Why did FOX cancel Titus
? was it because of the ratings? I thought it was funny.

Actually ratings were good so when ratings are good a show is cancelled because the person in charge of programming doesn't like it, which in this case is Gail Berman.

It's a cross between that, and subject matter. A lot of people started complaining about the show. DID YOU KNOW that Titus was actually getting higher ratings than King of the Hill?

Yes not only King Of The Hill but Titus also had higher ratings than Grounded For Life. I officialy hated Grounded For Life for good when it was not only renewed over Titus, but then picked up by WB, which led to the cancellation of another show I really liked, Do Over.

Basic answer?
Fox are idiots. This is the network that cancelled Family Guy, which beat WWF Smackdown at its peak of popularity in the all-coveted 18-34 male rating demographic. Fox has lost its... well.. .testicular fortutitde over the years. The network which gave us Married... With Children at a time when Full House was king is now too scared to air shows like Titus, and Family Guy, because they're too controversial, or "out there". |

Well that's the thing. Back when Married...With Children was on, Fox was still a fledgling network. Now that they're a major network, they want to play it safer and when they do air a show that takes a chance, it's only small risks and nowhere near as good as the ones they won't put on. They basically have idiots in charge of programming there now.

It's a mixture of that and the fact that the head of FOX programing hated the show.

So why did they put it on in the first place? Was there a different head of programming in 2000 than there was in 2002?

No, but they figured it would rack up huge ratings, because it was the only show as daring as it was at the time. But it was only a cult show, so the head of FOX cancelled it.

I don't understand why FOX cancelled Titus and Andy Richter Controls the Universe. I thought both shows were great.
Yet Ally McBeal and Party of Five both lasted for several seasons... And don't get me started on those awful reality show!
