Sam: I do my best. But my walk helped me think, and I glad I took it

Diane: [look verging on horror] Sam...your hair has leaves in it...

Lilith: Oh is it?

Diane: Yes, it is. But if you like, you can borrow my mini travelling iron - it's a wonder.

Sam: What! My hair is messed up

Diane: [gives him a mirror]

Lilith: It's ok Diane. I don't need to iron anything at the moment.

(He takes Mirror and fixes it and is relieved)

Sam: Wonder how that could have happen

(Slightly glances at Lilith, but wit noone noticin)

Diane: So Sam...do you regret anything you may have said - or may have not said for that matter - in our fight?

(Grins smugly)

Lilith: Yes, it's quite a wonder.

Rebecca-Sam I saw you and Lillith in the woods. You stud.

Diane: Woody and Rebecca said they saw you! As a matter of fact - I'm beginning to doubt that you're telling the truth!

Diane: Is that all you want? To put us women against each other? To toy with my emotions?

Sam: Well, Rebecca is not even making sense these days and Woody told you that we werent

Diane: Then why do you care what the other women think of you?

Sam: Makes me look good in front of guys

Diane: Ah! The old Sam Malone is back! And with him, all the old memories of our disasterous relationship!

Sam: Diane, its just a guy thing. You seem stressed out

Diane: [slumps down in a chair] Well I am. I can't help but be stressed out. Paranoid. Neurotic. On the verge of mental collapse! Oh god I'm getting deja vu!

Sam: Come on, let's go to bed,you will feel better

Diane: Well first I had to hear about all your recent relationships, then rumors of you and Lilith and then you don't say anything about our unborn child and then...oh what's the use. There's no point in trying to make sense of all this mess.

Diane: Sam, I want to be alone tonight.

Diane: Let's both think this through. In the morning, we can both discuss what this relationship really means to each of us. Because right now I can't think of any reason why I should be going through this hell just to spend the night with you.

Sam: Come on Diane, it isn't a big deal. All those other girls are behind in life, and the Lilith thing is stupid. And we both know how much fun we had last night

Diane: Sam. I'm serious. If this relationship really means that much to you, then you won't mind waiting one night to think things through.
