I was trying to add the thread start date with the help of ChatGPT. I couldn't get it display the date correctly. This way you will know when a thread was created.
The dates aren't correct. It lists the last post date. I could try to change the date format. |

Oh, that’s honestly going to be a great thing if you can get it to work. Fingers crossed.

The date is blank for me
I agree this would be a cool feature to have if it's within the power of the software |

I haven't been able to get it to display the actual thread start date yet. It only displays it for the last post. It should work eventually when I find the correct code to use.

ChatGPT is pretty amazing. There's no way I would have been able to get it to work otherwise. It guides you through every step. I had to edit the forumdisplay.php and search.php to get it display the thread start date.
I've only edited the template on the default SO Classic Blue style/theme. I haven't updated any of the mobile/responsive styles/themes yet. |

Now edit the thread title to introduce the change.
Sorry if that suggestion makes you mad AKA buddy. Please reply to my PMs, emails, faxes, postcards, and singing telegrams. |

![]() I admit it’s weird that I end thread titles with periods, especially when they’re full sentences, and I can understand why that could be annoying to others. I’ve noticed it, myself, but I keep doing it. I think it’s a neurospicy compulsion of mine. (I found out I’m on the spectrum, abeit low, four years ago and suddenly a lot of my quirks make sense to me.) |
