the party last night?" Casey asked, coming out to the kitchen to make himself some breakfast.
"Oh, good...Jinny and I hit several homers...at least..." he laughed. He stuck his hand out and she slapped it giving him a high five.
"Oh, that's...nice..." Casey said, he didn't understand what they all saw in partying and sleeping with someone you've met for five minutes.

Jinny turned on the news, and John Jr. grumbled. "Aww, c'mon, let's watch a movie or something, not the news."
"Don't you want to be informed with what's going on the world, John? Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot, you'd much rather spend all your time under the sheets in your own little la la land."
"Yeah, like you don't...." he grumbled.
"Oh, guys, don't fight..." Casey said, from the kitchen. "Oh, I got an idea, why don't we go to the park and play football or something?"
"Oh, good idea, Casey!" John Jr. mockingly agreed. "It can be you and Jin against me, and I can cream ya both."
"Yeah, and where does that happen? In John's little dreamland? Yeah, suuuuure..." Jinny smirked.
"You're getting an awful lot of attitude there, missy, in your old age..."
"I only learned from the best," she grinned at him. John Jr. was about to make a reply when the phone rang. "I got it," Jinny said, getting up. She walked to the phone and picked it up. "Hello?"
"Heya, Jin! It's Darren. Remember me?" he joked.
"Ummm...4th grade...first kiss...oh, and I vaguely remember something last night..." she laughed.
"Oh, good, just making sure I wasn't dreaming that one..." Darren joked. "So, whatchya up to?"
"Hmm...let's see...making my pig of a brother breakfast, and deflating his rather large male ego...my usual morning..."
"I HEARD THAT!" John Jr. shouted.
"Ahhhh, I see..." Darren laughed. "Well, maybe I have a solution to make your afternoon a little better."

"Hmm..." Jinny thought to herself. "Well, I should probably be home this afternoon to make dinner for the two cows I have to feed, then we can see the movie at 8, how's that sound?"
"That sounds great." And Jinny knew he was smiling.
"Good...and besides, I like seeing movie's at night anyways."
He laughed. "Ahhh, I think I get your drift."
"Good," she laughed.
"Well, I'll pick ya up a little before eight then, k?"

"Good, see ya then, bye!" he signed off.
Jinny couldn't stop smiling as she put the phone down.

"And what do you call this?" John Jr. asked, looking at the large pot Jinny set on the table for their dinner.
"It's called beef stew, John," Casey informed him, as he dished himself some.
"Oh, I thought it looked more like sh--."
"Yeah, well, I guess after staring in the mirror so much at yourself, everything begins to look like you," Jinny shot, as she sat down and dished herself home.
"Oh, good, Jin, very good..." John Jr. sarcastically said, as Casey gave her a high 5 at the put down.
"Thanks, I liked that one quite a lot myself," she grinned. "Go on, just have some."
"Ehh...all right..." he said, taking a large helping. He put a spoon in it and slowly put it in his mouth. He waited for a moment then began to chew. Casey and Jinny both watched him closely for his reaction. "Not bad," John Jr. finally said.
"Well, praise Moses, it's not bad," Jinny said, sarcastically. John Jr. proceeded to practically lick what was left in the pan of the beef stew, and Jinny knew, deep down, he loved it.

At 7:50, Jinny's doorbell rang. She got up, smiling the whole way and answered it.
"Hiya!" Darren smiled at her. He looked quite handsome in some dark jeans and a white turtleneck. "Well, don't you like nice," he winked at her, in a light gray, fuzzy sweater and light jeans.
She grinned and thanked him then shouted to her brothers in the living room, "Bye, guys! Don't miss me too much!"
John Jr. laughed and said, "It's OK, these ladies on Porn T.V. will keep us company."
"Bye, Jin, have a good time!" Casey called to his sister.
"One of these days I'd like to meet them," Darren smiled.
"Yeah, I'll try and arrange a day when John's not being stupid....wait, in that case, I don't think you'll ever be meeting John," Jinny laughed, as they walked to Darren's car. He laughed and put and arm around her back as they walked.
"Who was the other one? I don't remember him at the party."
"Oh, he wasn't, he's not one for parties, he's Casey, my younger, 14 now, he's sweet," she smiled softly, thinking about him.
"They sound pretty interesting," Darren laughed, as they got in the car and drove off.
"Yeah, they're my little men," she said softly, smiling to herself. Each had a special place in her heart, despite their vast difference.

