There's a guy by the name of Frank Adamo, who I think was Dick Van Dyke's stand-in. I don't know anything about him being a real-life friend. He appeared in many "Dick Van Dyke Show" episodes -- often briefly as a delivery man, or something like that. I think he appeared also in several episodes of "The New Dick Van Dyke Show" as well.

By the way, what does this have to do with "Sanford & Son"?
