New thread start date feature is live

I was trying to add the thread start date with the help of ChatGPT. I couldn't get it display the date correctly. This way you will know when a thread was created.

The dates aren't correct. It lists the last post date.

I could try to change the date format.

I haven't been able to get it to display the actual thread start date yet. It only displays it for the last post. It should work eventually when I find the correct code to use.

ChatGPT is pretty amazing. There's no way I would have been able to get it to work otherwise. It guides you through every step. I had to edit the forumdisplay.php and search.php to get it display the thread start date.

I've only edited the template on the default SO Classic Blue style/theme. I haven't updated any of the mobile/responsive styles/themes yet.

Do you need to put periods at the end of thread titles? I find them a little bit annoying and unnecessary. It's one of my pet peeves.

I rarely see any periods in newspaper or magazine headlines.

I admit it’s weird that I end thread titles with periods, especially when they’re full sentences, and I can understand why that could be annoying to others. I’ve noticed it, myself, but I keep doing it. I think it’s a neurospicy compulsion of mine. (I found out I’m on the spectrum, abeit low, four years ago and suddenly a lot of my quirks make sense to me.)