Jinny and Darren reached the drive-in and settled into their spot. Jinny scooted in next to him and he put his arm around her. He looked over and kissed her cheek tenderly once then made himself comfortable to watch the movie. Jinny found herself, for one of the few times in her life, actually in love with him. It wasn't a sexual appetite she wanted to feed, it wasn't infatuation; it was a pure, unconditional love for the sweet guy she'd known in elementary school who'd given her her first kiss. She breathed in deeply, afraid of what that meant. Being in love with someone has its ups, but it also has its down. At this point in her life, she didn't care anymore. Any small bit of happiness, whatever the risk or possible negatives, she felt she wanted to go for. She didn't often like to be vulnerable or present herself to be in any way weak, moved, or show feeling of any kind. But with Darren, she felt confident in showing her true feelings. She knew he wouldn't in any way judge her or leave her because of them. She couldn't believe the rush of emotions and feelings she was feeling. She'd just met him again after not seeing him for six years last night, yet she'd already told him about her mother's death and cried with him about it. She rested her head on his shoulder, and she could feel his hand move so he was rubbing her arm. He kissed the side of her head and rested his head on hers. Jinny closed her eyes, hardly concentrating on the movie, and just smiled. It was all she felt like doing. The good thing was: Darren was smiling back.

She opened her eyes, smiled, and whispered back, "Yes."
"Oh, OK," he joked. "I'll let you sleep then," he laughed.
"Thank you," she grinned. He kissed her temple then turned his attention back to the movie.
She kissed his shoulder which her head was resting on softly then kissed his neck softly also.
"You sleepkissing or what?" he cracked.
"Yes, it's a fun activity, you should try it sometime," she laughed, nibbling on his neck somemore.
"Oh, really? Maybe I can start right now. Why don't you teach me," he grinned, turning so he was facing her.
"OK...first, you want to kiss the side of the neck like this," and she kissed the side of his neck tenderly. "Then you want to go a little farther, but not quite to the target yet, so kiss the cheek like so," and she kissed his cheek, a little longer this time. "Remember to time your kisses just right, timing is everything..." she grinned. He nodded like he was enjoying this lesson. "Now you can try for your target," she said, scooting closer to him, putting her arms around his neck.
"Oh, goodie...and what exactly is my target?" he laughed somemore.
"This," she sexily smiled, looking in his eyes then kissing his lips, as if they were magnets.
"Mmm.." he murmured as they kissed. "So THAT's my target..." he mumbled, not taking his lips off hers. They both laughed as he moved so he was sitting in his driver's seat, facing foward, and she was sitting on his lap, facing him, her back to the movie screen. They continued kissing and ignored the stares and giggles they were getting from other people around them.

That night, after the movie was over, Darren drove by Jinny's house and pulled up to the side to let her off.
"I'll walk ya to the door," he smiled.
"Okay," she said, getting out. He walked up her, taking her hand in his.

Once they reached her front door, Jinny turned around to face him.
"Thanks, this has really been...nice," she smiled, looking in his eyes.
"I agree," he said, taking both her hands in his, then bringing them to his mouth and kissing them each once. "Jinny," he began, looking sincerely in her eyes. He took a deep breath and looked down for a moment then straight back into her gaze, which always locked their eyes. "I don't know what is happening, but whatever it is, I like it." The cool air whisked by them and made each shiver, but nothing could remove them from this moment.
"So do I," she whispered, knowing what he was talking about. It was all so fast, but it was all so good.
He nodded and looked away again and smiled to himself. "Well, I'll call ya tomorrow, k?"
"Okay."
He smiled then kissed her lips softly. "Bye, love," he whispered. He kissed her hand again, touched a piece of her hair that had blown in her face and put it back in its place behind her ear, then jogged to his car and drove off, waving to her as he went.

