Did Larry David leave Seinfeld?

A fellow Seinfeld freak seems to think he left after season 7 or so. Is this true? If so, why?

Let's see because George I think started with Kruger by season 9 and what about Play Now in season 8

George got fired from Steinbrenner in episode 155, which is right near the end of season 8. I think this guy is wrong...

At the end of the season 7 episode list, he talks about an issue of TV Guide, which had some articles on Seinfeld in it.

"In another article, Jerry talks about next season, future seasons and the impact of Larry David's departure. "

That's what it said..doesn't make a lot of sense to me, I always thought Larry David was with Seinfeld til' the end.

Larry did leave.

I think Larry left as a regular writer after season 7 (1-134). He did not do any writing in 8 or 9 (134-178), except for The Finale(s).

I think it was the standard creative difference thing. I don't think it was a huge falling out or anything, they parted & went their ways (career wise). I say "I think" because I'm not real sure, but that's how it appears.
I'm into the show, & not as big on the huba-drama that may surround the actors [especially back when it ran].

It's weird, it seems to me that Larry D is pretty much a dick, but I can relate to his humor & think he's hilarious & clever. (just like I've mentioned before I like Jer the comic better than Jer the person-not that I know much of anything real about him)

I did find a couple relative snips out there:

I haven't seen the interview on the DVD in a while but I don't think it was anything personal between the cast members at all. I think he left because he had the opportunity to do "Curb Your Enthusiasm".

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

On the commentary section of one of the seasons, eight or nine, Larry David was gone, I think they said.
