I've been reading comments on Reddit lately after hearing about the story about Michael Jacobs making Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter cry during a table read for Girl Meets World.
I came to learn that the general consensus among Boy Meets World fans is that Michael Jacobs, especially when he got too much creative control (especially by Season 7), was a real detriment to the series. And naturally, Girl Meets World inherited that problem. And in the case of Girl Meets World, it isn't as simple or cut and dry to immediately blame the fact that it aired on Disney Channel instead of ABC for its perceived handicaps or shortcomings. The bottom-line is that Boy Meets World was arguably, successful in spite of Michael Jacobs not necessarily, directly because of him. |