She waved back and couldn't help but smile at the memories made by the evening. She opened the door and walked in, hoping Casey was still alive after 3 hours alone with their older brother. As she walked in she heard Casey go, "Shh...John's asleep," quietly.
"Oh," she whispered back, shutting the door quietly and stepping in carefully.
"How was it?" Casey asked, still whispering. Jinny looked over and shook her head at her older brother who was asleep on the couch with his mouth wide open and snoring.
"One of these days he's gonna choke on a fly that wants to land on his tongue," Jinny whispered. Casey laughed. "Yeah, the movie was great. So was my date," she said, smiling to herself.
"Is he nice, Jin? I mean you can date whoever you want, it's your choice and all, but I just don't wanna see ya date someone who's gonna hurt you," Casey spoke, looking at her with his adorable, young, loving eyes.
"Yeah, he's nice," she smiled at him.
"Good," Casey nodded. He turned off the T.V. then said, "Well, I'm gonna go to bed now."
"Okay, sleep well, Cas," she whispered, hugging him before he went to his room.
"You, too," he said, in her ear.

Jinny looked over at her snoring older brother, lying on the couch. He looked cold, but she didn't want a repeat of the night before. She got out a blanket, prepared herself to run in case he tried something, and carefully put the blanket over him. She saw him turn his face towards her, eyes still closed, and he was about to say something, but before he could she said, "You kiss me again, I swear, your friend down there won't be in business for a while."

hehe, hope that lasts you most of tomorrow, cause Imma be busy...but more's a coming!

John Jr. opened his eyes and laughed. "Oh, Jin, I was awake, I was just messing with ya...so how was your date?" he asked, sitting up on the couch.
"It was nice," she said, softly, to herself. She got up and walked to the kitchen and started munching on some chips.
"That's good...as long as he doesn't push ya around," John Jr. said, turning on the T.V.
"Hey, how's the Academy going?" Jinny asked, realizing she hadn't ever asked him that, and he'd been there for a whole year already. They rarely actually talked and had an adult discussion or conversation.
"Oh, it's going good. I've met a lot of cool guys...the parties are the best, Jin. I'm telling ya, yeah, yeah, yeah, learn everything they want they ya to, but at the end of the day, don't miss the parties, Jin."
"I'll make a mental note," she smirked. "You think you're ever gonna get a degree? You can't go past officer without one, right?"
"Yeah, I know...prolly not, tho, I never wanted to be anything more than a patrol officer anyways, maybe highway patrol."
"Oh...well, I think I'll go to college somewhere around here...I wanna at least be an Inspector."
"Good...you'd be a good Inspector."
Jinny stopped was she was doing in the kitchen. 'Did he just give me a compliment?' she thought. "You really think so?" she asked, clarifying to see if her hearing was going.
"Yeah, I do."

Just then the phone rang. John Jr. answered it and he and Jinny both talked to their dad a little while. The case was going well, and they were only waiting on a key witness to talk and further incriminate their guy. They hung up after their converstaion and then went to bed.

Jinny layed down in her bed and imagined Darren next to her. She looked over at the empty side of her bed and smiled. Then she quickly drifted off to sleep, her mind filled with thoughts of him.

The next day, both Jinny's brothers sauntered around the house all day, unashamed and casual, in their boxers or less...
John Sr. came home late Sunday night, and he was welcomed back immensely. Despite his previous doubts about how his three children would survive the weekend, he found them all quite agreeable with each other and actually getting along for a change. John Jr. went back to his apartment that night also, and John Sr. was interested to know who this new guy was that Jinny was dating.
"So you two went to school together in 4th grade?" he asked, as they all sat in front of the T.V., eating a pizza that was just delivered.
"Yup, we did...he left because of his dad's work, but now he's back. He always was a nice guy, though," she smiled to herself, as she took a bite of her pizza.
"That's good," John Sr. nodded. He told them all about his case, and they listened, grasping his words of wisdom on how to be a good cop.

As August came to a close, it was time be getting to go back to school. The Exsteads had a quiet little birthday for Casey when he turned 15. Jinny was excited be finally be an upperclassman. While most of her friends were beginning to get scared about leaving home and having to go out on their own, Jinny couldn't wait to get out. She wanted her freedom and fast.

