^^^ In my opinion, Tam was not Sheldon's only friend. Sheldon was the only person other than Missy that Billy Sparks took to during his own birthday party. Let us not forget that Billy was the only person in Sheldon's congregation when he tried to create his own religion during the eleventh episode of the first season.
