Default Yvonne's Elvis movie

Just wanted to let all the Yvonne fans know that one of her Elvis movies will be on Jan. 8th. Jan 8th is Elvis' birthday, so TCM will be showing an Elvis movie marathon.

Here's the times according to tvnow.com:

Kissin' Cousins
120 minutes- USA, 1964, Video

Directed by Gene Nelson and starring
Elvis Presley, Arthur O'Connell, Glenda Farrell
Jack Albertson, Donald Woods, Yvonne Craig
Tommy Farrell

An Air Force officer is sent to convince a rural relative to release some land for a missile silo.

Wed Jan 8 07:00A TCM- Turner Classic Movies

*Check your tv guide to make sure the time is correct*

Oh yeah, Yvonne was also in another Elvis movie. I think it's called 'It Happened @ the Worlds Fair'. I don't think it comes on Jan 8th, but I'll keep you updated if you're interested in seeing it.

Pitooey,
I still haven't seen that movie ("Kissin' Cousins"), and I was curious about something: Did Elvis look enough UNlike himself in the blond wig to *not* be recognized?

I was wondering because, while commenting in her book about what a prisoner of his own fame Elvis was, Yvonne said something to the effect of "It's too bad he didn't put that wig on once in a while and go out and do some of the things ordinary people do . . . without fear of getting mobbed."

It would seem to me that the blond wig wouldn't *quite* be enough to disguise him. In the one still photograph I've seen of him as the blond character, he looked just like himself to me. I think I'd have recognized him if I saw him on the street that way. But then again, I knew in advance that I was going to be looking at a picture of Elvis. So, I'm really not sure.

Maybe she was thinking of him wearing dark glasses, in addition to the wig.

Later,
Art

Elvis looked the same in the blond wig. Maybe if he wore different type clothes with the blond wig maybe he wouldn't be recognized. I would recognize him though. Do you know that Elvis was born with a twin brother who was really blond? It's true...

Yeah, his brothers name is Jesse. Eh, I'm trying to find some pics from Kissin Cousins. Give me a couple of minutes.

I've come across some very nice pictures. Let me save them and post them. Only one of them show him as a blonde. The quality is kind of crappy in that pic.

Yeah, now agree with Jenny Lee. He still looks the same to me, but if he tried wearing dark glasses with the wig, he could've gotten away with going outside and not getting mobbed by the fans.

Agreed. Hey, I noticed that you often have great Elvis pics in your sig. Maybe you go here, but I'm sure you could find some awesome pics of him on Google.com. Just click on the Image tab. Again, maybe you already do that or tried it and didn't find anything good.