The night before her junior year of high school was about to start, Jinny, being in a good mood, and having been in a good mood since the day she reaquainted with Darren, prayed a small prayer as she was lying in her bed. She pulled the sheets over her as SF's winter was slowly creeping over the city. Her eyes glanced over her room, at the black bag she used as a backpack, filled with a new binder and all new paper and pencils, her clothes she had laid out for when she would wake up late and not have time to pick something out. She closed her eyes, sighed quietly, and whispered, "God, thank you for Darren. Please, don't let me lose him." And in thinking the word lose two faces came to her mind: her mother's and Willy's. For a moment, her eyes welled with tears, but she brushed them and her thoughts away and moved so she was on her side, and with another sigh she was asleep, ready or not, for the new school year and what it would bring...

I just realized...no1 has posted on this fic for almost 24 hours...*staring at Susan*...ahem!

Sorry, guys, won't be much this week...I have rehearsals every night after school, and I will for the next couple weeks, but hopefully I'll remember to post a little more every day... ;)

Her alarm rang, and for once, she readily got up. She'd gone to bed earlier and had gotten enough sleep. She breathed in deeply, turned off her alarm, got up, took a shower, got dressed, and stood in front of her mirror. She put on a little make-up, then walked out to the kitchen to make herself some toast. When she reached there she ran into Casey, who's first school day was that day also.
"So, you ready to be a freshman?" she asked, smiling, as she got out the bread. Casey was excited to be going to high school. He had his fears that he wouldn't be accepted, but he was still excited.
"Yeah, I'm ready to be a freshman, hey, would you mind if I come by and say hi at lunch?"
"No problem, sure, I wanna hear how your morning was," she smiled warmly at her brother, rubbing his hand.
"Great, where do you sit?"
"Oh, it's hard to find...look, I'll find you after your last morning class, what is it?"
Casey whipped out his schedule then said, "English, room 509, with Petty."
"Oh, OK, I know where her room is, I'll come by and get ya."
"OK," he smiled. They each had breakfast then Jinny drove them to school in her car which her father had gotten her.

Her first day being a junior went well, her teachers all seemed understanding enough. She met up with Casey at lunch, and he was having a great time. Already he'd met several girls who seemed to like him. 'Now wonder,' Jinny thought. 'He's so nice...' She took him to the spot where she sat and they had lunch together and Jinny reaquainted with her friends, and she introduced Casey to them. He shyly nodded at all of them but stayed quiet and only talked to his sister.
Jinny struck up a long overdo conversation with who she considered to be her best friend, Amy.
"So, what did you do over your summer?" Amy asked, pulling her thick, blonde hair into a ponytail over lunch.
"Hmm, let's see, my summer, nearly getting raped, kissing my older brother, finding the love of my life, your usual," she rolled her eyes.
"What?" Amy said, a little frightened. "Umm...kissing your brother? Do I wanna know?"
"It was an accident," Jinny assurred her.
"Oh, I hope so..." Amy said, taking a bite of her sandwich. "I know you've got it for just about every guy, but I didn't think that included your brother."
"Sicko!" Jinny laughed, punching her friend lightly.
"Ahh, I was only kidding, Jin..." the blonde laughed. "So, I wanna hear more about this finding the love of your life thing..." she smirked.
"He came over at a party John Jr. held at our house a couple weekends ago...in fact, wait, you prolly know him, you remember Darren Sands from 4th grade?"
Amy burst out laughing. "Darren Sands is the love of your life?!" she howled.
"Shhh!! The whole world doesn't need to know right now!" she laughed, hitting her friend gently.
"Oh, oh, this I gotta hear, how did this happen? YOU and Darren Sands...the short, little, chubby Darren Sands?? You've got to be kidding me."
"Hey, he gave me my first kiss..." Jinny said, in protest.
"Awwwwww, love at first site," Amy laughed, rolling her eyes.
"Yeah...but he's changed A LOT, he's gotta be 6'2 at least, and he's also toned up quite a bit," she winked.
"Oh, OK, now he's starting to sound more like someone you'd go out with," Amy smirked.
"Shut up!" Jinny laughed.
"So, really? It's that serious?"
"Yeah...I mean, we're not serious yet, but I just feel so confortable with him, I know I can trust him. He's pretty sweet, he's gonna stick around I think," she smiled to herself, softly.
"Awwwwww," Amy laughed, kidding her friend.
Jinny loked over at her giggling friend and shook her head, as she laughed also...

