Default Celebrity Mole 2 -- still no release date, but here are the celebs...

For Stephen Baldwin and Corbin Bernsen, ABC's "Celebrity Mole" is the show so nice, they decided to do it twice.
Thesps are among the eight cast members set for the second celeb edition of the Stone Stanley Entertainment-produced reality hit, which has already quietly wrapped production in the Yucatan region of Mexico.

First celeb outing aired earlier this spring and was a ratings hit among adults 18-49.

In addition to Baldwin and Bernsen, the other six members of the cast are former NBA bad boy Dennis Rodman; kiddie star Keisha Knight Pulliam ("The Cosby Show"); model Angie Everhart; comic Mark Curry ("Hangin' With Mr. Cooper"); thesp Tracy Gold ("Growing Pains"); and former MTV veejay/talkshow host Ananda Lewis.

Ahmad Rashad returns as host, while "Mole" vet Clay Newbill returnsas exec producer-showrunner.

Stanley said Rodman is "about the most unpredictable celebrity we could have chosen" to be on the show, though Stone noted the ex-jock turned out to be well-versed in the vagaries of playing "The Mole."

"That dumb act he does is really a good act," Stone said. "He's actually really smart and understands the game."

First "Celebrity Mole" finished behind "The Bachelor" franchise as ABC's top-rated young adult reality show -- and the No. 4 young adult skein overall. It also gave ABC its best adults 18-34 numbers for the 10 p.m. Wednesday slot in six years.

Nonetheless, ABC has yet to figure out a return date for "Mole."

EIGHT CELEBRITIES COMPETE IN ABC’S LATEST CELEBRITY VERSION OF “THE MOLE,” ON “CELEBRITY MOLE YUCATAN”

Stephen Baldwin and Corbin Bernsen from “Celebrity Mole Hawaii” Return, Determined to Win this Time

Eight celebrities traveled to the beautiful Yucatan region of Mexico to compete in the latest celebrity version of “The Mole,” “Celebrity Mole Yucatan.” Newcomers Ananda Lewis, Mark Curry, Angie Everhart, Tracy Gold, Keisha Knight-Pulliam and Dennis Rodman compete against returning celebrities Stephen Baldwin and Corbin Bernsen, who hope to avenge their early executions on the Hawaiian version of the series.
Emmy Award-winning sportscaster Ahmad Rashad also returns to host the series, which is set to air later this year on ABC.
“We learned from ‘Celebrity Mole Hawaii’ that performers play this game very, very well because their acting abilities raise their level of deception,” said Scott A. Stone, executive producer of the series along with David G. Stanley and Clay Newbill.
The cast includes former v.j. and talk-show host Ananda Lewis, comedian Mark Curry (“Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper”), versatile actors Stephen Baldwin (“Usual Suspects,” “One Good Cop”) and Corbin Bernsen (“L.A. Law,” “Major League”), sitcom stars Tracy Gold (“Growing Pains”) and Keisha Knight Pulliam (“The Cosby Show”), supermodel Angie Everhart and legendary basketball bad boy Dennis Rodman.
“Celebrity Mole Yucatan” will be a special seven-episode version of the show, as each of the eight celebrities tries to figure out who among them is The Mole. The celebrities will use all their guile to uncover clues that could lead them to a pot of up to $250,000. They must complete a series of challenging physical and mental games to earn money for the pot, which one player will eventually win (last season comedienne Kathy Griffin took home $233,000). Working undercover against the team, however, is The Mole, a double agent planted by the producers to sabotage the players’ efforts. It is the goal of the players to decide who they think The Mole is, then learn as much about him or her as possible. In the final dramatic episode, The Mole is revealed and the one remaining player wins the jackpot.
“Celebrity Mole Yucatan” is produced by Stone Stanley Entertainment. David G. Stanley, Scott A. Stone and Clay Newbill are the executive producers.

Default Why Hollywood won't cast Erik von Detten anymore

http://www.nickiswift.com/27415/holl...-hurt-his-rep/

Quote:
Celebrity Mole and Kathy Griffin hurt his rep

Von Detten appeared on ABC's Celebrity Mole: Hawaii in 2003. He was part of a cast that included comedian Kathy Griffin, actor Stephen Baldwin, director Corbin Bernsen, and Victoria's Secret model Frederique van der Wal. Celebrity Mole was one of the inaugural celebrity-staffed reality shows, and its end game was to challenge participants mentally and physically, while trying to uncover the mole—or in this case, the celebrity saboteur. After van der Wal was exposed as the mole during the 2003 season, von Detten was axed, and Griffin snagged first place and the prize of nearly a quarter million dollars.

If appearing on the show itself didn't do the job, Griffin may have damaged von Detten's credibility with her outrageously negative post-win interviews. "There was [von Detten], the co-star of the not-very-popular Dinotopia, and, well, it's possible that he's ********," she told Entertainment Weekly. "I don't have a doctor's note, but on one of our van rides to a challenge, he would say stuff like 'I just wonder when I'm gonna lose my baby face,' and everyone else would want to talk about it! All day!"*About the group at large, Griffin said, "Jesus Christ, I've had beer bashes with bigger celebrities," adding, "And I count myself among that list: I'm a proud member of the D list."

Griffin also suggested von Detten could be under the influence. "For the first few days [of filming], he was basically just high and drugged," she told The Signal. "Once I got into the coalition with him, he just kept saying to me, 'You're the mole, man, and you are just f***ing with my head.' I would have to remind him daily that we were in a coalition and that I was not the mole."

To be fair, being brash and absurd is Griffin's signature style, but being the target of her jokes did not do von Detten's sputtering career any favors.
