Oprah has definitely changed in 15 years. Yeah, I remember when Oprah first started many years ago...she sure doesn't look like how she looks now. She was funny-looking then. And she kept gaining...losing...gaining....losing...weight... This is the first cover she was on, from March of 1988. Mr. Television 10-13-2005, 12:18 AM I remember this cover. Holy jebus, it creeped me out. Roseanne really clawed her way to being on the cover of multiple magazines. I lost count of how many times she was on the cover when Roseanne was on. I have a lot of Roseanne covers. Jonathan 10-13-2005, 12:19 AM Yeah, I remember when Oprah first started many years ago...she sure doesn't look like how she looks now. PZelda 10-13-2005, 12:21 AM Changing hairstyles seem constant too. Dear god, yes. I think she and Sally Jessy Raphael were betting on who could change their hairstyles and outfits the fastest. Oprah easily kicked Sally's ass. PZelda 10-13-2005, 12:32 AM Hey Sonny, in the years that you would stop buying TV Guides during the summer, when did you usually stop and start up again? Skywalker 10-13-2005, 01:09 AM Well, I have been thinking about leaving since early in the summer. There were a few times in which I did actually leave for a few days, but two friends always were able to talk me into coming back. I also have alot of bad feelings regarding certain things that have happened over the past few months. I tried to start over by changing my username and posting over here at Random, but I haven't been able to shake those bad feelings. And due to certain things that have happened over the past week, I think it is simply time to put SO behind me and move on. I have not decided for sure yet, though. I'm not sure if you'll ever read this but I want to respond just in case. I saw your thread and I really wish you would reconsider. I know a certain someone has let you down, but think about all the friends you've made over here. PZelda 10-13-2005, 08:03 PM Whos Daniel Selby? Okay, y'see, I found out about him about three years ago searching for Vicki Lawrence fansites. He has one at www.danieljselby.com/Vicki (it seems to be down at the moment) and he is a huuuuuuuuuuuuge Vicki fan. He has met her millions of times and even has her personal contact info...Everything. They are really good friends. But I never knew he ACTUALLY starred in a TV movie WITH her. That must have been how he became a Vicki fan. Moonlight Lady 10-13-2005, 08:06 PM AWWWWWWW! :( How old is it? Do you rotate it on a regular basis? (I hear 6 months is as often as you should rotate them) I hear ya about crappy mattresses. I have had my queen-size bed since early 2002 (going on 4 yrs now) and before that, I had a crappy twin-size mattress. I preferred the couch over my awful bed. I was sooo happy when I got my new bed. Well, last time I did was March, so i'm probably overdue for a good rotating. I want a full size bed. I have one of those temurpedic mattress things, you can put it over your regular mattress, so it helps a little. No, it didn't for me...but it was really bad last night. Never really paid attention to TV Guide releases -- my mom subscribed to TV Guide on and off in the 80's and 90's. A few years ago, our neighbor used to subscribe to a satellite TV Guide that was basically the same size the new TV Guide is now, but it had local listings for satellite owners. ANYTHING that doesn't display my listings in the Mountain time zone would be GREAT. That blasted Yahoo TV displays my time in the MT time zone and I am NOT in that zone...but 45 minutes from the line. HOWEVER, I like how Yahoo TV lists original broadcast dates for the shows....so....