The school day ended and Jinny, tired from the unusual amount of walking and talking necessary for being at school, drove her and her brother straight home. They each walked in and started their homework to get it done all the sooner. John Sr. came home and asked them all about their day to which they each mumbled a, "Fine," and moved on.
But throughtout the day, Jinny couldn't take her mind off Darren. They'd become so close in such a small amount of time. She could hardly believe it had only been a few weeks. He called her that night and they arranged to have dinner the following night after his work.

"Sure," Jinny said, unable to hide the smile she'd become accoustomed to wearing.
"Good, see ya tomorrow!" he said, happily into the phone, then hung up.
Jinny put the phone down and smiled somemore.

The next day after school, an hour before Jinny was to be picked up by Darren, she stood in front of her mirror with her little brother.
"No, this one is better, Jin. The light purple is pretty on you," Casey said, holding up a violet blouse on her.
She shook her head. "Nahhh, too...frilly...now this one is nice," she grinned, admiring a black, almost see through, turtleneck. She held it up to her then looked at her brother. "Yes?"
"Yeah, black looks good on you, too, but you wear it ALL the time...see, the purple is nice for a change."
Jinny rolled her eyes. "Sorry Cas, this girl doesn't wear violet...ehh," she groaned. Then she laughed. "I can just imagine your wife, Cas, she's gonna wear pink and purple and have curly blonde hair and-" but she stopped noticing how uncomfortable he looked when she said that. She didn't quite understand why he felt so awkward, but she decided to drop it then.
"So, black turtleneck it is," she said.
"Okay," Casey said, laughing. "Whatever works for you, Jin..." he sighed, walking out of her room to let her change. She put on the turtleness and some make-up and in only a half and hour she looked stunning.
Darren pulled up to her house on time and came to the door to pick her up. She smiled at him as she said goodbye to her folks and stepped down the pathway to his car.
"That black turtleneck looks good on you," he smiled, kissing her cheek.
"Thanks," she said, feeling shy for the first time in a long time.

They reached the restaurant, were escorted to a table, and sat down across from each other.
"I didn't know it was going to be so fancy..." Jinny said, looking around the room at the fine decorations and paintings.
"Oh, don't worry, you look better than all the people in the room combined," he smiled, picking up his menu.
"Now I KNOW you're lying..." she smirked.
"I don't lie," he said, laughing. "So, what do you want? They've got just about every kind of food here."
She gazed over the menu and decided she wanted some of their pasta dish. Their waiter came by, took their orders, and then Darren leaned into her and took her hand in his.

"So how are ya, Jinny? I mean, not just how's school going or how was your day, but how are you, as a person? Your life? You doing all right?"
She just stared at him, not knowing what to say. He saw she was uncomfortable, so he said, "I know, that's an awkward question, and I don't mean to bring this up, but I can't even begin to imagine how painful that must have been, losing your mom, I mean...and, I just want to make sure you're doing all right."
Jinny looked away and couldn't answer. She knew she hadn't been dealing with her mother's death well, and she hated to admit that, but it was the truth. But another flag went off in her head. She knew she did need help to get through it. She needed guidance and someone to watch over her and make sure she wasn't succumbing to substances to aid in numbing her pain...
" I just want to help you, Jin, in any way I can," he said, sincerely, looking again deeply into her eyes, when she looked up and they went back into their locked eye positions. She guessed she didn't even have to tell him anything, all it took was for him to look in her eyes and he could read what she was thinking. "Let me help you, let me help you through this," he whispered, rubbing her hand in his. Her hand was cold, and his hand was warming hers up.

