What do you think? Does Adrian Monk have feelings for Sharona, is there sexual tension, or is it a case of his just looking out for her best interest?

A little bit of both probably!! Looking out for one another but also that sexual chemistry but when two people get together, the show always goes down the toilet and goes out of the top ten list!!

Hi all,
Let's hope "Monk" isn't the next addition to this casualty list: "Get Smart" "I Dream Of Jeannie" "Moonlighting" "Who's The Boss." I can't see how it's possible, considering the way Adrian's devotion to Trudy is such an important theme running through this series. Later, Art |

I think that there is definitely some sexual tension between Adrian and Sharona. But what's great about it, for us viewers - and especially us shippers, lol - is that they don't even seem to realize it. I think a romantic relationship could work, but *only* after Monk has solved Trudy's murder. I think that once he does that, he will finally have a sense of closure. Then, he can really begin to move on and someday remove his wedding ring.
I can't see Monk and Sharona being happy without each other. Sure, Adrian gets on her nerves, but as Sharona says in the Mexico episode, she doesn't know what she'd do without him. And in "Sleeping Suspect," Adrian says that he can't even consider the fact that she might leave him one day; it's just too painful to think about. Their relationship certainly goes beyond that of employer/employee; they are best friends. But, at the same time, Sharona is still his caregiver. I think she would need to emerge from that role in order for a romantic relationship to work. But I'm optomistic. "I believe in Adrian and Sharona!" Lol. But I do not by any means advocate their getting together ASAP. If it happened too soon, it would not only be impractical but, as others have said, it could doom the show. -Allison |

I can't wait for the Monk season premiere. It'll be coming up on June 18.
Clearly Monk and Sharona like each other but if the writers are smart, they wont put them together until the last episode.
