I REALLY like the Google toolbar, it's gotten EVERY SINGLE popup since I started using it back in March. I try not to surf on sites with a lot of popups...Here's how much it's blocked since March:
Everytime I get a lot of popups my computer sticks and I have to shut it off. I've never had any problem here though.
Mr. Television 05-02-2004, 12:43 AM Fire. ohno:

Yep. I don't hear them much in the day but late at night they always go by here.:( Its raining now too.
dandelion wine 05-02-2004, 12:52 AM Just downloaded the toolbar - thank you, Allison. :woohoo:

Yeah, I keep looking up there. It's only blocked one but that's because I haven't been all over the gallery.

I missed it when it aired on WGN (sadly). My heart threatened to jump clear out of my chest when I landed on the Sci-Fi Channel that afternoon. It was kinda mean of them to have it on when the movie came out in theaters, only to take away yet again. Won't get my hopes too high up, but it's back on so I'm happy.

I've been collecting them since July 2001, so it was great...they even had some England license plates, but I didn't get any =/ cool...Sounds like you found a lot of interesting items; I bought E.T. today..I saw the movie last night with my friend's daughter and decided to add the movie to my collection...

I love ET! I have that movie in my collection...I think we got it for Xmas in 1995 or so. :) I remember seeing E.T. at the movie theater, but I didnt see the entire movie because I was suffering from horrible cramps, so I spent most of my time in the bathroom... so this time I am going to watch the entire run of E.T. for the first time; last night I just saw the beginning and thought how I forgot what a cute movie it was...

Brian 05-02-2004, 10:52 PM This is going to be a great month of May. I get to go to my first game at the Padres' new ballpark, Petco Park. They get to play the Cubs and the Pads will wear their 1984 uniforms. Fans also get a "Cubs Buster Pin", whatever that is. The spring semester ends in a couple of weeks and then I get to go on vacation. I get to go to Colorado to see my sister, brother-in-law, and niece. Then my family has made plans to go to Las Vegas and spend two nights there. This is awesome. Great way to end a school year.

ABSOLUTELY!!!!!! I subscribe to Columbia House because they have TCBS on DVD there (only 36 episodes, though). I just received my 3rd volume in the mail the other day and I was sooo excited when I saw one of the episodes on there originally aired in 1970, but it was from 1976!!! I was soooo disappointed. I've seen a lot of TCBS episodes from 1972-78 but only clips from the 1967-72 seasons.
I REALLY REALLY wish they would put out ALL 11 seasons on DVD. That would totally rock, but I don't think it'll ever happen :( I think that Carol own the rights to every episode,I don't know why the 1967-1972 seasons aren't shown, maybe there weren't very many comedy sketches.
AtlantaBravesFan29 05-02-2004, 11:02 PM I guess they thought at the time that game shows weren't rerunable. Not until Game Show Network came along and we found out they had a bunch of shows, The Price Is Right,CBS Password,NBC Password,The Newlywed Game,Match Game,Let's Make A Deal, etc.

I saw a few "Carol & Sis" sketches from '67-'72 and they were funny, so I don't know why they don't show that. :(
I heard something about needing to get the rights to all the musical numbers done in the episode in order to get them released on DVD...That's part of the reason...Still, though. I heard also that's what holding up Happy Days and WKRP in Cincinatti for coming on DVD. Music clearances. I didn't know that it wouldn't matter about the music.

AtlantaBravesFan29 05-02-2004, 11:09 PM I am also surprised that I read through the episode guide of the Carol Burnett Show that Vicki didn't sing "The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia" on the show. That song was a huge hit,not only in the United States, but in Australia as well. It even sold 2 million copies. I don't know if you are familiar with Reba McEntire because she remade that song back in 1992.
AtlantaBravesFan29 05-02-2004, 11:12 PM I wonder if Vicki ever appeared on the 70's version of Hollywood Squares. They showed that on the Game Show Network for a while.
AtlantaBravesFan29 05-02-2004, 11:16 PM So I guess both Reba and Vicki sang "The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia"
I wish Vicki's album was on CD!!
AtlantaBravesFan29 05-02-2004, 11:18 PM I know that they have dug up some rare albums that have come to CD and hopefully someday Vicki's album will come out on CD with some bonus tracks and an interview from Vicki herself.
AtlantaBravesFan29 05-02-2004, 11:21 PM About 10 years ago,she appeared on the Statler Brothers Show on TNN and did a comedy bit as herself and then she sang "The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia" and nobody appaulded at the beginning, because that was a huge song.

As much as I'd like to have copies of those episodes, I'd much rather have originals. And I'm sure that goes for quite a few of the other fans, unless you really want them no matter what.

AtlantaBravesFan29 05-02-2004, 11:47 PM I think it is against the law to sell TV episodes that came off of regular television.
Actually,I wish that The Courtship Of Eddie's Father would come on DVD(The TV Series). I don't know if MGM,the distributor of the show has ever had DVD of TV shows in their collection.
AtlantaBravesFan29 05-02-2004, 11:49 PM I thought I heard that My Favorite Martian was coming to DVD. Warner Brothers has the rights to the show now.

I would LOVe to see the Tv series again, it has been since the 70's , since I have seen The Courtship of Eddie's Father; I heard Bill was incredilbe on that show; he started to seriously date and eventually marry Brenda Benet thanks to her appearing in an episode of TCOEF:) She left her husband Paul Petersen for Bill, whom, she had been friends with since she was 17...
dandelion wine 05-02-2004, 11:51 PM The movie was cute, and I liked it. Ron was adorable.
Still, I'd love to see the tv show released on DVD. We already have The Hulk, now we just need TCOEF and The Magician.

I really haven't seen to many episodes of it. When Bill Bixby died I think it was TNT that had a few episodes on and it was on another Cable channel in the 90's. I think it was the channel that became the Hallmark Channel. It aired in the afternoon and I only saw it a few times there.

It's not necessarily wrong.. I mean, it's bound to happen. Just a really big pain in the butt. It's happened to me a number of times, and that's when I step back and try not to be too sensitive about things. Being here on the boards after a hard day (just being here period) does a lot of good. Aww, what a story. :) I have no recollection of registering back in 2002, so it must've been really late at night when I did. I do remember I re-registered the night before I left for my senior trip last year... :D
It's pretty funny when they do that.
Oh cool! :D After reading through just about every board I decided to sign up. Been lurking around forever anyway, so why not? I went to sleep a couple of hours later, then came back and spent the entire day here. And only racked up maybe 10 posts.

I've seen almost every episode of that show when it aired on TV Land. I like the part in the episode "Felix the Calypso Singer" where Felix opens a suitcase that Oscar hadn't unpacked for over a year or so. He sees a present and he asks, "What is this?" Oscar then says, "It's your Christmas present I got for you last year. Merry Christmas." Felix replies, "What is it?" Oscar responds, "Assorted cheeses." Then Felix honks. That part makes me laugh every time I see it or think of it.