Jinny looked away as her eyes filled with tears, which only welled but didn't fall down her cheeks. She waited for a moment to collect her thoughts and finally she said, "Why do you want to help me?"
"Because I love you, Jinny."
She looked straight into his eyes, beginning another eye lock and soul seeing time.
"I know, it hasn't been very long since we've reconnected, but Jin, I gotta tell you, something has been happening in me. I just always want to be with you, I want to help you in anyway I can, I just...love you, Jinny," he whispered, obviously surpised by his feelings as much as she was. He brought her hand which was warm now, after being in his, to his lips and kissed her hand softly twice. "Please, Jinny, let me be here for you," he whispered, again, closing his eyes and kissing her hand.
She looked at her hand which had been kissed and wiped her eyes with her other. Once he looked up and they locked eyes again, she nodded and whispered back, "Okay."
He smiled, and mouthed, "Thank you." She wanted to hug him, but their table and seat positions didn't allow for it.
"No, thank you," she whispered back. They both breathed deeply and began to reflect on the committment they'd just made to each other. Jinny, that she would be open to help from Darren, and Darren, that he would help her.

Gonna be gone all night, so more of the date tomorrow! hehe ;)

Their food arrived, and they both began eating. They both remained fairly quiet, only making brief comments about the food or the restaurant throughout their eating. Both were in deep reflection. Jinny wondered if she deserved such a great guy. 'But he loves me...that's his fault for wanting to get involved with a girl like me...' she thought. 'I just hope I can be good enough for him.'
Darren broke the silence after a while and said, "Hey, why don't we go to my older brother's apartment after this? He's gone with some buddies of his skiing, while the Academy is on a small break."
"Okay, sure," she smiled.
"Good,' he winked.

They finished dinner, in quietude, and then Darren drove them to his older brother's apartment. It wasn't huge, but it was a typical bachelor's messy pad, with clothes everywhere, but Jinny didn't mind.
"Just make yourself comfortable anywhere," Darren smiled, as he went to the kitchen and get each of them a Sprite. He returned from his mission with two glasses of Sprite and sat next to her on the couch, where she'd lighted.
"He handed her her Sprte, she nodded a "thank you," then Darren reclined back in the couch, and rubbed her back to join him in sinking into the couch. She sipped her Sprite then leaned back in the crook of his chest and arm, and he put his arm around her shoulders and squeezed her tenderly.
"So, Jin," he said, quietly, "how are ya doing?" His sweet voice and manner made her totally comfortable with him, like she'd known him all her life, like those six years had never passed between them.
"I'm all right...I guess...I suppose I could be worse."
"Yeah?" he said, rubbing her shoulder somemore.
"I'm not sure if I've..." Jinny paused, taking her words slowly. She hated to admit failure or doing something she shouldn't have, but she felt, the right foot to start off this relationship is an honest foot.
"I'm not sure if I've," she repeated. "Handled things as best as I could have..."
"Jinny, when I went into your room, I noticed, in one of your drawers you had hanging out, there were lots of bottles and cans...they looked like beer cans and other alcoholic drinks."
That struck a nerve in Jinny which she ddin't like. She hated people picking out her faults, like they had none of their own. She had to fight back. "Hey, so I drink a little, no big deal," she muttered, angrily, sitting up and facing him.
"Whoa, Jin, you don't have to get defensive with me. I'm only telling you what I see, and wondering if it's a problem, cause if it is, I wnat to help you with it."
She backed down and knew she shouldn't have exploded like that, and something in him seemed to calm her and render her to be herself, without the sarcasm, without the attitude, without the defensiveness.
"I'm...sorry," she said, looking away and feeling bad she'd blown up at such a great guy.
"It's all right, honey, just talk to me and be honest with me and tell me how you're feeling, and then I can help. I don't mean to criticize or anything, I just want to help." He rubbed her back then brought her into him as she turned into to meet him. She buried herself, her thoughts, her emotions, and her problems in his loving arms. He kissed her hair and forehead then said, as Jinny was feeling the comfort of his arms, "Jin, like I said earlier, I can't even begin to imagine the pain and hurt you must have gone through and must still be going through after your mom's death. But anytime you need me or wanna talk about it or anything at all, you just call me and I'll be over in two minutes."
She rested her head on his shoulder and said, "Thanks." Then she paused and felt so many things she wanted to tell him. But things were holding her back: the fear of being rejected, the fearing of being abandoned... But one thing she knew about Darren, he would never do those things to her, so she decided to go for it. She opened her mouth to say something, paused for a moment then said, "I miss her so much."
"Oh, baby, I'm so sorry," he said, kissing her hair again.
"She was...everything....everything to me...and now...she's gone," Jinny said, in short phrases as they were difficult words to say and accept. A few tears welled in her eyes and her lip began to quiver slightly.
He wrapped his arms around her, and she felt safe and secure in his strength, power, and love. He kissed her over and over, in reassurance of his love.

hehe, more of this lil evening later... ;)

A while later, Jinny was resting her head on Darren's lap, with all her tears out she said, quietly, "I just wish I had been a better kid, ya know?" She wiped her eyes again and looked away.
"Jin, everyone wished they were better, but we're human, we're not perfect, and I'm sorry to say it, but suicide is a choice, she wasn't forced into it by anything you did, she made that choice."
Jinny wanted to fight back and protect her mother, but having had it come from Darren, she couldn't put on her defensive armor she used with most everyone else. He could see through it so easily. She also knew, deep down, he was right. Her mother had simply made a bad decision.

Darren wiped away a few extra tears from her face, and Jinny smiled. "I'm...I'm sorry," she said, shaking her head, looking away. "I don't want to always be talking about me...I want to help you, too, what can I do for you?"
"Jin, I'm fine, really, my life can't compare too much to stuff you've gone through..."
"No, really, I want to help. C'mon, I spilled my guts to you..." she laughed, sitting up. She sat up next to him and put her arm across his shoulders and kissed his cheek. "So, what's going on with you?"
"Well, it seems pretty silly compared to-"
"No, this isn't about me or comparing us, this is whatever is affecting you," she said, smoothing his neck with her soft hands. She smoothed over his hair and looked at him intently.
"Well...my parents have been fighting a lot lately...and it's...well, it's scaring me," he said, his face looking very sad and melancholy. Before she could say anything, he said, "And I know, just because they're fighting doesn't mean they're getting a divorce, but...I dunno, Jin, they're really been going at it, a lot more than usual." She put a hand on his cheek, and brought his face to her and she kissed his other cheek gently.
"They usually get along?"
"Yeah, normally, they, like, never fight, but now, every little thing is a huge blow up." Her hung his head and frowned. "Sometimes, I almost wish they'd just divorce, so there could be some peace for a change."
"Well, some marriages are worth saving...maybe you should talk to them about it."'
"What would I say?" he asked, looking at her. The beauty of her face hit him as he looked at her in a soft moonlit view. And he smiled out of nowhere. She saw his face change so irrationaly and he noticed her looking confused. "Sorry, you just look...really beautiful in that light...not that you usually don't, but you know what I mean," he smiled. And Jinny noticed when he smiled that one side of his mouth went higher than the other, and she loved his smile all the more for its crookedness.
"Yeah...but maybe you could tell them that you hear their fighting and you're getting tired of it, and you want something to change, either they try to start being nicer to each other, or...maybe the best thing is for them to split up."
Darren sighed to himself. "You're right, Jin. I'll do that. Maybe it'll help."
"It's worth a try."
"Yeah..." he whispered. He looked over at her again, startled by her breathtaking beauty in the moonlight. The light blue shade it cast on her brough out her pink lips and green eyes and she sparkled. "Jinny, I just keep asking myself, what have I done to get such a gift."
"What gift?" she asked, confused.
He laughed to himself quietly. "You. Your love. I don't know how I lived without it up till now."
"You know it's funny," Jinny said, looking down then back up and into his gaze. "But I feel the same way."
"You do? That's good," he whispered, leaving into her, not even knowing what he was saying, as he gazed back at her beautiful face.
"Mm, hmm..." she replied, also leaning in, till their lips met and locked. He turned his body towards her and gently slid on top of her as she laid down underneath him. With most guys, she felt the need to be in control and on top, because she often couldn't trust them. But with Darren, she felt so relaxed, so comfortable, so secure, she felt she had no need to be afraid or worry with him near her, and she glady gave him the strong position. He swept her hair away and kissed her lips and cheeks and neck, and with a tenderness she'd never felt from anyone before. He brought his hand up her side carefully then let his fingers play with her shirt buttons. He looked at her for the OK to continue, and with that simple gesture, she knew she'd found a man who respected her. She gave him a kiss for an OK, and he began unbuttoning her shirt...

hehe...even MORE of this lovely evening later... ;)
